Earn influence anywhere -> buy on market. I’ve already purchased several costumes and the accolade with influence from AE farming. You can do literally any content and still get these. Not sure what you’re not understanding.

Don’t know why you keep overlooking the fact that they can be purchased on the market. Literally any content can get you these things.

*IF* you are *ALL* of the following: (1) completely opposed to making alts *AND* (2) completely opposed to having 2+ Incarnate powers for 1 slot *AND* (3) completely opposed to making the influence gained by selling super inspirations. *THEN*, yeah, your use for Empyreans will be limited now. But your playstyle is so rare/niche now that it’s hardly relevant IMHO.

Big time thanks to @America's Angel for being kind enough to share new builds / strategies. Not sure I would’ve figured out the new farming meta with zero hiccups without their posts.

I actually really love that we have a whole new thing to work on. Last night was the first time since the patch went live that I even got around to logging in to any alts besides my main, farmer, and symphony dom. Because I have dozens of alts that need NPC costumes, there is a renewed sense of having lots to do in the game. This is the kind of change that makes you stop asking why you’re still playing this game, because the amount of new stuff to achieve is so massive.

Of the maybe ~130 aethers I’ve used so far, the vast majority were purchased on the market. Definitely no one is being forced into playing any particular content.

If that minor tweak makes this game City of Dark Souls to you, then this whole routine was always hyperbolic nonsense.

My experience with AE in page 4 thus far has been that the XP booster bug fix admittedly makes leveling a slog, but after 50 things clear up a lot. The aggro changes don’t seem to be problematic if you respec’d your build to suit the changes.

As with the other thread, I don’t think this is a necessary change, but I’m still sorry you have to deal with such remarkably unhinged responses.

Every prominent member of this forum, including you and each and everyone one of those that use this argument, has contributed suggestions or feedback that could potentially contribute to game changes and “how others play”. Mostly because this is an MMO and MMO’s tend to get patched with changes that impact how players play. It’s a stupid and childish way to frame an issue when one is too lazy to make an actual argument. Again, you can disagree with this suggestion without resorting to that nonsense. Observe how I have managed to not endorse the OP’s suggestion without throwing around fallacious hypocritical trash.

Obviously you can disagree with the OP’s specific suggestion *without* taking ludicrous positions such as “all nerfs are bad” or the notoriously stupid “you want to control how others play!”. But it doesn’t seem many here got that memo.

I’m pretty positive the only reward in this game is the joy of converting a shiny empyrean merit into a stack of reward merits and now the whole game is devoid of pleasure for all.
