  1. I can’t help but think of all the American celebrities that threatened but failed to move to Canada several times in the last few years. I’ll believe it when I see it.
  2. Man, the implications that this is some sort of farmer’s apocalypse when only a couple of aspects of farming are being touched… it’s too much. I’m admittedly having far too much fun watching the sky-is-falling demographic flailing. And make no mistake: I have *several* dogs in this fight. I farm every day and have over a hundred alts. BUT I read the patch notes and managed to understand that farming is nowhere near dead.
  3. I would be happy to test a /Sonic Defender solo on live before and after changes. Obviously that testing will be better after the changes. I’ll leave the team test to you guys. If it can be proven that completion times are increasing post-changes, you guys will have a good argument for tweaking the set further just for Defender’s.
  4. Well, the devs are saying that. And they have the design vision so they’d be the ones to know. And it seems pretty ludicrous to try arguing the reward/risk ratio isn’t obscene in AE so their position seems reasonable to me.
  5. They’re fantastic for every AT. I will actually play the set now. And I mean that for both my Blaster and my Defender. Can someone please provide real numerical testing data if they believe Defender’s have been given a net nerf here? Thank you @Galaxy Brain
  6. My contingency plan is to respec into Healing Flames. Currently fire farmers are so OP that you don’t need to pick your heal power to handle +4x8+EB’s, so how bad can it be if I decide to grab and even slot my heal.

  8. I wouldn’t mind if they did the changes differently for Defenders for guys like you. But yeah Blaster Sonic/ on live is one of the top 5 worst sets in the game 🙂
  9. If this change “ruins” your character then it must be an even worse build on live where the toggles drop completely and have to be reactivated. I recommend hopping over to the archetype forums for build assistance.
  10. Sonic Attack is, among other things (1) a Blaster set and (2) factually the worst solo DPS blast set on live. It’s completely appropriate to adjust its support capabilities very slightly downward to justify giving it the damage buff it absolutely needs.
  11. Yep, farmers who want to farm will continue to farm. Kinda looking forward to kicking it in Portal Corps again for my farming needs.
  12. Self-Fortitude sounds like a silly idea that does nothing to address the set’s issue and does everything to lean into power creep fantasies. Power Boosted Self-Fortitude would be possibly the easiest soft capping in the entire game. Easy no vote to that. Some of your other ideas look nice though. EDIT: no, Power Boosted Farsight should not be a measuring stick under any circumstances. You don’t “balance” sets by matching the most overpowered tricks in the entire game.
  13. These changes look awesome on paper to me... really eager to calculate the DPS with all the increases in DPA.
  14. People keep telling me to expect changes to procs and fixes to broken powers like Burn/IG/Bonfire, but every single time my closed beta intel sources have been wrong.
  15. I for one am quite amused to hear that all endgame +4x8 players apparently build for soft capped S/L defense. /sarcasm.

  18. I never bother with Parry or Divine Avalanche. Attack chain DPS killers, both of em.
  19. Bumping this post for the benefit of people that are proposing dozens of buff ideas in this subforum and claiming each one is too insignificant to worry about. Thanks.

Typically requires 4-5 attacks vs 3 and can’t be sustained with super long recharge stuff like Scrapper snipes, but yeah, Ageless/LotG’s/Hasten, recharge bonuses in your AoE’s etc. I don’t do it as often for Scrappers/Stalkers/Blasters but thinking about converting my DB/Rad to a full proc build.
  21. Example is too complicated. If we leave SR out of it there are tons of scenarios in which skipping Boxing/Kick will afford you another space for an LotG mule. DPS increased. Easy. Anyway, people that don’t understand the mathematical truth that things eventually spiral out of control if they only ever undergo positive change are… a bit dim tbqh.

  23. Longer recharge and probably a bit overpowered but yeah sure. I’d love if they increased Laser Beam Eyes’ damage and recharge to match Gloom’s though it still wouldn’t be as good because of activation times (and as we know the devs don’t bother balancing activation times). I wouldn’t want the damage on Fire Ball increased because I don’t want the recharge to go up further.
