  1. I obviously have nothing against proc monsters as I just stated I have dozens of them. I do know how they work though. Google “Hcwiki PPM” - it’s a readily understandable one pager.
  2. Even if there were a problem, making all alpha slots do one thing (boost enhancement values) except for a fraction of a portion of two alpha slots just so proc monsters don’t have to make hard choices absolutely reeks of poor design. And I say this as someone with dozens of characters that each have dozens of procs.
  3. And it’s Beginner Procs 101 to avoid recharge enhancement already so what’s the problem with this logically extending to two Alpha slots? Read other threads for devs and player statements expressing that the PPM system is overpowered or broken.
  4. There is no healer class and I stopped reading there 🙂
  5. I think the chance to miss in any scenario is perfectly realistic. If life has genuinely taught you that stationary targets are never missed, I urge you to log out and join the NBA.
  6. But it’s really starting to sound like Crey missions are the optimal lunch break. Let’s not discourage regular nutrition.
  7. I don’t see this as a “problem” in need of a fix. Until the current PPM situation is nerfed, players know to minimize recharge slotting to maximize procs. Players also know that this extends to the Alpha slot. Even if the devs allow PPM to stay in its current controversial state forever, I don’t see why they would change how the Alpha slot fundamentally works just to accommodate some procsters.
  8. This I guess. They annoy me but the game doesn’t need to get easier when we have vet level 100’s in other threads saying they can’t use their powers because everything is already dead.
  9. I found out one night in summer 2019 because I was reminiscing in map chat on ESO about the best game ever and some fellow said “Oh yeah I’m playing that game again”. I did not sleep much that night.
  10. Don’t you mean 53% and the corresponding values from other schedules? To match the single effect IO’s from other purple sets?
  11. People in the human race point out fallacies to dismiss fallacious arguments. I promise you it’s nothing unique to this forum, really 🙂
  12. Two solutions I use when on speed runs that limit meaningful fights: (1) get to the mob earlier or (2) go fight an additional mob yourself. On ITF mission one I just stealth to the back sybil room so I can have some fun while the others speed through the first several sybils.
  13. Ok so you’re focused on not being needed. Considering 99.99% (leaving some exceptions on the table like maybe a hami tanker) of players are not specifically needed and have not been for at least 10 years now, this is something I have simply come to accept. Considering the mobs are dying at a pleasing pace, I’m not sure there’s a lot to complain about. One thing’s for sure though, I certainly wouldn’t consider your character obsolete since defining obsolete as not being absolutely essential to the team’s success would render all characters in the game obsolete, kind of defeating the point of talking about obsolescence in the first place.
  14. That doesn’t tell me why you think such a thing. How are you defining power gamer vs casual?
  15. Ah, well that’s not how I was thinking of obsolescence. The vast majority of teams don’t *need* any one player in particular because they are competent players in an easy game. However, that is not the same as not contributing at all, which is what I thought you were saying was happening. In other words, not being needed and not being able to contribute are not the same thing. The former is not only forgivable but imminently reasonable. The latter you have zero excuse beyond self-gimping at vet level 100.
  16. It’s good not to assign value to fallacious reasoning anywhere and everywhere sorry.
  17. You’ve made a similar cryptic statement before. Can you please define your terms like casual players vs powergamers so we understand this position?
  18. Haha, people giving opinions on a forum. What a joke. 🙄
  19. If you so desperately want to avoid having to consider positioning, 95+% of the remaining power sets are there waiting for you Hops 🙂
  20. Right, I was just saying there is no alternative/opportunity cost to incarnates if you have the materials, whereas there are reasonable alternatives to +recharge (procs, defense, etc)...
  21. Yeah sure but I think those are apples and oranges. It costs nothing but the incarnate materials you will have gained by default to craft incarnates at vet level 100. Whereas IO’s have real opportunity costs. If I’ve ever fallen short of your 87.5% +recharge benchmark, I promise you I did it for teh procs.
  22. Yeah no if people can’t agree to abide by basic established principles of logic, communication is pretty useless and we should probably just delete this forum.
  23. Cmon we were all 12 once
  24. If you are vet level 100 without t4 incarnates, please put my vote down for that counts as a conscious decision to self gimp.
  25. Get power boost and soft cap all defenses to avoid most mezzes and reduce detoggling.
