  1. I am leaning towards making a Dark/Rad Armor Sentinel. Dark for the defense from -to-hit, and Rad Armor for all of the resistance goodness.
  2. Twinshot's mission arcs would be far more enjoyable if I could punch Flambeaux in the face after every mission.
  3. 1. Are the "Who Will Die?" parts mission arcs or TFs? Meaning, do I have to be in the appropriate level range (10 to 20 for the first), or can I start it any time and be exemped down? 2. How soloable are these?
  4. Considering condominiums near my work go for $1 million on average, starting at $400,000 seems about right to me for 2005.
  5. Yep, and Blasters can fix the CC hole by taking Clarion Core Destiny, or Rune of Protection and Melee Core Hybrid.
  6. My level 50 Dual Pistols/Temporal Manipulation Blaster can solo the rooftops in the ITF just fine, can solo Borea missions at +3x8 just fine thanks to the Clarion Core Destiny, and can nuke every seventeen seconds. Blaster all the way.
  7. Some of the posters and billboards throughout Paragon City and The Rogue Isles have unrealistic pricing. Like this: That Snoopers Troopers poster shows background checks for $99. That's obviously 2005 pricing. If you adjust for inflation, that should be $131. /s
  8. Windows ME (the OS from Hell), was the outgrowth/evolution of Windows 95/98. Windows 2000 was basically the same codebase as Windows XP, but with a polished version of the Windows 95/98/98SE UI. It was actually just as game compatible as Windows XP, but most games didn't officially support it as it was technically a business OS. However, games ran on it just fine. I played City of Heroes on Windows 2000 Professional from 2005 through 2008 even though it didn't officially support it.
  9. Part of the reason for the crickets may be because he set up his own wiki on Fandom, which is a huge no-no in my book. Fandom is a scourge on the Internet and is best avoided at all costs. Heck, ParagonWiki was once hosted on Fandom about ten years ago but left to make its own website because TonyV got tired of all of the ads.
  10. Hybrid toggles (among a couple of other power toggles IIRC), refreshes when zoning. So, if you have it up one minute, then zone, you get another two minutes. Zone again another minute, you have another two minutes, etc. I've had it up for over five minutes on several occasions. Not sure if it's a bug per se, but that's the way it's always worked.
  11. The tier 4 Melee Core Hybrid toggle lasts 120 seconds for me.
  12. Yep, with the no redraw option the weapons go *poof* after you finish attacking.
  13. I love my level 50+3 Dual Pistols/Temporal Manipulation Blaster for many of the same reasons @Rathulfr laid out. It doesn't have a snipe, but it's more versatile. Need damage? Load fire rounds. Need debuffs? Load toxic rounds. The mez protection hole has been filled by a Tier 4 Clarion Core Destiny. A Tier 4 Melee Core Hybrid gives the Blaster great regen and nearly capped resistances. (Plus seeing the really high mez protection from the overlapping Clarion Core Destiny is amusing. You ain't stunning me, bro.)
  14. Right click the enhancement, hover over it like you're going to re-select it, then hit the + key five times.
  15. If Windows 2000 Professional was updated with a 64 bit version that continued to get support for security patches and device drivers for today's hardware, I'd use that in a hot minute. It was the best OS that Microsoft produced, along with the best Windows interface. I used it from 2000 until Windows Vista Service Pack 1 in 2008, and still miss the interface to this day.
  16. ... Am I reading correctly that you reroll your character if you happen to get one detective that's inside a police district building?
  17. Oh sure, you say that now. Wait until you're flying a mile high above Independence Port and click "Secondary Mutation," only to become a Rikti monkey and plummet into the ocean. :D
  18. Both servers are located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The differences are that Excelsior has more people, and I and my SG coalition play on Excelsior. Therefore, that automatically makes Excelsior cooler. 😉
  19. Spines/Fire? No. Any farmer at all? Yes.
  20. Not installing the game in a non-system folder is the key. The two main issues people have with Homecoming on Windows 10 are from either stringent anti-viruses, or from installing Tequila into a systems folder like Documents, Downloads, or C:\Program Files. Install it to something like C:\Homecoming or D:\CoH.
  21. That's strange. If you get "You can't complete this objective yet," that means that you haven't done the arc yet, or at least the game doesn't think you have. Try completing the arc, and running it one more time. If it still occurs, file a /petition.
  22. I am not sure if this is a bug report, or not, so here it goes. I was always under the assumption that Rikti zone invasions are dependent on the specific side of the LGTF leader. If a hero or vigilante leads the LGTF, when it concludes a random blue side zone is invaded by Rikti. If a villain or rogue leads the LGTF, when it concludes a random red side zone is invaded by Rikti. Today, I lead a LGTF on a vigilante toon, specifically to spawn a Rikti zone invasion as I wanted the event badges on that toon. Except, when it was over, the Rikti invaded Nerva Archipelago. I didn't even realize it until a few minutes later because I don't have villain side zone event messages set on a tab on that toon. So, is the Rikti zone invasion event completely random and not dependent on the TF leader's side?
  23. They seem to know to do DFB without anything in the game pointing them that way. Besides, like I said, the Galaxy City tutorial is bad, especially if there's only one or two or even no other people in it with you. And, IIRC, it does lock away Kalinda, who IMO is a better red side starting contact.
  24. I mostly finished a Beam Rifle/Sonic Resonance Corruptor build, and I'm curious if anyone has any suggestions. It's an entirely team oriented character, thus Tactics. 25. Heck no. IMO, the Galaxy City tutorial is bad. Plus, nothing is gated. The "best" early missions have no gate. You can do Outbreak, get to Atlas, and walk right up to Matthew Habashy and he'll talk with you and give you missions. I've done it four times now. Same for red side. Do Jailbreak, get to Mercy, and walk right up to Operative Kuzmin and he'll talk with you and give you missions, (although I still prefer Kalinda).
