  1. When you start a new blue side character, and do Matthew Habashy's first missions, you get a sampling of phasing. That is to say, the Hellions you were fighting a moment earlier are now being arrested by the PPD. Neat! You changed part of the city. But what if we could do that in a bigger scale? Clear the bad guys from a part of the city. Imagine clearing out the Hellions, Skulls and clockwork from Atlas Park forever (*some conditions apply). Essentially, your character would have a flag turned on, if you completed a story arc that removes a villain faction from a part of the city. If the flag is turned on, you cannot see or target the villains, nor can the villains see or target you. *If you are on a task force, or doing a flashback, the flag gets temporarily disabled. The flag would not be applicable to hazard or trial zones. If you clear the Skulls from King's Row and Atlas Park, you can still hunt them in Perez Park or the Hollows. And for course, the flag has no affect in instanced zones. Here is what I am thinking: Faction Zones affected Story Arc Badge Hellions Atlas Park Reason to Fight Savior of Atlas park Clockwork Atlas Park King's Row Skyway City Synapse Task Force Skulls Atlas Park King's Row The Lords of Death Skull Buster Lost Skyway City Lost and Found Lost Savior Rikti Founder's Falls Rikti Ship Raid What does the community think? Any other factions that could be "permanently" defeated?
  2. I agree with that assessment. When I solo on blue side, I usually switch to redside at about level 30. Redside has better high level story arcs, IMO. The biggest criticism I have with red side missions is Longbow (including Wyvern) has too much presence, making missions seem repetitive. It's unfortunate, because Red Side has interesting factions that never really get a chance to shine. Gold Brickers, Luddites, Slag monsters are present in some story arcs, but are never featured villains. (like the Sky Raiders, Trolls, Skulls, and Freakshow are on blue side).
  3. I think the hazard zone that is the biggest waste is Boomtown. It's too low level to serve anyone (11-19). You mostly only go there for the occasional door mission. What I think would be cool is if: Your character is below level 50, the map is unchanged. At level 50, same map, but there are new mobs and a storyline in which the heroes can "save" Baumton. The villain faction is like an evil version of Ouroboros. If any players are successful, a pre-war version of Baumton is now where Boomtown used to be. No mobs, just a peaceful town. Players who successfully save Baumton can return to Boomtown via ECHO:Boomtown transporters or through Ouroboros. Also, if on a team or taskforce ,the player is sent back to Boomtown. In this way, it feels like your character has actually saved or tangibly changed Paragon City.
  4. Is this recent?
  5. It's been a while, but I'm happy to be able to donate this time around.
  6. There is the early bid Hami, everday at 7pm: Check the community calendar for others.
  7. @CrudeVileTerror I think it's actually a callback to the Simpsons:
  8. [NPC] Sentry Unit H-50: WHY. WHY WAS I PROGRAMMED TO FEEL PAIN?
  9. A new issue means new typos! (Happens to the best of us): The Freakish Lab of Dr. Vahzilok
  10. There are several different emotes. The problem is the emotes are clunky to bind or macro. You can't make a macro or bind to turn on fly and pose at the same time, you have to make them separately. Looking for a way to improve this feature.
  11. Instead of immediately switching to the custom pose, maybe put a 5 to 10 second delay before switching pose? Is that possible?
  12. Thanks for looking into that. That explains why the fly pose options weren't put in before sundown.
  13. There is one status effect missing in the conversation: placate.
  14. When choosing power customization for Fly ( or Mystic Flight, Afterburner, or Energy Flight), could we have the option to change the default fly pose? Something like the following: What do the community members think?
  15. willpower is the new regen. IMO, Willpower has the advantage with Rise to the Challenge. If fast healing had a scaling +regen, it would help the set a lot.
  16. Replacing the 3d models is much harder that replacing textures or sounds. Putting aside things like file format and model scale, here is a short list of problems I could foresee: each new model would need new textures ( you wouldn't be able to just import the old skins). Certain animations (like emotes or attacks) might break the new models The anchors of the new models may cause problems for add-ons (costume pieces, weapons, capes) Hit boxes might not accurately reflect the new model Sounds and textures are some of the last touches, so they are easier to change. The 3d models are a baseline, and replacing them means potentially replacing a lot of things associated with them. It's not impossible, just a lot harder.
  17. You are right, its a trick question. Frostfire is only an elite-boss. I think the real answer is Chernobog for solo? Dr Mienst is the first named AV for teams?
  18. With the alignment system, you do get to play with 3 of the four alignments, but usually one alignment gets blocked. Hero (Rogue, Vigilante), no villains. Villain (Rogue, Vigilante) no heroes. Rogue (Hero, Villain), no vigilantes. Vigilante (Hero, Villain), no rogues.
  19. How about just removing the alignment restrictions for team-ups? Red and Gold can play with Blue. This leaves solo players with the alignment restrictions, but team-ups are open to everyone?
  20. Noticed this while going to a mission:
  21. I don't think it's bugged. The Penelope Yin TF's last mission says all four computers need to be activated at the same time. They don't actually. One character can activate all four computers.
  22. You can do Twinshot's storyline; start the missions in Kings Row; participate in Death From Below; or if all else fails, you can do some radio missions. If you don't want to leave the Hollows, you can get missions from Meg Mason.
  23. I have a level 50 elec/staff tanker. You can get guarded spin to stack with recharge reduction. I don't have haste, but it could help as well to keep two stacks of guarded spin active.
  24. From the Code of Conduct: Multiboxing Policy We allow a basic level of multiboxing on the Homecoming servers outside of peak times. These rules apply on a shard-by-shard basis (by ‘shard’ we mean Torchbearer, Excelsior, etc). If there are less than 1500 people logged in to a shard you may play with up to three accounts at once. If there are more than 1500 people logged into a shard you may only play with a single account. If you are caught multiboxing when there are between 1500 and 1600 players logged in to a shard, you will be warned and expected to log off immediately. If you ignore requests to do so your accounts will receive a 24h ban. If you are caught multiboxing repeatedly with more than 1600 players logged in to a shard, all of your accounts will receive immediate permanent bans. It is your responsibility to monitor server status and current player count if you wish to multibox. You can do this both on our website and in the #live-shards channel on our Discord. An exception to this rule is Hamidon raid zones (The Hive, The Abyss) which have a limited population cap. No multiboxing is allowed in these zones. Breaking this rule may result in all of your characters being removed from the zone and short-term suspensions being issued for repeat offenders Please note that this policy does not apply to groups of players simply playing from the same home/network. It only applies to individuals playing multiple accounts on their own.
  25. First, let me just make this clear: I am not against farming or farmers. Personally, I don't see much point it in, but many do. So let farmers farm, IMO. Well, I meant it changed from the original developers' concept of it. Cryptic even added clauses in the user agreements to avoid people from exploiting AE. True enough. True enough.
