I dont disagree with Honorit but I'd lean to Plant. Force Bomb doesn't do a ton of -Res (11.5ish?) but it casts pretty quickly and can reliably be up every fight. In my mind, this is a really nice synergy with proc'd Creepers and and Confusion.

I've been on a bit of an alt craze lately, and severely neglecting many ideas that I roll and get to 30. This should help. 1. Brute - Dual Blades - Radiation 2. Stalker - Kinetic Melee - Stone Armor 3. Sentinel - Fire Blast - Ninjitsu Speaking of neglecting alts, I have a DB/Rad Scrap so a little too close to the first to want to roll... Two and Three seem like great choices, but it's helped by the fact that I recently 50's a Dark/Nin Sent (gosh Sents are fun now), so we'll go with...

TinPex Mortimer Kal SF Dr. Aeon SF

Not really a hack, but little known: Superior Protection Imbuement (Super Team Break Frees) last 3 minutes, which is often as long as most TF AVs fights. Having a few of these in the Inbox before diving into anything from a Posi 1 Shadow Clone fight (with the 5 Doms on your team) to the big melees at the end of MLTF or LRSF can be super handy, not just for the squishies but also for tanks since these provide 50% Taunt Resist per application. If you have too many Incarnate Threads on one your farmer favorite main, then it's a a good investment to makes sure you have a half-dozen of these in your Inbox.

Stone/Fire tankers are really something else. Bring recovery serum while leveling but that's about it. Nothing can hurt you but on the other hand everything dies too quickly to get a chance.

Well after the nerf. I stated the reason, it was due to slotting. That's a hungry combo, I didn't even bother with a travel power.

Sovera really hit the nail on the head but I'll just add that, for me leveling my Bio/Rad the 40s were just the absolute pits. By 45 I was convinced the character was slated for the scrap pile once I "compeleted" her by reaching 50+Alpha T3. But once fully slotted at 50 her killspeed performance leapt and slotting incarnates only increased the trend. She's now my favorite tanker to drive. So hang in there. It's possible that this is just a natural slump for the set, and once you get your IOs fully slotted you'll see better performance.

I'm honestly crushed, ruined even, that Blasters are being left out of this proliferation question. Will someone please think of the Blasters? It's been months since they've had a buff.

Both are gonna be super thirsty. Invest in Recovery Serum! I agree with Snarky but personally I find it easier to build a concept for a TW/Fire brute. Some sort of heavy metal war god or something. Bonus points if you go full "Heavy Metal" and the character is like an elf goddess in leather or something.

This is probably gonna get a mixed reaction and I wouldn't claim to be the most knowledgeable about the isms of comic books. But the only time I see heroes and villains breaking bread together is when they're breaking beds together, of you catch my meaning. Otherwise it's purely a situational marriage of convenience. Outside of that... Hey I mean there's only so many vacation spots in the world. Maybe the bump into each other at a beachside resort in Thailand and put their beef aside for a few days. I guess this would be really dependent on the types of characters they are but I'm guessing this isn't a Darkseid vs. Superman relationship or you wouldn't be asking.

This 100% A desire to replicate this concept led me to my First RP character. If I hadn't had as much fun as I did with this one I probably would've walked away from the game in the first few months.

Rebirth did a big drop of Halloween sets and they are really cool concepts. There is a fear set included, but the new set types are really interesting with big implications on powers you might not use otherwise (eg: procing -Res debuffs from slow powers)

Accurate. Worth noting that Ouro being a co-op zone is an HC exclusive thing. It wasn't designed to be, so that's probably part of why it's janky.

My favorite controller to date is Dark/Kin. I don't think it's an inherently meta pairing, though there are slight synergies. But I've never seen anyone else run this and while mine is still in the mid-30's two years later, I think this sort of speaks to the viability of the pairing for a casual player. I've enjoyed slowly leveling this character in low and mid-level Redside groups when I see those pop up. I could go on and on pointing out little synergies I've found, but I'll just leave an open invitation to DM me if you'd like a more thorough breakdown without clogging the thread with a swan song to this combo.

I'll always vouch for Pain Dom since you can slot Panacea's proc IO in there and it will have a chance to give health and end to everyone the aura effects, since the procs aren't listed as "self only." As far as I know it's thr only way to get Panacea's proc to not only work as it normally would in health while also benefitting teammates. Not a deal breaker but if super handy and available really early on, as you can slot the proc as soon as you get the power. Helps take the sting out of early TFs with End Draining mobs.

My Prae Resistance characters have been aching for good Prae Lores for ages. Resistance? Carnival of Light? Eltentowners? Meanwhile the Prae Bads are stacked: Imperial Defense Force Seers War Works Clockwork I just don't get the imbalance. Heck at this point I'd even take Destroyers or Carnival of War.

Beasts and Necromancy seem like the obvious choices. All beasts are in melee all the time so they'll benefit from your heals, not to mention they buff themselves a bit. Most of the Necro pets stay in or close too melee and have a reputation for toughness. Both choices also have some degree of self healing after buffs are applied.

I think Technoni is a great name and is very fitting for a super hero setting. Even more so if it's deliberately a little campy. Not everything needs to be a single Noun or Verb. Moderation preserves flavor.

I gotta ask: how are you playing COH with this preference? I'm not far behind you myself, but I'm just curious what your thoughts are.

This game really reacts to the antistropic filter settings. Dropping it to zero for MSRs should help a lot. Turning off camera shake also helps quite a bit.
