  2. I have noticed this trend everywhere. I just ran 9 baby heroes through the lvl 20 Midnighter arc from...the lady that starts with an M inside the club in Steel. Front of missions orange, end of mission equal level. On my squishier toon (human PB anyone?) I had to tone it down because too much death (quants in every spawn anyone?). I dont care for the Twinshot arc after about 3 characters because its too assumptive about my thoughts and abilities (if you read the text) and its too difficult for low level squishies. And I will never run the Midnighter arc again after running 9 toons through it one after the other lol.
  3. Early days of Hollows...no travel power until 14...of course Frost Fire is on the far diagonal corner from Atlas gate. No hospital in Hollows so you have the run through Atlas, zone into Hollows, then hope someone has TP Friend and stepped out of the mish to get you across the 1000 miles of deep purple. Am so glad they've added hospitals to hazard zones. I ran a few DFB on a new toon last week and there was even a handy hospital for that!

IF our alts could serve as NPCs in our base itd be cool everytime you log in be in the base.....exit portal would take you where you were or if someone isnt in a supergroup it would log them in where they logged out like it does now. Even now we cannot log in in the base so that may be tricky. Definitely +1 for customizable npcs and maybe even alts as npcs

  8. On CoH if you use a power (most but not all) with no enemy targeted you will brandish your weapon. Unless you have futzed with the bindfile, ESC will cancel or 'put away' your weapon.
  9. Thanks for the input! I am still wading through the set bonuses and stuff but 'find on page's is a good tip. The numbers and math is still giving me grief but I think I may be starting to get a handle on it! Thanks again!

I am still trying to figure out how and where to see all the important numbers...my main goal was to cover all types of damage so I didn't even notice diminishing returns (why is psi so hard to guard against?). I will load this into mids (fingers crossed) and have a look at the numbers...still trying to wrap my head around those. I appreciate your time and input so much!

  12. Back on live I never got into IOs because, if I wanted to craft I would go make a quilt or something. Here on HC lots of folks have helped me out and I am doing the regular normal IOs on most of my toons. Yay me! In order to afford all this fancy stuff I made a farmer who is sitting at 47 now, hopefully get her to 50 tonight after work. Here is my big ask. I have Mids Reborn but I have no idea where to start with sets and procs and such to really uber her up so she can afk farm (if I need a ciggy or a snack). Does anyone have a fire/spine tank build handy for level 50 that I can parse and learn and figure out my options and the best route to go to get her where I want her to be? I need to learn all the set and proc info what with bonuses and such so I need to know the where, how many, and why of slotting them. I have scoured both the forums and paragonwiki for info but everything I have found is about as clear as mud to me. Also, if there is any other vital information I dont know that I dont know please enlighten me! I never did AE, farming, PLing or IOs on live so I am basically a noob at all this. Thankies so much for your time and consideration! PS if ya post a mids build pls include instructions for importing it to my mids because I manage to fail at that every time I try. Edit: now I have hit 50 and have no clue about incarnates either! I'm so lost.
  13. Did you try disabling auto window scaling under options? That's a newish feature that has had some impact on peoples screens although I never heard of it changing your desktop. Hope you didnt change your default resolution instead of just in game lol
  14. 1. I never took hasten on live on any of my toons. Up until 2 days ago I never took hasten on any of my HC toons. I made a baby fire farmer and she needed that heal to come up faster so she got hasten and I added it to my PB yesterday because human only PB have small attack chains. If there is a change to hasten or, what I believe to be suggested here, a global recharge buff added inherently, I would mostly benefit. 2. I think the number of characters with hasten =/= the number of players with hasten. I know a lot of folks who never take it but these are also the types to not rush to 50 or rush to have multiple 50s. If there are 10 players and 6 do not take hasten bit only have 1 lvl 50 each and the other 4 players always take hasten and have 2 (or more) lvl 50 each then you get the discrepancy between character numbers and player numbers. 3. Lately, I have seen and heard several complaints about just taking one power from a pool and burning an entire pool choice for it and it should be inherent so we dont have to burn a pool choice. What if we just opened up pool choices to 5 (or 6 or no limit)? It might allow power creep (but so would many suggestions I have read) but it would also allow Power Pool Man to really gimp himself to his hearts desire (for personal challenge). 4. I believe strategy comes into play with the limit of pools available and if you really want to burn a pool by choosing only one power from it, that's a strategic decision you make for your character. Making everything inherent just takes away the actual thinking and strategizing about if you really need that power or would be better (concept or strength) by going another route. With more options, people can limit themselves to the original 4 or even less or use every pool there is. While the suggested change (of this thread and others) would either not effect me or would benefit me, by and large, I disagree with removing choices and am actually for (pro) keeping or adding to the choices we have to build our characters in a unique (or not) way. Considering the "rule" has existed less than 24 hours (as of this posting), some of those may have been reported by players who thought there was a rule, but as there was no rule concurrent with those occurances, no generics were handed out and nobody but the ticket readers will ever know about any reports from any time prior to 24 hours ago. Run-on sentences are my superpower!
  16. Many people speculate this new policy has to do with the negotiations....and that is certainly a possibility. To play devils advocate for a moment, it could also be that with the recent publicity, one of the many previously mentioned big guns has actually issued a c&d. I have never been a comic book fan and I am woefully uneducated on the myriad characters and names involved in each of the camps. Back on live, in the midst of the lawsuit, I had a nifty little hero and one day I logged her in to find I needed a new name. I had no idea I had infringed anything. Ignorance is no excuse of the law so she got a new name and carried on saving the world. I hope anyone with infringements, intentional or not, can see their way to comply with name or costume changes and still enjoy their character. I agree with the policy but I also see that it may dishearten a lot of 'homage' players and I just want people to keep enjoying the game even if they have to adjust a couple things.
  17. May be over-powered but as scouts/lookouts for the team a power or something that placed locations of mobs on the map would be neat....maybe just in adjacent rooms/areas. Would be hard to make it show on teammates maps but they could just chat to the team 'mob right around the corner mind your aggro' type alerts.
  18. My human form only PB is now 24.....what's with all the quants! She uses rest a lot....unless she is in the cargo ship and flying at the ceiling where ambushes cant reach her...make rest and energy flight compatible lol

Yes...I meant most (upwards of 75%) of the people I talk to in local, broadcast or help (and rarely LFG) think/say that I am doing it wrong by grinding out 1-24 on 10 of my toons the old fashioned way. Good news is I made a fire/spine tank to learn to farm in AE so my other 'old school's toons can afford IOs. Everyone keep playing however you wanna play and have fun!
  20. When I open Tequila...none of the options are present until it connects and finishes verifying. If there is a beta download I can then double click an option to start it, but if it hasnt verified then the options just arent there. Oh well, was hoping to play with costumes while saving some of my hotspot gigs but its all good as long as I have my beloved CoH!
