  1. If that was true her name would be Quadshot
  2. I still cannot comprehend having enough slots to actually use human toggles outside of mules
  3. My rain/snarepit corrs get replayed the most fire/ta ice/storm water/dark etc
  4. I wonder if Eden is farmable. with incarnates and such it seems like the perfect sit door mission.
  5. Would you still like it if you had to repeat it many many many times?
  6. I am finding that bossless council PI radio missions are the next best thing. s/l/e builds are cheaper to make. for now at least. we adapted before, we will adapt again. every time the old devs messed with something players just moved on to the next best thing. I am just going to assume that they made AE and just stopped messing with players exp and let them be. If folks are not interested in new content, they never will be. I am sorry that the new vahzilok missions and such were coded, written and tested but not played but the most prime example I can think of is City of Heroes vs City of Villains. For all the shit it gets, a Synapes TF will fill up faster than any villain SF simply because its on heroside, familiar and easy. People would rather do radio missions over actually talking to a radio. And in a world of primarily speed only task forces (exp/drops issue) with a non-functioning LFG tool (people who dont want to lead) on top of a terrible Earned Merit:Merit Cost ratio at the vendor this change is just a kick in the pants to casual players. With the word casual now in use, I think the Vet system was designed for casual players to get incarnates and adding another layer of tediousness on top of that is just a step in the wrong direction
  7. Are you for or against the fear/scatter from rains and patches? i cant tell
  8. With the AE nerf thing on the table for debate I want to suggest adding stuff to task forces. Repeatable or Advancing kill counters that reward small amounts of merits that has an 18 hour lockout per character Example: a team of 6 has to kill 30 enemies in Yin's TF. 30 enemies defeated grants 1 merit, then it resets to 60 kills for 2 and so on. These numbers can go up or down depending on team size or personal preference because this is a suggestion Now because of the personal lockouts for the side missions they cannot be farmable and deters speed only all the time every time content Escortless saving/whatever villains call it You know how you last street swept over 15 years ago and an NPC awarded you with a little INF after thanking you? We both know there are captured maintenance workers in Synapes that can reward 1 merit ' actually now that i typed this much out i know someone out there will do the finalized math and start forming "speedish task forces" to minmax rewards with this new system and lost all interest in finishing it
  9. I didnt even think about this. 95% of the TFs right now are speed TFs. even if not advertised as speed people go into ungabunga mode and speed anyways. And I learned that you can burn through thousands of merits pretty quickly with a recent regen alt. guess its going to be even more speed only tfs if what we theoretically think might be possibly true
  10. To allow people more damage. I recently stopped slotting my Controllers for control(mostly) and moved to damage. While I have no experience with it yet I will eventually work up to slotting Frostbite and Ice Slick up. Maybe adding a ticking damage portion to Arctic Air to roll 3 DoTs would spice up the set more
  11. Please do not forget that 95% of the fights in this game do not last 20 seconds Please do not forget that Archvillains sub50 generally do not post that much of a threat Please do not forget that at 50+, hard targets get incarnated via pets and various other stuff And most of all, please do not forget that -resist can be resisted if said target is higher than you. I think. I think everyone here is horrifically over estimating the value of (defender number) a Dual Origin Enhancements (12-15%) in the form of -resists Yeah on live there was that one supergroup of all Sonic Attackers on Freedom who obliterated Incarnate content, but a Radi Emission group did that as well. Those said, the only thing I dont really like is Howl's damage reduction. But I am really looking forward to playing with the new Siren's Song because my sonic/sonic blaster currently was getting more milage out of Wall of Force from the mutation pool --- Actually after posting I think there was also a sonic attack/radiation emission group who also did the same thing and introduced the world to the -resist cap
  12. Misc power thingy: Radiation Infection (All, except Crey): Cast time reduced from 3.1s to 1.5s. Can Dark Miasma>Darkest Night also get this?
  13. I am already building a s/l capped fire brute to farm ITF because of this news. I mean, back on live they nerfed dreck maps but then people moved to werewolves and then they moved to family farming then demon farming in that destroyed portal corp map cemented before servers went down we already know theres a handful of people who will change and adapt to this and an army of people in general chat waiting for someone to explain to everyone else the next best thing if we can vote on this, id vote no to removing vet level exp from ae
  14. Even then all it would take is a mag3 or so taunt of someone calling your mother a name to get you to stay near said someone flametherower thing angma
  15. because that logic does not apply anywhere else. why would a level 54 minion even consider fighting an incarnate? why would anyone with a gun and no superpowers fight someones whos bodytype 3 with max sliders on everything? it was a dumb change then and over a decade later its still dumb
  16. Turn buckshot into a .67 mag knockback and add a fire dot, rename to Dragonsbreath M30 into another .67 mag kb and add a lethal damage dot Remove Fear from Ignite
  17. If we only got one drop a week, and not being able to trade it, and it deleted your account if it sat in your inventory for more than 5 minutes, and if level 5 was the uphill in show both ways and back requiring two fire tanks, two emps and 4 fire blasters per group all groups all the time grinding all weekend long to get to level 6, I can see this being a problem. But its not A level 5 can sell it on the market to pay for SOs or other enhancements A level 5 can save it for later
  18. Kill thru ITFs. nice little passtime to burn 10-15 bars of patrol on a 50 Synapes, the game makes more sense at lower levels because few if any IO sets Yin, short and packed full of killing stuff I hate speed TFs, so pointless
  19. theres too many to really list but you will get the idea Can all levels get all leveled recipe drops? Example: Touch of Death set is a 20-40 set, can level 5s to 50 see these drop? a level 19 can get a level 20 recipe drop, and a 50 can see a level 40 recipe drop other stuff like decimation and... others
  20. I dont see how the two click. But I guess 'Quality of Life' and 'Power Creep' are the same thing depending on who you are
  21. issue 9 was inventions, right? already happened like 15 years ago so, proper to this conversation is power crept and we are still playing
  22. did posi with it the other day, think i retained a solid 90% rech even exemped down to 15. perma enough hasten and not bad
  23. I dunno, defeating 10-15 minions at 50 to buy a yellow doesnt seem that bad
  24. oh sure when a regen thread its met with smiling faces and memes galore but when a knockback thread happens its time to break out the serious faces
