  1. Do you have a build for that last one you can share? I've been leveling one, but working out a 50 build is tough because I want to take too much stuff.
  2. Kinetic melee is great. A while back I made The Worst ScrapperTM as KM/Regen. Then it turned out that Gratuitous Windup was a ton of fun to play, and I leveled him all the way up to 50.
  3. I've got a Rad/SS tanker that I do some S/L farming with. Not super fast since he's still working up the incarnate abilities, but he can AOE minions while rage punching the EBs fast enough to not feel like a slog.
  4. Can do! Here you go.
  5. Thank you so much for posting this! I just made a plant/sav dom myself since so many people in my thread about a secondary for dark kept saying how awesome it is, and was looking for build advice. I'm not an expert by any means, but I'll post what I came up with for mine. I'm only at level 28, so it's more of a wish list with the enhancements. The only real difference between what my guy currently has and you do is that I put 2 pieces of Ascendancy into three powers rather than 3 into two. I didn't think the 40 hit points was worth losing mez enhancement for an extra power. Also, Kinetic combat is a nice melee set that's fairly cheap and has nice set bonuses at only four slots. It's what I'm currently slotting in maiming and vicious slash (they're the alternate slotting in Mids).
  6. The Midnight Fister would be glad to know he touched you like that. With his story, I mean.
  7. Here's a few of mine. I tend to push the puns and plays on words into the bio (where I assume hardly anyone will see them) Gratuitous Windup-Kinetic Melee/Regen Scrapper. If you've seen KM, you'll get it. My greatest wish for him is to have his T9 attack land on something that isn't already dead. Charging Cattle-Electric/Shield Scrapper Midnight Fister-Street Justice/Energy Aura
  8. I'd want something like the zone events in Guild Wars 2. They have a kind of decision tree to them where there's an initial event in the zone, but how the players handled it determined how the event progressed. For example bandits would attack a local farm and the players not dealing with it lead to the zone's minor town being attacked and then the major one (they never take over or destroy the town of course, so players can still quest. There are just more bandit mobs running around.) On the other hand, defeating the bandits pushes them back to a camp and then their main hideout.
  9. It's for the good of the player community though. When I think of overpowered characters, my mind goes straight to my Kinetic Melee/Regen scrapper.
  10. I did look at /savage and the only reason I took it off the table is my arbitrary "I want to try new sets" rule since I already have a brute with savage. I know they're not exactly the same, but I didn't find the dom version compellingly different. I completely agree that savage is great fun and really feels like you're dishing it out.
  11. What about whirling hands? I'm not sure if it's awesome because it has a decently long recharge to trigger procs and gets instant recast with energy focus, or if it's a trap to make me burn up a third of my END bar on two mediocre AOE attacks. Does the instant recharge change time being zero make the proc chance zero? Any epic pool suggestions? And thanks for the reply!
  12. I want to make another alt that's a dom. I already have a Fire/Earth dom, but wanted to branch off ofr this one. I have a semi-rigid rule to minimize power re-use, so dark is what I'm using for the primary. Like the title says though, I'm not sure about the secondary. I'm leaning towards /dark or /energy, but feel free to chime in with another option if you think it's a must have. I'm not looking for build since A) I'm not entirely sure about the power and haven't even made one to submit for inspection and B) leveling builds aren't 50 builds. Again, feel free to toss one in though. I'm sure a future dom will appreciate finding it in the archives even if it's not what I choose in the end. Preamble aside, how far off base am I in how the secondaries work? Dark: seems much more ranged than the /earth set is. Seems like the character would be hovering at the edge of the battle dropping DoTs, debuffs, and CC while waiting for a target to swoop in and throw a punch at. Energy: a bit more of a melee fighter, but I can't tell if energy focus coming off regular attacks is worth chasing. Only one energy attack (and boxing with kick if I spend the slots for it) has stun and after the stun I'd need energy focus to proc. I'm not sure most mobs will last that long when doing missions with a group, and the EB and AV that have long fights are tough to stun in the first place.
  13. A few. I started a thread about hideless stalkers last week and got some good replies amidst the people telling me that hide is a good and useful skill for stalkers. I've been fooling around with one in Mids (as best I can without it updated for page 5), but haven't made it because I have enough alts in progress as it is. Funnily, I was thinking DB for the primary like your is since I don't have a melee character with it and I think the dual chainsaws would be a funny option for stalker without hide.

