Where does HC come down on historical characters in AE/MA?
GM Crumpet replied to mechahamham's topic in General Discussion
As I say, AE historicals have more leeway. "Doctor Time has kidnapped the most evil historical figures in history!! Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to defeat the evil army and use a modified version of the medical teleporter to send them back to their correct place in the time stream. This message will self destruct in 5 seconds" I'd play it 😛 -

As for player created AE, as long as they are NPC's and it's part of a time travel plot we tend to allow more leeway. Stopping Nemesis going back in time to assassinate Elvis before he became famous and having to rescue him and lead him out to safety? I don't have a problem with that. Going back in time to stop the 5th column giving Hitler modern weapons and meeting Hitler? Give him a slap for me. Time travel exists in CoH lore, and as long as the scenario is appropriate I think it could be fun. edit I'd have a problem with a more modern idea though. Going back in time to assassinate a current political leader (mentioning no names) would be problematic. Keep it old, keep it historical. Don't make it too modern. -

The general rule is nobody who died when someone now is still alive. So we go roughly 70 years from death or post World War 2. If anyone over 70 is playing, welcome and I'm glad to see you. I know I'll still be playing at 70 😛 There is also the infamy rule. Nobody who is an awful individual is generally allowed. So Hitler, Mussolini, Vlad the Impaler, Caligula etc. People who's crimes were so horrific their infamy will never die. One more we don't generally allow is religious figures from current religions. So no Mohammed, no Allah, No Yahweh, no Jesus, no Buddha, etc. The only exception for Jesus is if it's an actual name as pronounced Haysoos by Spanish speaking people. I know a Jesus and didn't know that was the spelling for years 🙂 Also, though tangential and not what the OP asked, don't pin your religious or political flags to your mast. Those just cause issues. We don't care who you vote for or worship, or what your affiliations are, we prefer you to keep those private and out of the game. I'm sure I've probably missed something, but those are the criteria I look at when I generic someone. Nobody currently alive, nobody who died less than 70 odd years ago, no iconic religious figures, nobody who's crimes have gone down in history for their foulness and scale. -
Oh I know. She was dead for a long time, appearing as a force ghost astral projection. Then there were shenanigans and she was resurrected as a hot 30 year old. And obviously moisturising is vital.

On a rewatch the first three episodes are recontextualised and you see things in plain sight you missed without the context from later episodes. It's surprisingly effective.

I'm usually the same, but I couldn't get into the first couple of episodes of Wandavision until I saw a spoiler free review about episode 4 that piqued my interest. I'm glad I went back as it turned out to be excellent. If you can make it to episode 4 you are hooked. It's a very clever show and Kathryn is wonderful. I am not too sure about the depiction of agatha, I am old enough to remember when she was introduced as a nanny for Franklin Richards then later for Wanda and Visions children. Plus her tutoring Wanda in magic. She was neither a good guy nor a bad guy, she was one of those intriguing supporting characters that seemed to do their own thing. Later or not they made her a bit of a villain and for me spoiled a great character. My first introduction to Agatha who I fell in love with Later iteration I lost interest in

Was me. I saw my messages and there were sooooo many reports. Then I saw all the ones that weren't reported. It took me ages to clear it all up. If it wasn't for the reporters I wouldn't have seen them as quickly.

Please show some love to the Kheldons:

What do you play? Have I seen you in a Hami or MSR? -
Just a thank you to everyone who reports the spam postings we get. Without a heads up from players we might not notice them for a lot longer. If you see anything that could be spam please don't hesitate to report it. While we do have active moderation, we aren't about all the time and a report from someone can really help nip it in the bud before it becomes a problem. Best wishes to all (except the spammers), Crumpet

There is so much to do as you level and a lot of fun stuff designed for the level range it's meant for. I love Freaklympics and the Vahzilok Plague. I love the Laura Lockheart stuff. The Hollows arcs and Faultline arcs are both fun and explain some of the early lore. Everything can be done via Ouroboros if you missed it, but you are limited to the maximum level of the particular story and you lose powers that are above the level range. If you don't have IO's or attuned enhancement sets you also lose the benefit from them. As far as I'm aware (and someone will take great delight in telling me if I'm wrong) the IO's and SO's scale to the level of the mission too. Where we differ to other games is that there isn't one storyline that goes all the way through the game, and there isn't a vast amount to do once you hit the level cap. There is level 50 content, and getting your incarnate abilities to maximum is always fun, but sooner rather than later all you have left is some trials and raids.

My puppy (he's 9 now) loved wires. He was in the garage and stripped every wire off the lawnmower

I'm going to try that next. I didn't want to do anything until the dev I managed to speak to it has finished looking into it. I thought it best to make a bug report as well so the other devs can take a look

Well that was weird. Decided to try Ashling Corlett via Ouroboros and can't enter the first mission. I get the hour glass when I click to enter then it decides I'm not worthy and won't let me in. See? Even GM's have bugs affect them 🙂 I tried logging off and logging back in, tried zoning and using mission transporter. Nothing worked.

I bought some bitter spray guaranteed to stop dogs chewing things or your money back. My puppy thought it was the best thing ever and doubled down on the chewing then barked at me when he'd chewed it all off to put some more on. I got my money back 🙂

I've pinned this post as it's very helpful

Bell End. Shitterton. Fingeringhoe. Cockermouth. Wetwang. Sandyballs. All absolutely delightful British villages you'd definitely want to live in Apparently the residents were so sick of people pinching their village sign they had one made in stone

blowhole!! <snigger> It's like many words, it's only dirty in the mind of a 12 year old boy. I used to giggle whenever my teacher said Uranus. And cummingtonite. And wait till you see some of the more out there village and street names in the UK 🙂

As if we would ever do that to reports of someone standing too close to an RP group and being threatening with a donut......
