I got 503 error images instead of the 1st 2 costumes...

Got a few of my own to add as well. It seems to pulse between a few animations, from a lighter puff of smoke/exhaust to a more focused/concentrated one:

No one is forcing you to post on these forums, nor mandating that you read others' feedback. If you cannot handle feedback to your ideas on the internet, then do not post on the internet. Also, not all suggestions boxes are anonymous. In fact, many provide suggestion cards with a place to write your name and even contact info, (particularly the case if it is one for customer vs employee feedback, which is more analogous to what we are to the devs)...

Ever see the robot MM pets while under the effect of group fly? It's like that. The character I posted is only like level 1, so I can't quite capture it, (though it does work while jumping too, but my printscrn finger ain't that fast, lol). I'll try to get a better picture when I can...

I didn't see this talked about, (or maybe I just missed it), but there is now a "travel aura" that gives you wonderful rocket plumes out the bottom of your feet, which you can select to occur while jumping, flying, or both! No longer must I be confined to rocket boots to get rockets on my feet! TYVM!

It is no different than any other suggestions box; You put in your idea(s) with no expectation that they'll either be seen/read, much less implemented. If they do? Well then give yourself a pat on the back - you are literally game-changing. The fact that anyone would think they deserve the developers' ear, or have a right to have their ideas lauded and/or implemented without question or challenge is the height of hubris...

Some Costume Customization Suggestions
biostem replied to SweetAnubis's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
My limited understanding is that there are only so many "attachment points" that an individual character model can use, which is why some outliers like the recently added Sibil robes take up the cape, belt, and a few other slots all at once, (again, going by memory here)... -
Eyebeams on my rad/rad def back in beta... freakin' EYE BEAMSSS!!!1 Just hovering around AP after being stuck to the ground for all those other RPGs! Laughing maniacally on my launch dark/regen scrapper as I street-swept from about 20-40 in all my IH-toggle glory!

ability to "lock" color selections in power customization
biostem replied to Starhammer's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Like an "exempt from global power color changes" type of setting? So toggling it would prevent future powerset or universal power color changes, unless you untick it or manually changed the colors? -
If you need something guarded and can't afford any lapses for silly little things like sleep, meal, or bathroom breaks, contact your local wizard and request a few "Volt Golems":

In a joint venture between Portal Corps and some inconsequential government contractor in the midwest, a lower-cost and more compact and self-sufficient hazardous environment suit was developed, and is now undergoing field trials in Paragon City, under the project name "Streamlined Hazardous Environment" suit, or "sHEV" for short...

Tragically struck down in the line of duty and given a second chance via modern technology, this once unassuming policewoman returns as "The Brave Battle Sister":

Some ideas are bad, and pointing out that they are bad is fine. Some ideas, in isolation, are actually quite good, but would be impractical to implement, so also get shot-down. Other ideas are presented without a proper understanding of game mechanics or design philosophies, or are just not appropriate for CoH, regardless of how good they are. In short, not all suggestions are created equally, and it is not up to the rest of your audience to interpret or otherwise divine what you actually meant, if you yourself cannot or will not convey your ideas adequately. Present your ideas, explain them clearly and convincingly, and we won't need any blanket rules about what can or cannot be suggested. At the same time, I can empathize with disliking reactions that are given without any further explanation, (ok, you thumbs-downed my suggestion, but why? What didn't you like about it?). Now, OP, get off your soap box and actually present some feasible, constructive, and well thought out ideas, instead of trying to browbeat the rest of us because you got your feeling hurt...

Frankly, this is pretty much how things devolve around here; Some folks want to min-max or otherwise tweak every aspect of their character to eek out every bit of performance possible. And on the other end of the equation, we have those who play for aesthetics and concept. I don't think we'll ever truly reconcile these 2 camps...

Not that I employ this approach myself, but IMHO, what they're doing is looking at recharge and activation times, and thinking, what's the minimum number of attack powers I can take in order to have a continuous attack chain; From an efficiency standpoint, it makes perfect sense, (similar to how some people won't use a heavy-hitting attack to finish off an enemy with only a sliver of health left). This is also why many people are so fervent about wanting to do away with prerequisite powers; They see anything short of calculated perfection as a waste...