    KM/SR

Could I see your build? I've been fooling around with a KM/Regen and I'm curious to see what you did with it. Regen is awfully skinny on resists and defense. Feel free to DM me the data chunk if you don't want to necro the thread anymore than I have by posting this.
  15. Martial Arts + Super Reflexes feels pretty Batman to me. Although him being a brute, scrapper, or stalker I'll leave as a discussion topic for the group. Sure he has gadgets, but those I'd call one of his pool choices since they generally just help him get around or do light crowd control. Combat Teleport is 100% Nightstalker's BAMF!
  16. Same. That's why I compared it to petless MMs. It's not using a defining aspect of the class. I'm pretty sure it boils down to being able to make ice/ice more like a scrapper rather than a dramatic improvement like making regen good because you don't need to take hide anymore.
  17. I was fiddling around making yet another alt and noticed that thanks to the new page letting us pick the first or second skill for the secondary, stalkers can completely skip taking hide. It seems like an absolutely terrible idea at first--and also at the second and third thought. We live in a world with petless mastermind builds, so what sort of gimmicky stalkers can be made with no hide?
  18. Dragging items to the auction house causes that window popup to select how many, but it always assumes I only want to do a single item. Why? It would be far more convenient if it assumed I wanted to transfer the maximum amount since that's what I want 99.99% of the time. And to head off the people about to comment that it remembers the last value so no change needed, I'm not just talking about moving a gross of enhancement converters. I'm talking about throwing salvage up there where I either need to fiddle with the slider over and over, or make multiple passes to get all the stacks of 7, then all the stacks of 6, then of 5, etc. etc. I want to drag my stack, have the game say "you're moving all of them, boss?", and I say "Sure do!" as I click OK.
  19. I have a FF/NRG defender that's loaded up with aoe and pbaoe knockdown and he's tons of fun. Not very good at +4/8 since the mobs all resist the KD, but on weekly targets he can lockdown every fight by not letting the bad guys stand up. To answer OP's question, I'm in the middle. I come up with an idea that uses power sets and the check the forums to see if I picked a terrible combo where both sets are END hogs. I'm definitely more theme than theory crafting.
  20. I have one I made a few months ago and he's really fun.
  21. Plenty of good suggestions, but there's nothing wrong with getting to 50 and starting a new character if you want. If you like leveling more than the incarnate stuff, play the game however you like.
  22. I have it on my staff/dark brute to save me having to walk to the next group of mobs to whale on. The only thing I don't love about it is that I need to redraw the weapon after the port. I'm also a lazy, lazy man, so my bind is just a doubleclick to hop to the cursor location. It makes it go off at vendors or in the SG base, but free shrugs since it doesn't bother anything. /bind LeftDoubleClick "powexecname Combat Teleport"
  23. I've always thought it would be a neat option for melee attacks to have an option between a weapon or what I think of as "elemental boxing gloves". For example, fire manip's sword attacks would have either current hit with the sword or a punch with flaming fists. And I guess get renamed to Fire Swipe or something.
  24. You know regrowth's cone always goes off in the direction I'm facing and doesn't turn me towards the target, right? Neither does my ranged AOE heal that needs to be dropped near them. I'm not targeting them off the screen, How would I even do that with player names not normally visible? I need to know where they are to give them that heal. That's not what I do and wouldn't work anyway with the pet names displayed. The heal bars over heads are purely to tell PCs from NPCs. Look closely at center of the picture and you'll see that pet names cover up the health bars over the character. I am targeting off the league screen, because I have to. That's why it's expanded like that. If I could turn off the pet names and see all the heal bars, I wouldn't need to target ANYTHING. My heals in the Nature pool are a facing cone and a location AOE. The only reason to target someone is to see where they are on my screen to see where the heal needs to go. Instead the game forces so much noise on my screen that it's as functionally worthless as if everything outside of windows and trays was black and displayed nothing. That I need to press 'f' to give the game control of my character because it won't show the information I want is a kludge at best.
  25. As a suggestion on how to get that badge: Combine inspirations to create a new type 50 times.
