  1. Martial Arts is mostly single target, and the extra defense from Storm Kick on resistance based armor sets is nice.
  2. Yeah, defense based armor sets are better on Scrappers and Stalkers, while resistance based armor sets are better on Brutes and Tankers.
  3. If by “good times” you mean that people would actually quit teams if a Kheldian joined, then yes.
  4. The 2014 patch notes for Resurgence here indicates that they had an invasion of spectral pirates for Talk Like a Pirate Day. Any chance of holding the same or similar event during the Talk Like a Pirate Day weekend, (it being on a Saturday this year)?
  5. Does this mean that we’re getting a shark week? Sharknado in Talos Island? 😃
  6. The fastest way to get Incarnate threads is, believe it or not, Rikti mothership raids. All of those Rikti that just keep spawning for you to take down, dropping Incarnate threads and Vanguard merits.
  7. As others have said, it takes a lot more IO enhancement sets for Corruptors to reach softcap defense than Defenders, leaving a lot less room for damage procs. The end result is that your average Defender now has superior buff values, superior debuff values, superior survivability, and superior damage compared to a Corruptor.
  8. I farm to make enough INF to kit out a couple of alts (typically about a billion INF each), and to also be sure that I have enough INF on hand to give out a minimum of 200 million INF per week. I run two or three instanced Rikti mothership raids per week on Excelsior. A while ago, I started giving out a prize of a minimum of 100 million INF for landing the kill shot on the Rikti drop ship. It's a bit of an incentive (because most people don't even know that the instanced MSR exists so it can take a long time to form), and a way to give back to the Excelsior community. Sometimes, other people donate INF towards the kill shot prize, but most of the time the entire kill shot prize comes out of my pocket. I know that marketeering is a better way to do it, but I look at and work with spreadsheets for my job all day, every day. I just can't bring myself to bother with it.
  9. Silly question. Have you tried to revalidate all of your game files in Tequila or Island Rum?
  10. It will be taking place on Excelsior.
  11. I have been a DC Comics fanboy since I was a wee lad, so I wanted to really like DC Universe Online very badly. I even bought a lifetime subscription the day the game released. Sadly, I just couldn't get into it. It was obvious from the start that it was a bad console port, and from what I've read it's still a bad console port nine years later.
  12. The only time I ever really noticed the Psi hole was while attempting to solo multiple Malaise bosses simultaneously in Night Ward. That hurt. A lot.
  13. Corruptor needs something since damage procs beat the AT up and stole its lunch money.
  14. For whatever reason, Dispersion Bubble has been like that on Controllers since Issue 0. It was just copied over to Corruptors in Issue 25.
  15. Force Field does have one use at the level 50 end game, and that is AoE mez protection. It’s very important for Rikti mothership raids and most Incarnate trials. Oddly though, Controller and Corruptor FF have stronger mez protection numbers than FF Defenders.
  16. I have already done a lot of that. Tanked a five person Hamidon raid on a Brute with no temporary powers used. Done a Lord Recluse Strike Force with no enhancements, enemies buffed, and players debuffed. Led a six person instanced MSR successfully with five random people. Donate a minimum of 200 million INF per week. None of that changes perception. And the perception, by many people, is that Incarnate abilities (outside of Alpha), are too powerful in non-Incarnate content. The Incarnate threads and Empyrean merits from veteran levels greatly exasperates this. So the two solutions are to either make a lot more Incarnate only content (which is extremely unlikely), or remove the Incarnate threads and Empyrean merits from veteran levels to substantially slow down Incarnate progression. But as I said, I don’t expect it to happen. I just thought that I would bring it up while discussing veteran levels.
  17. Hrm. Then try filing a /petition in game because that definitely sounds like a bug as those are all of the badges required for it.
  18. By off chance, do you already have Freedom Phalanx Reserve Member badge?
  19. In the various AMAs over the years, it was said that both the developers and players developed Praetoria fatigue, so they started moving to the Batallion. However, they did want to eventually come back to Praetoria and add two new zones. 1. Neo Tokyo, level 40 to 50. Rebuilt Tokyo that would let players see the impact of the Hamidon Wars on east Asia. 2. A new Incarnate only zone that deals with Praetorian Hamidon. It sounds like it would have been aimed at level 50+50s.
  20. AE was the worst thing that Paragon Studios added to the game. A lot of people warned them during the Issue 14 beta of exactly what would happen if it went live. They didn’t listen.
  21. Dinging level 47 and being nearly immediately inundated with tells along the lines of, “Hey, would you mind going to PI and bridge for us?”
  22. See the post I made right before yours. It is what AE farming and double XP has taught the majority of new players to the game. You can just sit back, relax, and go right from reward to reward with little effort. They have no idea how to play the game any other way.
  23. To be frank, the game needs to be made longer. Double XP works great for us veterans who have played the game for years, but it has done a lot of harm to the game for newbies. There are a lot, and I do mean a lot, of new players to the game over the past year with level 50 characters (multiple even), who between AE and double XP legitimately have no idea how to play the game. I have had to kick more attempted door sitters from my Task Forces and Strike Forces (especially ITF) over the past year than I ever recall having to do in seven years of playing live. Heck, I had to do it just last night. They think because they can be carried to level 50 in an AE farm by one Brute or Tanker, that they can be freely carried in anything as long as there is at least one level 50 on the team. Then once they do get to level 50, all they know is what they learned in AE farms. It's double XP which enables that.
  24. Okie, so it's definitely not just me then. I'll just write the AT off as something not for me. Thanks!
