I really wonder where it ends sometimes. Is there a server yet where you just start with fitness, hasten, super speed, combat jumping, and soft capped defenses, and all the mobs are 50+4 hellions, and all positioning-intensive mechanics have been deleted? And if not why not? Because a game my cat can dominate at is clearly in demand.
Ok well that’s a non-starter. If you add an enhancement category, you either have to change the enhancement schedule to account for the additional effect or you have to drop something to stay on the same schedule. That’s the IO system’s basic design principles.
Oh yeah no don’t get me wrong I just plain haven’t paid attention to new movies in 10 years. I just think the massive bloated comic book franchises with dozens of origin stories are particularly emblematic of some of the worst excesses. Remember when people would debate whether or not a sequel was a good idea? Instead of a 37th chapter? Lol.
Not too serious, I just stopped acknowledging the legitimacy of superhero movies several years ago ever since they started pumping out a dozen avengers movies a month and made ever more clear the whole thing is a dreadfully banal and formulaic cash scam 🙂
Side question that might be covered by walls of texts here... intuition tells me higher HP would make regen better on brutes... but most regens seem to go the scrapper route per my limited anecdotal experience. What are your opinions on what’s best between the two?
Outside of those two powers people like the damage proc so no vote from me on changing it. You can either give it 5 or less Cloud Senses or look at Siphon Insight, Dark Watcher’s Despair, Dampened Spirits, Deflated Ego, Discouraging Words, Enzymes/Lysosomes, or Generic IO’s. Lots of options.
No one is claiming that waiting out a timer is a challenge. But it’s self evident that avoiding the timer completely is a challenge, because most posters in the thread seem unable to do so reliably.
If you’re facing a PP with MoG, you already failed the challenge and are facing the frustrating consequence of doing so.
First of all, the only reason all your toggles would drop is if you are not managing your endurance. Mezzes will only drop your ~0-2 offensive toggles. So experience and enhancements and inspirations should help prevent this issue completely.
Second of all, if you fail to keep toggles up through all that, what in the hell is wrong with running away for a quick break to retoggle, or even rest?
The noticeable duration is the only incentive to engage in challenge of killing/mezzing them before they can pop MoG in the first place. Maybe a little reduction is warranted but 15 seconds doesn’t sound like much. Also think Switch’s idea of giving them an offensive buff would be good. Throw some +ToHit in the mix too so soft cappers can’t ignore them completely 🙂
