  1. I recall the Hasten crash being avoidable, but it being something they fixed on live.
  2. He's the leader of a countryless militia. All of the titles and badges of his organization are as grounded in reality as the Salvation Army's. (The 5th Column should totally have people on the corner ringing bells by cauldrons during the winter event) He recognizes no power higher than his own. He does not report to anyone, he has no accountability to anyone. Honestly, the only badges he will have are the ones he decides to give himself.
  3. He strikes me as the type of guy who buys medals off of e-bay and awards them to himself in solemn ceremonies. He definitely has a spread sheet somewhere to remind himself of what each medal is for.
  4. The naughty and nice bits, fine, that's a Christmas thing. The trees, fine. Have your shrubbery. The elves apparently too? I don't know, Christianity is weird. But the missions are "Defeat Winter" which is a winter solstice thing and "Save the New Year" which is weird because none of the four new years is in Tevet. The gifts that you run around opening: Aren't those part of Lord Winter's Scheme, tying back to "defeat winter" then?
  5. The Winter event doesn't celebrate the entirety of winter, it celebrates the arrival of winter.
  6. Okay, the problem is that Calvin is a Crusader contact too and hitting level 14, he immediately starts with the Crusader story line and never introduces you to Aaron Walker. So if you're doing Warden stuff, you have to steadfastly ignore Calvin and use the "Find Contact" button to get to Aaron Walker. Oh, sorry, I misunderstood the problem. Yeah, He's gone now. Same trouble as if you were trying to do the Warden line after doing the Responsibility arc in Imperial City.
  7. I do put a stealth into combat jumping or sprint on my Bane because sometimes I like to take the time to position myself inside of a cluster before attacking. I found that, without the celerity, I could usually do build-up and shatter or whatever, but sometimes they'd get in hit before I did. That said, this is probably a topic better suited for the Soldiers of Arachnos forum.
  8. One thing I've noticed about Super Strength and the Fighting Pool is that, Haymaker's endurance cost, damage, and recharge time are all fairly comparable to Cross Punch.
  9. I'm curious to know information the game keeps track of. The game has to keep track of "You attacked this target" to some extent, because that's aggro. Can an enemy know "You attacked me with a ranged attack, so I am hitting you with auto-hit damage debuff?"
  10. I think it's a error, The_Warpact meant to say "I just make new characters if it warrants it"
  11. Given how much the person's head shape changes, I think it's possible that they fit into that without being cut in half. With the changes they go through, I don't think it's safe to assume normal human physiology anymore.
  12. For your own builds it makes total sense to make decisions on how you like to play. You don't like the floating green numbers. That's fine, but if you're making recommendations and saying "you give up damage output for durability" but you choose to slot a Numina's Convalescence over Panacea, then you're giving bad advice, because Panacea provides more health per minute and more endurance per minute. It may not be to your taste, but Panacea is the better choice.
  13. I solo'd Chernobog and Veles as Archvillains on my Radiation Melee Tank. I'd be surprised if a brute couldn't do it.
  14. What I dislike most about this build is that it obviously uses Force Feedback proc to keep perma-hasten, but sticks it in Kick, which is otherwise entirely unslotted? At least putting it in Jawbreaker allows you to slot Force Feedback and an accuracy? I mean, you lose 8% regeneration, but there are so many other places that could have gotten that extra slot to get more than 8% regeneration. It also means kicking and putting away the War Mace all the time. Sure, there's the No Redraw option, but there are other places for that proc. You underestimate the value of both Power Transfer and Panacea. (Panacea's 3PPM of 7.5% Max Endurance (22.5% Recovery equivalent) according to Bopper so it out performs Numina's Convalescence on both health recovery and endurance recovery)
  15. If I had to guess: there are certain powers you get for free if you've earned a badge, but you have to pay for them if you don't have a badge, and so "no refunds" just made it easier to deal with, fewer variables to track.
