There are several characters that I would like this too. Whether an energy being, a rock being, a robot, an undead, or whatever, the breath on cold maps and other indications of the character breathing works against the character concept. So an option to disable that set of animations would be nice.

Taskforce/ouro arcs limiting interaction with contacts
Rudra replied to Ukase's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Unless the devs learned something about the code that changes exemplaring/malefactoring, they are going to run into why the Live devs set up TFs/SFs to work that way. Without a character to exemplar/malefactor to, the current TF/SF system was the only way to level down a character to the content. -
You can also get another pet from your secondary. Though the only one I can think of is the Dark Servant from Dark Miasma.

Like others have stated, the number of vet levels a character has does not equate to a real attachment to a character or a deeper relationship with the game or a deeper relationship with the community or make the community more stable. I have lots of alts, and lots more I want to make but am not yet because of lack of resources and time. I have a strong attachment to all my characters except for the 2 base builder ones, and that is because the 2 base builders aren't characters I made for playing, but to have available to move to random SGs and help those that ask make their bases. I invest a lot of time and effort in my characters. From figuring out how they are supposed to look, to figuring out how they actually look in game given available resources, to figuring out their back story, to figuring out what powers they will take from their sets and why. So from the character I play most often to the character I play least often, even seemingly not at all, I have a real attachment to my characters. And no number of Veteran Levels is ever going to show that. I have a feeling that holds true for a lot of players as well. So I get what you want, I'm just saying that what you are saying doesn't make any sense. At least not to me.

This belongs on the Bug Reports forum on the 4th pinned thread labeled Report Costume Issues Here. Edit: Also, if you have any screenshots to attach to the post, it will help the devs.

I am extremely willing to bet that the 15 second duration would go the way of the dodo if Vulnerability became a toggle. Especially as you are describing it. Edit: And I still don't get what you mean by the button mashing with Sentinels. I don't have to mash buttons any more on my Sentinel than I do on any other AT. Their secondary is an armor set. So they have Vulnerability to click on top of their primaries? As compared to a Defender or Corruptor? Or a Blaster? Or a Dominator? Sentinels are the easy mode of ranged combat AT.
-
I must be playing a different game then because my debuff toggles stop affecting targets immediately when I turn off the toggle. And no, Sentinels should not get an AoE debuff for their Vulnerability power. They are already ranged tanks. They don't also need to be ranged tank support characters. Their ST debuff is sufficient and as stated, can already be used against more than one target at a time. So I oppose giving them an AoE debuff effect toggle. (Edit: And if Vulnerabiliuty was made into a toggle instead of a click, it would not retain its current 15 second duration.)

Uhm, no. Incarnate powers already make characters into overpowered gods in this game, so we don't need Veteran Levels enhancing incarnate powers any more than they already do. (They greatly help facilitate incarnate power creation for the character.) And debuffs are meant to keep us on our toes and prioritizing targets. Let's not make the game any easier than it already is please.

Maybe they're scared you're going to serve them with a side of greens to the next person foolish enough to stalk you?
-
That would require all their dialogue to be rewritten for each experience level selection added.
-
The issue is any attack that does not already have an animation for the other hand needs a new animation made to do this. So it doesn't matter that NCSoft has given HC a limited license. What matters is that last I knew, the HC team has a single animator and who knows what projects already to animate.

Who says I like it? I don't take the power because of it. (Edit: Well, that and the loss of mobility.) Like I said, but you seem to not understand or accept, more options is fine. Ask for the Crystal DE monsters as an option for the power. Ask for the Magma Lord from the Igneous as an option. (Others previously have. It would be nice if they were made options for that power so characters using the crystal or lava options can maintain it.) Ask for an animated statue option. All those are good options that I would like to see added to Granite for players to choose from. And none of those attempt to take away the power set's identity. Instead, they play into the already available options for the other powers in the set or expand upon how the set is portrayed. Edit again: And using a different power set that works better for what you are trying to do with your character is also an option. And it is an option we already have.
-
Not at all. Ask for a more human appearance if you want. Ask for a gendered appearance if you want. Ask for a less intrusive option that doesn't replace your character model with a DE monster. All good. Options are a good thing. It's the stripping a power set of its identity I oppose. Like I said 6 posts up, if you have a character with stone skin textures and you want that to be your stone armor, then use a different set like Invulnerability. There are options to make what you want without having to strip a power set of its identity. There are options you can request without stripping a power set of its identity. Play your characters however you want. Just make use of what is already available as well and don't ask to strip a power set of its identity.

