[Beta] Patch Notes for October 2nd, 2022
Glacier Peak replied to Faultline's topic in [Open Beta] Patch Notes
Yeah, I'm leaning that way myself. Just wanted to give some options for players who have experienced this and needed a way to break contact. -
I can't remember the last time I saw another instanced zone on Indomitable - so if no-lag is the goal, head on over to Indom for some great ToTing!! 😁

What in the world makes you think having 64 GBs of RAM will make lag occur less? Let alone your graphics card memory...? Latency or ping, is determined by how long it takes for your system to send and receive data to the server that the game is running on. Frame rate is more tied to your personal computer set up, where the timings on your RAM and the clock speed of your CPU, in addition to the frequency of the GPU you mentioned, would have something to do with how often your screen refreshes a new image after it is done rendering. As this is a seasonal event, there are bound to be more people on each server. However, if you are experiencing a "lag fest," perhaps try playing at different times or on a different shard in the mean time.

That's a wild percentage! Are you being sarcastic or do you have some sort of data or at least reference to show this as factual?
-
Side note - if you want Bug Hunter, you can earn it by regularly testing and providing feedback to the beta server changes for new pages. Then again, it doesn't count towards the players overall total, similar to Flames of Prometheus. Edit: Just saw the last sentence in the first paragraph of your post about not wanting to earn the badge. No worries!

[Beta] Patch Notes for October 2nd, 2022
Glacier Peak replied to Faultline's topic in [Open Beta] Patch Notes
The Hazard doors in to Creys Folly also has drones. And hospitals. And AE buildings. And team mates can help a lot too. Players can also open up the Auction House window by typing /ah in to the chat bar to buy inspirations ad nauseum. Players can email themselves inspirations as well. Players with fly or any players with temporary flight powers can move out of range until their health recovers. -
I'd wager it will happen on a Tuesday when server maintenance occurs.

Armchair Charlie gets another promotion for saving the company! 🤣

New Inspiration Type: "Halloween Candy"
Glacier Peak replied to biostem's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Just like the holiday present inspirations! Let's do it! I want to see orange squares ones with pumpkins on them. Everything else should look like candy or something. -
Yeah 'Masks' is a common sobriquet for a super powered individual.
-
Yeah someone should pull together the costume files of all the highly approved posts and put them in an AE story mission so we can all gaze and gawk!

1. The sourcing is not legal. There has been "talks" (see my signature) regarding making it so, but that's where it's at currently. Not a legal expert, so take that with a grain of salt. It's the internet too, so who knows! 2. The forums are secured and so is your information, which amounts to an email address you link to the forum account (which also becomes your in game account, so don't share that information). The Homecoming volunteer team has volunteer developers, volunteer game masters, and volunteer staff to keep the lights on, all volunteering to volunteer their voluntary time. (Notice a theme) 3. The servers that the Homecoming folks use have security software to prevent these things. When you try to download the game, some times your security software will identify it as a trojan virus. It's not, and I'm not an expert to explain why, but I've played this game for three years and I'm still playing. 4. Since everyone here is a stranger to one another, it's basically trusting strangers. But I'll tell you I haven't been let down at all in the past three years of playing and I've donated multiple times because it's a great team who cares about the community.

I remember installing the game from a CD, but it was the patches that took forever for my old rig. The worst was when the connection would time out and the patch would stop downloading, or even worse still, if someone dialed out when you were using the modem for internet 🤣

Dimensional Warder did this and everybody needed a tracker built in to Null the Gull. Pass.

I thought the tower that got destroyed in Baumtown belonged to the Freedom Phalanx

This is like that company from "The Boys" right?

My main is my namesake, an Ice Blast / Cold Domination Corruptor. I've got three builds, solo, team, and PvP. My solo build is set up for being able to solo anything that is 'soloable' (that's a word, right?). I've taken down every AV, GM, and EB in the game solo with that build, including pre- and post-nerf RV AVs. I've collected over 1,500 badges on it and ran every Hero, Villain, Praetorian, Rogue, and Vigilante story arc in the game. The team build is for MSRs, Hamis, and Incarnates content, which I rarely run anymore. Lots of solid buffs and debuffs coming from Cold Domination 🥶 👌. Last build is for PvP, but since debuffs aren't as good as they used to be, and slows are a joke, it's not much more than an annoyance in competitive settings. So, the reason this character is fun to play is because of the creative costumes and back story I made for him. A cross between Raiden and Sub Zero from Mortal Kombat. The builds I mentioned are also super versatile. When Bitter Freeze Ray, slotted with 4 damage procs is cast after Build Up and Scourge active, it is a tremendous amount of damage. Love that part!

I'm all for it, but I'm pretty sure it's an engine limitation - the character limit can only go so high. Then again, I may be misremembering... alternatively a player could drop a link in their Player Description that takes them to their forum account, which they could use to write about said character in greater detail.

The War Needs To Stop! Enough is Enough.

Thread gonna turn in to who has the most depressing backstory and about how someone ruined the game. Reminds me of this sketch -