  16. I also allows you to revoke the powers you can pay for if you decide "I never use this and it's clogging up my power tray" but you don't get your infamy back.
  17. Just to confirm, I took a level locked 20 from Praetoria and through both Jim and Penny's arcs to get both Agent of Praeoria and Aftershock.
  18. If I didn't have patience, do you think I'd be posting in the forums? Yes, modifications take time to implement, more than one run of Death From Below. And depending on how many people play the mission, it could take a very long time for the amount of time saved by the players to be more than the programming time required for the developers to make the change. There are of course decisions the developers must make about the best investment of programming time. I am merely making a suggestion for a quality of life change. I think I'm in the right place for that. Yes, I realize that Praetoria is not terribly popular, and I can't honestly say that I know that changing one mission would make Praetoria more popular. It's just one frustrating mission at level 3. But I have a forum for voice my frustrations.
  19. Well, no, if the developers decided "Okay, we'll make this static map a flight of stairs 57 stories deep into the sewers." then yes, it wouldn't help because there would be so many stairs. It'd be even worse if the developers then decided "Oh, well, if this stairway goes that deep into the sewers, it would intersect the Underground Trial map, so we better throw in lichen infected war walker and an aspect of Hamidon. But if the developers picked a map without stairs then it would solve the problem. Yes, I understand that it's technically a skippable mission, but you get out of the tutorial at level 2 and you don't get "radio" missions until level 4. This is Praetor White's second mission, and sometimes, because of the randomness of it, it is intolerably long. And because you have to escort an NPC from the end of it back to the beginning, I am absolutely certain I have had runs of it take longer to do than Death From Below. If the developers gave it a smaller map, then it would solve that problem. No, giving this a static map does not solve the problem with NPC AI, but there are maps that are friendlier to the NPC AI.
  20. This mission is so wildly variable. I've had it where it was two rooms and I've had it where it was four rooms, two bridges, two under passes, stairs up, stairs down, and a boat room. It can get tedious. And it's your first experience escorting NPCs gold side, and the NPCs are really awful with gold side stairs. It is just not a good foot forward. Take the randomness out of it.
  21. The to hit debuffing might not have benefits, but Siphon Soul is very nice. With that in mind, Radiation would be a good combo with Super Reflexes too. You can say you're moving fast enough to ionize the air.
  22. Honestly, I feel like the lethal portion of parry can safely be ignored. For typed defenses, aside from Parry, Golden Avalanche, Guarded Strike, and Defensive Swing, anything that provides Lethal Defense also provides smashing defense. So if you're trying to increase your smashing defense, you'll end up increasing your smashing/lethal defense. So if you're building your defenses, you'll either end up getting lethal over softcap or smashing under. For Positional Defenses, I think every attack that's typed lethal is also ranged, melee, or AOE. I think there are a couple of psionic typed attacks without position, and a few toxic attacks as well, but I can't think of any lethal without positioning.
  23. You don't get special badge for soloing it, you don't get a special badge for soloing all content. You can still solo it, you just don't get the "master of" badge for soloing it with incarnate abilities. I don't see what's changed really aside from one badge that didn't really frame your achievements properly anyway.
  24. Beyond that, it would kind of take going through every character model in the game and drawing the grapples in. You can't use the same animation for your Eight Foot tall Tiger to grapple a targeting drone and the Kronos Titan. Or devouring earth swarms, eminators, and Mitocondria. Every game I can think of that uses grapple mechanics has rather limited character creation options. (Yes, wrestling games have costume options, but from what I can tell, the height ranges are between 5 and 7 feet).
  25. Honestly, I think it'd be better as an opt in system. You flirt with him and he starts flirting back. Edit: As long as I'm suggesting an opt-in system, Dean doesn't care if you're a ghost, a robot, a lizard, an elemental incarnation of wind or fire, or a child, he hits on everything with the female body type. I think the "opt-in" system should also allow him to hit on men and huge too.
