  1. The Fighting pool is as an original pool. I would rather the names of these powers remain the same. Power-customization is not an issue. Many powers have customizations. Power customizations don't change the powers names or how they function.
  2. lol. No need to curse. I haven't read all your posts. I don't read the whole forums nor do I "follow" you. If I read them and I had an issue, I'm sure I would have posted something or picked thumbs-down.
  3. This looks like a "general discussion" topic to me. You aren't clearly defining a solution. It's more just stating what would considered to be problems. This needs to get fleshed out more before it can really become a suggestion. From the feedback side, I can agree with you on some tenants of this. I really need to know where are you are coming from to make better comments. Is this about the game itself - aka leveling? -or- Is this about the end-game - aka post leveling? The answer to this makes a huge difference. I play the game. I do not play the end-game. I have not played VEATs or a Warshade on Homecoming. From my experience, the only ATs that are "on the outs" on task forces or trails are stalkers. Stalkers are really designed for hit-and-run. Strike with assassin strike, maybe another couple of attacks, and then run-and get hide on before repeating. In group content, this chain can often get broken before the assassin strike because of an AoE hitting a nearby ally. Other than that, I don't have problems playing any other AT in task forces or trials. The exception to me is really the Summer Blockbuster Event. Both parts are really built to need to have significant DPS. If you don't have enough DPS, you aren't going to be able to defeat the End-bosses in the Casino Heist and you aren't going to be able to spawn the God Champion in the Gladiator Arena. I have been on teams where the end-bosses in the Casino Heist can't defeat the end-bosses but the end-bosses can't defeat members of the team either. (Yeah, I know that this can happen in content in general, but it appears that were talking about task forces and trails in this thread. The 733t content is specifically build to be for the elite end-gamers. That is to say, it is built for end-gamer elite and not for the rest of us. I haven't played this one for so long that I can't even remember it, so I'll bow out on this one. I guess at this point, I should give you a better idea of where I'm coming from AT wise. I haven't updated my spreadsheet yet, but here is a list by archetype and I'll also add how often I play them. Archetype Blaster - 16 - weekly Brute - 2 -hardly ever Controller -18 - weekly Corruptor - 9 - weekly - currently because of Storm Blast Defender - 14 - weekly - currently because of Storm Blast Dominator - 13 - every other week Mastermind - 20 - every other week Scrapper - 16 - every other week Sentinel -12 - every other week Stalker - 9 - rarely Tank - 16 - rarely - but current because I found out that I could make a martial arts/super reflexes tank Peacebringer - 1 - hardly ever ---------- Total 146 I'm guessing that I recruit for more task forces or trials than I join out of LFG. I'm not sure what you mean by 4* TF. This is why there are suggestions already out there to make the Task force and trail content gauged at a normal team being able to accomplish them between 30-60 minutes. The Positron Task force being chopped in half is a good example of this. Any 4 hour long task force needs to be cut into smaller parts. The Community in general is older at this point and having the content broken into 30-60 minute parts would be more accessible for many players. What is you suggestion about enemies? How would that work? Mechanics-wise from my angle on this, would be content that would promote stealthing. By this I mean to promote the stealthing in a way that it doesn't lead to a death trap for the team, nor for a "speed run". This seems to be sticky wicket on one level, but doable with some of the game mechanics already in the game. There are bosses that are invincible while something hasn't been destroyed - generator(s) for example. Could also be communication device(s) that could be disabled to stop ambushes from being sent when an Boss/EB/VA gets low on health or a hostage is freed. Could be computer(s) that need to be hacked in order to open a door or maybe even to send a message to spawn a Boss/EB/VA into the mission. These are things that teams could accomplish by defeating everyone on the way to the triggers, but that a stealth character could accomplish on their own as well. Nothing that would complete a mission without the rest of the team helping but also let stealth play a part if there is a stealth character on the team. Is this the kind of mechanic you are looking for? Guess what. Your comment here is "argumentative" You don't get to decide whose input is welcome or whose is not. Everyone's input is welcome to any thread in these forums unless a GM or DEV decides otherwise. If you don't want to communicate with someone, put them on ignore, but they are still welcome to post in the forms regardless if you have them on ignore or not.
  4. I'm surprised that a GM hasn't comment yet.
  5. You are correct, I didn't consider your sarcasm to be humor ... or comedy for that matter. My reference to "a laughing matter" was in relation to the "rules of conduct". That is to say, I don't consider the "rules of conduct to be a "laughing matter". People trying to get yucks out of it through humor, comedy, sarcasm or misdirection seems inappropriate to me, but that is my viewpoint. We can only express things from our own viewpoint. Taking multiple viewpoints into account is generally a way of getting a better understanding of something as long as the observations provided are in honesty and respect. I have found in gaming environments - if you want to talk about religion or politics, do it in your own group if it is acceptable to that group, but keep it out of communication with the the community as a whole. However, in this game, even in personal chats it is reportable as worded in the code of conduct. All of what I've bothered to type here isn't directed solely to you, but to those that are taking time to read the whole thread. 99% of your posts that I have read, I have enjoyed reading.