Embalmed Vahzilok rarely exploding x2-3 weeks
Rudra replied to Fiery Redeemer 2's topic in Bug Reports
Do you have an aura that is disrupting them? That's something I do to Vahzilok Embalmed and CoT mages. I let my aura keep them from going boom. -
I understand what you are asking for. I just disagree rather vehemently and gave my reasons why.
-
Then you ask for an option for a Granite appearance that better works for you. Like I said, minimal FX like some other armors already have is fine. It's the no FX option I oppose. You can ask for a less intrusive version of Granite. No problem. However, it is the Stone Armor set. So it should have something that shows the stone/crystal/lava elements without having to assume the player will just choose to use the stone skin texture for their character. If players want a robust armor set that lacks the stones/crystals/lava, shadows, or other elements of the various armors? There is the Invulnerability set right there waiting to be used. And if you use a stone skin texture for your character? It works very well for portraying a stone character. Edit: The use of other power sets that can help you portray your character the way you want is an available option to players. Don't want the rocks/crystals/lava of Stone Armor? There is the option of using a more suitable armor set paired with your stone skin texture character.
-
Because power sets are built on themes. If you want smaller rocks/crystals/lava clumps? Sure. If you want more human-looking rock/crystal/lava appearances? Sure. If you want to strip out a set's identity/theme? No. Stone Armor is called that because its defenses are based on the character either being stone or using stone as protection. If you don't want a stone/crystal/lava appearance? Then don't use Stone Armor. Minimal FX for Stone Armor is one thing. No FX for Stone Armor is something else entirely.

I think you are misunderstanding the point of my comment. As I said, I am not against the OP. (As long as it is an opt in option.) I'm not even against people using globals as a means of screening who they play with. If you enjoy playing with people, play with them. If you don't, then don't. What I have a problem with is the ignoring people you don't know for doing something you are interested in doing because it is someone you don't know. Give others a chance. (And by you, I don't mean you specifically. It is the generic you.)
-
I'm fine with a gendered appearance option for Granite Armor. That falls under more rock/crystal/lava appearance options. Not every character that armors up... erm... stones up?... needs to look like a DE monster.
-
Meh. Difference in play style. The first thing I do on a new character, after editing my chat tabs, so the 2nd thing, is I move my various powers and macros, including any START powers, between my 3 or 4 trays. So my tray 1 starts out empty except for 2 powers, whatever my primary and secondary are. Everything else is split on trays 2-4 depending on what they are or are for.
-
And here is the problem I have with this post. If you are interested in the advertised TF/SF, then you should be willing to join said TF/SF unless you know the person advertising is someone you did not previously enjoy being with. Otherwise, you are excluding a lot of potentially great leaders that you would enjoy playing with just because that person is not someone you already know you enjoy playing with. So while I am not against the OP as long as it is an option that must be turned on, not turned off from default on, I very much disagree with the reasoning you provided.

I'm sitting her wondering how a player can have all 10 slots in tray 1 filled before reaching level 2....

I've gotten in the habit of not closing with spawns that hold a hostage even if the hostage cons white or blue. I always pull the guards to me. (Mostly because of that one tip mission where you have to rescue three heroes who all have 1 HP and die if the Freakshow anywhere in the area use an AoE anywhere near them.) While not ideal, it is something you can do to avoid getting her killed. And yes, this even works for melee characters. Just make sure you have a decently ranged attack or taunt to pull with.

I don't know anything about Fortnite, so kinda hard to agree with the post. There is a comment I keep wanting to make about just make it so our characters can launch all missions including TFs through the phone so they never have to leave their initial spawn point, which is meant sarcastically so please don't crucify me, but beyond explaining the comment, the nature of the comment would likely get me warnings or even blocked from the forums for a while.
