  1. That's affirm. My understanding of Requiem's background in the lore is that his human counterpart was born in the early 20th century and went by the name Ridolfo Uzzano. He was a priest and sought knowledge on the "Path of the Dark." Ended up in a cave, bunch of adventurers were eaten and Requiem emerged. There's not much information though on the Nictus counterpart. My understanding was that the Nictus was a Shadow Cyst and found a host in Ridolfo while in that cave. Link to my funny related topic:
  2. Can we get one of the lore-book-clutching nerdy HC Team members input on this topic? I'm genuinely interested in knowing who is the oldest immortal and perhaps why. Well, really why I don't already know lol Edit: oh wait Requiem's Nictus??? Didn't it time travel to find him in that cave?
  3. Fair enough. If I'm really waiting detailed numbers, I'll keep resists and defense open in to full combat attributes window then monitor my top stats in the mini status window. That's during testing mostly though.
  4. If I'm monitoring recovery rate, I absolutely have to monitor endurance consumption also.
  5. Funny fact, he actually speaks like this in person, it's not just a facade (at least the times I've heard him). He's got a folksy sentence pattern that mixes well with his Texas drawl.
  6. Ha! That's cool and likely accurate, I threw $25 to our HC Overlords to keep the lights on.
  7. If the extent is Earth originating, then that narrows it down a bit. There are spirits of Orenbregan (how the hell is that spelled lol) origin who are mighty old too. Then there's Shivans and Demons from other dimensions. All that stuff gets you in to the semantics territory though - is it biological immortality or outright, can't die type?
  8. Welcome back to the forums! I've missed these 😁
  9. If you're concerned about the topic this much, PM a GM or submit a report.
  10. That's the Praetorian Shadow Hunter and the Primal Penelope Yin.
  11. Yeah when are we going to get the reactions back and the cool forum badges!
  12. Edit: Jokes aside, I'm okay with not being tracked to that level of detail, assuming it's even possible at all. I would imagine they'd need real time telemetry for each character to determine where they are located on the x, y, z grid and whether they've moved or performed a set action to define as currently played by a living person - maybe even some cool biometric security authentication feature they can store on remote servers in some country without an extradition treaty 😄
  13. Oh okay, so the Server Status page should say "Online Accounts" instead? And what about the Homecoming Discord 'Live Graphs" thread? Are these all wrong?
  14. The Server Status tab at the top of the page displays # of Players AND their Hero or Villain alignment.
  15. Its an opportunity to generate community interest on another shard, particularly one with the largest population of players.
  16. This is slick! Embedded link in the image 🔥
  17. 👍 From the HC Wiki: This badge is only awarded to characters of the hero or vigilante alignments. Although credit for this badge may be earned by villains or rogues, the badge will not be awarded to a character until they change alignment. This badge displays different names, depending on a character's current alignment. Dimensional Explorer on heroes and vigilantes Dimensional Plunderer on villains and rogues
  18. It's not "IF" - it IS a volunteer staff and they work on whatever they feel like. You can suggest ideas until your fingers give out, but if there isn't any interest from the developers in implementing your ideas, they are as good as dead on arrival.
  19. You may not need to worry about this question if the proposed changes get on to beta then make it through testing and on to the live shards. Making Siren's Call a level 50 zone I mean. @Terius
  20. What non-PvP zone level cap isn't 50 already? The tutorials? Edit: Nevermind, players can be level 50 in the tutorial zones too.
  21. I realize I've replied a bunch to this thread, so forgive my follow up here - and I respect your opinion AA, but I disagree with it. I consider myself an active PvPer and I do care if the zone has some 'character' to it - the Hotdog stand in Siren's Call, the pillboxes in Recluse's Victory, the giant hero and villain bases in Bloody Bay, and the Rocket in Warburg, they all add to the 'character' of the zone. It's kind of like stages in a 2D fighting game. They've got a unique feel and sound (some have awesome soundtracks) that add to the 'character' and overall ambience. As for the badges/plaques/shivans/nukes/etc being removed, I'm not against it, but I don't think it's right to remove all of the stuff that make up each zone's 'character.' I don't want to stray too far from the topic of the thread either, I realize Terius is well-intentioned and looking to get a consensus on their suggestion. Either way, I'll keep playing the game so do what is best for the community! Oh, lastly, I actually do badge too! 😁
  22. It's the journey, not the destination.
  23. Your alignment needs to be Hero/Vigilante to gain credit towards the Day Job badge.
  24. PvP is a game mechanic. That's an important distinction. When people discuss the PvE or PvP player base - its by segregating the two between PvE and PvP that this misunderstanding develops. I PvP, I PvE. Where do I fit in this dichotomous environment? Can't I enjoy both? I enjoy base building, collecting badges, and playing the market too. Just because someone enjoys PvPing doesn't mean they don't enjoy the rest of the game too. Everybody has something they enjoy about the game that's why they play it. You may be surprised to know that PvP-focused builds don't always do well in PvE gameplay either, especially if the build relies on PvP IOs for set bonuses.
