I concur. On one hand I like the idea, on the other hand I foresee the Empathy (defender) / Empathy (controller) toon whining about 'how do I defeat enemies'. Can you imagine the implications for a Fire (tank) / Fire (brute) on AE farming? LOL. And that's not even touching on inherents and powerset respects. This seems like it could go very bad very fast.

I am fairly ignorant of day job bonuses but I seem to recall that someone said they are awarded one per day so if you aren't seeing that then its bugged. Have you tried different stores or zones? Maybe its just one that is bugged and another will work. As an aside...if I have multiple toons with this bonus (I tend to log out at stores on any toon below 22) is it possible to email the discount tickets from other toons to the crafting toon? I haven't used the bonus yet so I don't know how it manifests, as a temp power or as salvage like merits or what. Just thinking my crafting toom could benefit from @global parking.

They could work like VEAT where your first costume is the Rikti model and other slots are standard so maybe you go undercover or try to fit in or just wear a disguise.

Also the flipside....when you bid 1 inf on an orange enh so you will know what to bid on when after you make cash....and you buy it....for 1 inf.

I got my sons okay to rebuild the entire base....but he likes building too so I will make one common area we compromise on (with porters and npcs) the we will each have our own half we can design however we want. Sunday is my rebuild day and I am looking forward to it!

Nice....I like how you can see what you have...I would even use that as a 'hero tracker' which I just spent an hour writing by hand in a spiral notebook lol. I dont like to duplicate powersets too much...moar diversity! I definitely like less clickiness. Trying to find the sets...remember which one I need....too much work. Keep up the good work! edit: could you add a place for short notes? I like to keep track of which face each toon has so when they get a new costume they still look like themselves. If not...no biggie.

Have you tried going into settings from the log-in screen? That may help you fix whichever options are causing the freeze-out.

I dont know how the generic stick is going to hit costumes...but if you have one costume dedicated to being a regular hero/villain and keep your specific costumes that show who you are mimicking to your own private edification you might not have an issue on that front. If they generic every costume in violation you might indeed have an issue. Regarding the names, why not just preemptively change them to something more obscure so the references are less obvious and therefore less likely to be reported? My understanding is that you won't lose anything, not your account nor character, just that they will have to be changed. No reason to delete an account or go all 'farewell' over it. Back on live I had a toon genericed because I was ignorant of the IP I accidentally violated, I got a free name change (which are free on HC anyway) and a free tailor token (which HC has said is what they will give). It had 0 effect on my account in general. Regarding your SG you (as group leader) can petition in-game for a name change for the group if you feel it may not be in compliance. The sky is not falling! 😀

I am not a new player but I left live in 2010 so DFB and incarnates are both entirely new to me. When I made my 12th alt (after running 10 through lvl 20 midnighter arc ugh and farming #11 to 50 to be my farmer) I decided to figure out what DFB was. I told the team I never did it before and I keep my target through the star and by the 3rd or 4th run I had it down. I haven't done an incarnate trial yet but I intend to treat it the same way. Targetting through the star (or if someone else is effectively leading the team) is an excellent way to learn basic mechanics of both the game and of specific content. If you are a specific AT you can team with another of your AT and target through them to learn how that AT functions and works in a team setting. I would suggest learning from several people with differing playstyles so you can then form your own playstyle. Basically, go forth and learn how to make your toon shine! If you prefer solo play then that's fine too, help channel is just a slash away 😄

I concur. I get a kick out of defeating myself and Magic Librarian and Kallisti Gold and H2rO/Glamoure (and all the others)! The only issue I have had is when my self-enemy was in my camera view in the 'i am playing 3rd person' position and was almost dead I was healing for all I was worth until I realized her name was purple. I laughed at myself for so long over that! And as I said before...some names I only recognize from the forums and I really enjoy running spines through them....yet have no idea if they are heroes or villains or even what server they are from. Its fun this way.

I just read this entire thread and know I am late to the party but WOW I would so play this toon! Malonkey1...I hope you are doing well and still have this on a burner even if its a back one.

I have never done an iTrial so I dont know how that looks. Whenever I encounter a cut scene I do see caption boxes (like chat bubbles) pop up but they are always at least half off the screen and unreadable. Honestly I don't remember how it was a decade ago, seems the captioning was overlayed and you could read along but I may be misremembering.

But....you can add cut scene dialog to your chat tab...right click and select edit tab...on the far side highlight cut scene dialog and press the add button at the top. Press close and tada you have subtitles!

There is about a 5 to 10 second window where the doors are open and nothing is clickable. Also make sure you are not in the exit train lobby as those never close and are never clickable. Go in the big center area that is, inexplicably, blocked by a large wall. Are you experiencing longer/permanent unclickableness after entering the correct lobby?

I have never been the type of gal who has to outdo the person next to me. My biggest competition is myself. Sure...people have maybe soloed hami with an empathy defender but that's not my goal. My goal is to get the empathy defender across perez with no travel power and no CoT or clock encounters. There does seem to be something about the game mechanics here that make me want to do better than I did yesterday. Maybe its the endless versatility of gameplay. No matter how minmax you are or how many toons/combos youve played you can always go farther. I think its part of the reason us oldies are here playing a 15 yr old dead game lol.

If your friends dont join you just make new friends on the game! Although right now I am trying to spec out my 50 tank with a second build and incarnate stuff (all very expensive) I enjoy making new toons and running through some low levels. Just another bit of advice you didnt ask for ..... If you get a toon up to even the mid 20s and its just a slog and you don't like it...dont be afraid to ditch that toon and keep searching for an AT and power combo you do enjoy. For me, if you arent having fun its not a game. The time you spent on a thrown away character is still time you learned something (game mechanics or personal preferences, etc.). Have fun out there and maybe we will see you in the city!