  6. It isn't my job to enforce the rules. But I know my part and I stated it - Menu>Support>Harassment and Conduct. This is the same path that other people should take in order to resolve the situation. You, on the other hand, are just trying to promote discord. Well, Hail Eris, it is 5/23! Hold my beer while I put you on ignore.
  7. We are talking about a breach of the rules of conduct. Maybe I take them too seriously, but I don't think they are a laughing matter.
  8. "Content Guidelines The following is considered prohibited content: Anything illegal in the real world: This includes anything related to gambling, child pornography, terrorism, illegal controlled substances, and any real world criminal activity (yes, we know City of Villains exists) Hate speech: Hate speech is defined as anything threatening or abusive towards a specific group based on their race, religious beliefs, political affiliation, disability, sexual orientation or gender identity Controversial and adult content, including: Sexual, provocative, pornographic, or adult content Violent content Controversial religious content Controversial political content Anything involving controversial real-world individuals or organisations Anything involving sensitive events, both current and historical" - https://forums.homecomingservers.com/code-of-conduct/
  9. With my limited gaming exposure over decades, the most populous servers have the most rule-breaking behavior in chats that can reach the entire server or even a zone. The kind of people that do this are looking for attention and the more attention that they can get makes them feel better about themselves - even if it is negative attention. The biggest servers give them the biggest audience. "It comes with the territory". But it breaks the code of conduct so it needs to be stopped.
  10. Report it (Menu>Support>Harassment and Conduct) and help everyone else in the process.
  11. Making the report helps everyone. Turning a blind eye to something that is bad for the community only encourages it.
  12. report it. Menu>Support>Harassment and Conduct It's against the Rules of Conduct.
  13. It wouldn't just be one click. It would take a right mouse in areas of the screen where one wouldn't normally be making right mouse clicks ... and then a left mouse click in a specific location of the screen in a window. It seems highly unlikely that would occur. However in my case, it happened to two new characters and not on existing ones. I did resave my settings recently but that was because I needed to update the positions of trays, pet window, salvage window, AH window, email window, and email replay window, and tried yet again to save the keybind key for keymapping of "cancel power" (which never saves) - however, I didn't tweak any of the Windows settings. I simply made sure all the trays and windows were where I wanted them to be (trays were already in position simply resized and moved the position of some windows), change the keybind for "cancel power" yet again (which turns off the "auto fire" power if you have one selected), and saved. I didn't change any of the Windows options, so I have no idea how it would have happened in my case.
  14. Actually this song is mislabeled. This is "No more" off "Say No More" By Bad finger. This one is actually "Crocadillo" off of the same album.
  15. ((Time * Patience)/luck)Market savvy + miskeying by other players placing bids
  16. So weird. So yeah, that did it. I found the option in Menu>Options>Windows>Status Window Display>Hide Auto Powers. I know for sure that I didn't go in there and change and save it, so I have no idea why that changed unless it was something the DEVs added - like showing the (incredibly annoying) floating coin over the heads of contacts. Oddly enough, just below "Hide Auto Powers" is "Blink Near Expiration". That was turned off. I know for sure I didn't turn that off either. I had to fiddle with both of them to get them to save. They kept reverting back. But now I'm wondering if there was a change that made Day Job powers considered to be auto-powers and they weren't considered to be auto powers before.
  17. @lemming (sorry, should have quoted you. really tired and falling over ... posting on the way out) So far standing near a base portal. Got the badge the icon never showed up that I was standing within range. Moved to the hospital today and I don't see it there either. Also the x2 XP isn't showing up nor the powers that you get at the end of the DFB. I can see both in my powers windows list, but they aren't showing up under the target window with my primary and secondary power (those show up). I don't even think there is an option setting that I could have tweaked by accident. I'm assuming if I can't see it on either of those two, that I'm not going to see it on any of the other ones. I know where to stand to get pretty much all day job badges. And getting the one or for standing near a base portal, I was obviously in range in order to get the Dayjob Badge. Honestly, I've never had an issue getting the Mortician Dayjob nor seeing the Dayjob icons before. It's just on these two new characters.
  18. I don't have a problem with it if it is character conception, but I'm not concerned with the end-game.
  19. Oh, I thought you were talking about powers that "missed" their animation. My peacebringer is constantly getting no animation when using Incandescent Strike. They just stand there and the sound and damages happens.
  20. I have a couple of new characters made on 5/17. When they are near the area for a Day Job, the Day Job icon isn't showing up. I really even had to fiddle with one of the two characters I made to get the message that they had found their first Day Job. I went back and checked the most recent character I made before then - back on 4/26 - and I can see the Day Job Icon when they are near a Day job area. I even moved away from a Day Job area and back to make sure that the icon would return. I'm unsure what would have changed between 5/17 and 4/26 that may have caused this issue.
