I'll learn everyone's handle, eventually (will start writing everyone's alt down, during the event 😆).

It was truly my pleasure and we were but six (then five) but mighty. Special thanks to @GM Impervium who fixed a bug that involved us completing the Bertha mission twice, and reloaded for a third time. TachStar (as Vann-aLenn) got the star after we logged back in, so also thanks to him for loading the last couple missions (and the laughs). Unfortunately a lightning storm forced Little Orphan Angry to bail early, but managed to get this one, before she dropped: Then, with only five mighty tank heroes, we managed to take down Babbage, albeit requiring a lengthy slog (Evenomed Daggers, FTW!), as evidenced, here: FALL YOU GIANT MONSTER ROBOT THINGY! Good times were had by all, much leveling with Dad jokes, puns, faux insults about the warehouse hostages (apologies, simple humans) and battle cries in Latin abounded . I look forward to the 20th (dusting off MISSADVENTUR on Everlasting).

Amen. I bring "The Atomic Warden", to all AV killing parties 🙂
-
And I feel the same about spines. The animations and sounds are just too annoying/painful to be able to enjoy the toon...
-
So why not make it as a tank? At what difficulty settings?
-
Also my thanks to Lor for running Numina. Somebody (apologies for forgetting who) got TFC, when we finished, so that was cool! My pleasure on Infernal, was very rewarding for a four tank team (2-50s and 2-20 somethings) to finish that map and take down Infernal at +3/8. Well played!
-
Sidebar: There is nothing, I repeat NOTHING more amusing that a stone tanker, in granite armor, performing the MA kicks. The animations are hilarious. I never built one, but have played with a few and it is the most ridiculous (in a good way) thing, I think, that can be seen in the game.

Since there weren't tanks in CoV, it was the only equivalent, red-side. Today, with Homecoming, IO sets and ATO sets, there's not much point, since you can make a lot of scrapper secondaries tank-ish and a lot of tank secondaries devastatingly effective...unless you want to create a fire farming toon, where brutes are the undisputed kings.
-
Kinda leaves Melee as the best applicable. Either +Regen/+Resist or +Regen/+Def, whichever you need more.
-
I totally understand...wait until you see what I have in store for 50+. Should be close to your indestructible build. 😁

So I tried the opposite of Snarky, as far as spend goes. Dusted off an idled SS/Inv brute on Excelsior. I respec'd (at 47 so obviously no incarnate powers) and finally went to IOs and a few sets (played almost all of Live with SOs). You'll notice that I don't even have the the ATOs and still have a bunch of standard IOs. With judicious use of yellow sets (Multi Strike, Serendipity, Doctored Wounds, Titanium Coating, Crushing Impact and Focused Smite), it still has some survivable numbers. Many of those can even be bought with merits, or for less than 500K in the auction house. Total, I have only spent about 100 Mil (did not use merits for anything other than recipes for building enh and the converter roulette - AH sell game for infl). I can easily S/L farm at +2/8 and even hold up extremely well, on lvl 50 PI groups. Very well said and, ITF defines your last paragraph, exactly. My WP/Fire tank is 110% of everything needed, in almost any content, until ITF...then he gets shredded without Barrier...while my invuln tanks giggle that it "tickles".

Are we meeting in RWZ or as an LFG. Do we need the Vanguard badge?
-
Thanks. This is why I love this forum and community. You guys/gals are the best.

This makes perfect sense. Mace to the Face is my first ever SD tank (much less to 50), so it felt rather strange being stunned, only to be able to activate the power...I see the reasoning now. Also the reason why a moderately priced set build with only T1/T2 incarnates has me taking the ITF dark ambush at +4/8, with reasonable ease... Thanks, Invader.

I could not agree more. Why not an infinite number of autofire? 🙂
-
Why on Earth is this not a toggle? Even if it's perma with recharge reductions, Hasten and LotGs (etc.), why should it require taking the auto-fire slot away from the aforementioned Hasten, or any other power you want to self-activate? Every other tank, IIRC, has status protection as a toggle or auto.

@Heraclea has been doing Inv/Dark for a long time, you might look at her build(s), as well.

Server issues yesterday reinforced my decision to keep a 50 tank on every shard. Only one non-50, and I just started him (sitting at 37, atm): Inv/SJ - 50 Inv/SS - 50 Inv/SS - 50 Stone/SS - 50 Willpower/Fire - 50 Dark/Dark - 50 Shield/Mace - 37

TTT, with the right color scheme. Ran this version for TT on Indom, last night. Never needed granite at +4/8 running missions against Praetorians, Arachnos, Carnies and Council. At Warboss' behest, I took the alpha from Marauder and we stomped him, Chimera, Dominatrix and I forget what other AVs, without much fanfare. Epic fun was had by all. Thanks again to Warboss for "herding" all this together. Mission teams FTW!
