  1. I agree that repeating themes can actually be really fun! We could even pop back in to the beginning of the thread to see about refreshing those ideas. 🙂 Some random ideas came to me, so throwing them out in case we want to use them for the future. Some are repeats or twists on repeats. One thing that comes to mind is twisted Robin Hood - steals from the poor to give to the rich or some variation of that (evil Robin Hood basically). Or even Robin Hood with guns instead of a bow and arrow. Plants! Make some sort of plant-based costume/have plant powers (e.g., I've seen some uber creative variations of people being a pumpkin, tree, etc.) Since it's the middle of summer: Melting Away - At least one fire power and costume that reflects the summer heat (thinking like, you look like you're melting, bikinis, etc) Follow the leader - First person to sign up sets the (you choose here whether it's just the AT, AT & powers, just the powers, etc) for the rest of the group I think we've done this before, but always a good one is Going to the Movies - Dress up as your favorite movie character Twist on the above: We're in a movie - Pick a movie theme and we dress up as actors for that theme. Game of Heroes/Villains: CoX villain/hero groups costumes And, that's all I've got for now, lol
  2. After many of the updates that have been done, beasts are *technically* the current worst of the MM primaries. Doesn't mean they're not serviceable or won't arrest mobs or whatever.
  3. I see we are to a release candidate but Tide Pool is still lacking a proper animation.
  4. I'm going to try and be there on Frostie Claws - Ice/Claws Tanker as gender-bent Eddie
  5. Typically you would at least take Hell on Earth to use it to slot the pet uniques that would otherwise take up slots in your regular pet powers. Demons/EA is also considered a very sturdy and tanky combination that likely isn't going to shine at level 15. EA is practically made for MM's and a potent secondary for them. Demons pair well with just about every secondary out there. Demons/Cold is a strong pairing that is late blooming and capable of dropping AV's if I recall correctly. Demons/Storm lets you bring about a lot of fun, but won't really keep the demons upright (I have one of these and she wreaks massive amounts of destruction). But mostly I feel like you're not going to see the strength of Demons/EA at level 15; EA just doesn't shine at that level range.
  6. Turns out I can't make it tomorrow. I have family visiting from out of town and it was decided we're gonna do something in the morning together. Good luck to you all!
  7. @TrixieKixx So grateful you're okay and made it out of your ordeal alive. 🫂 That sounds absolutely terrifying. Please focus on your health; we'll be wishing you nothing but the best. We look forward to seeing you when you're feeling well to visit. 🙂❤️
  8. It's basically just a clone of the cone heal in nature; it heals both the user and friendly targets in range of the cone.
  9. Being someone named Ashley irl and with how many times I've been called Assley, YES, this would be a far better insult. 😂
  10. I love you guys too. ❤️ But I'm happy to change to a water blast character if that's what the theme actually is, I just saw water-themed and was like, let's play with that a bit lol. If the new powerset was ready, I would be bringing a marine affinity character instead. 😂
  11. Yeah, the set seems to play really different depending on what AT you're using. I'm hoping to make time to try it on one or two of the other AT's as well.
  12. I will give my feedback on the arc later, but I wanted to point out a typo I found in the last mission: Her name is Ashling, unless Countess Crey is using the wrong name as a means of insulting her.
  13. I know there were some folks curious about Marine paired with Necro and all I gotta say is: Do it. I'm a meh to average player and am testing it at level 41 with basic IOs (running the new Ashling Corlett arc at the same time). I can't speak to the in depth numbers stuff many of you other folks can, but for an average player using this set, it feels really good with necro. My biggest complaint so far is that Shifting Tides has to be recast on one of my henchmen every time we move through an elevator (which is a lot so far on the Corlett arc). And just sort of playing by feel; I can't tell if Brine is doing anything to make the harder Crey targets in this arc feel easier to defeat. Also, Tide Pool is still lacking a proper animation both in the character create screen and in game which is a minor annoyance when you're casting and getting your stuff set up. Toroidal Bubble is really great for helping to keep end from tanking, even on an active MM using personal attacks, epic abilities, and my secondary. I rarely had to pop blues to keep the action going. I don't fully understand the complaint about the T9 as it's very similar to Nature's T9, which is a huge fancy animation for a big buff. I've only had 1 death at 0/x3 (starting small since I am still feeling this pairing out) in the second missing of Corlett's arc, and that was due to a player error. I failed to pull a spawn around a corner to take them on as the one PP had hot feet running so even with spamming my henchmen to follow me, they had no choice but to run about wildly and pull other groups. Considering I almost survived this failed attempt utilizing things like the debuffs and frenzy mechanic, I am sure a more talented player would have been able to come out ahead (I mean, assuming they pulled my whoopsie and didn't pull the spawn properly in the first place). Marine definitely wants you to be able to preset up things like Tide Pool and buff up before you jump into the melee, which makes things like spawns right behind doors a bit like "oh shit let's get it running lol." I'm not sure if Stealth would help with that. Overall though, I'm finding this pairing of Necro/Marine to be fun, sturdy, and powerful feeling. The second mission of Corlett's arc warns you the mobs will be tougher than a normal mission and other than my whoopsie engagement, my zombies powered right through the mobs. There was even a point where they all went down to a tough PP, but I was able to resummon and rebuff and finish the fight like it never happened. I'm undecided about keeping brine, but feel like Shoal may be worth it as an MM since it can be procced and the debuffs can help the henchies combat the lower damage they face due to level shifts. Not to mention proc'ing frenzy providing them with some needed mitigation.
  14. Am I crazy or did some of the MM pets get a size increase on the beta? Or have I just never made a mini sized (sliders at lowest for height and legs) MM? I don't recall the zombies seeming this large on live and I thought the wolf seemed bigger on the beast MM I'm testing on beta as well.
  15. If nothing comes up, I will try to be there on Fae Tastic - Time/Storm Defender (it just says water themed and time can be made to look like water and storm blast has water powers in it lol).
  16. Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear that about Trixie. 😞 I'm glad she's okay and hope she gets well. For this one, I'll be there on Ruff Ruff Boom - AR/Dev Blaster pretending to be Nemesis.
  17. I have a stone/bio brute named Dung Beetle (whose powers are dung colored) and an earth/poison controller named Horse Apples who also has poo colored powers. I think Horse Apples also has the flies aura to complete the effect.
  18. I'm not sure if it's because I'm using monstrous parts in the character creator, but Tide Pool doesn't seem to have a casting animation when reviewing it in the character creator. I will see if I can get a video. Edit: Here's a short video where I have it started on Brine which has an animation, but as you can see on Tide Pool, my character just stands there and the right hand only gets a sort of water effect on it before the power casts.
  19. I won't be there today. I have not had any free time to play and level a character. Have fun today.
  20. I'm not advocating to never use hurricane. Your example is a fabulous example for how great it can be. Again, the point was that a single stormer was jumping in to stand on the tank and causing 360 degrees of scatter, and thus being detrimental. I am in no way saying hurricane is a bad power, or that KB as a whole is bad; I was merely noting a detail in the story that someone missed.
  21. To be fair, the person you're quoting specifically said this person was using hurricane and standing on top of the tank. That's not just getting upset over some kb. That's a 360 degree radius of repel completely scattering everything in every direction and making tanking nearly impossible and making AoE's ineffective. Hurricane pack scatter is not cool or fun for your team/group.
  22. Thank you for this Midnyte! I knew I was messing up the terminology, but was being too lazy to look it up. 😅 I agree that it's too ambiguous. I wasn't sure if this theme was the Widow AT or the Widow spec and I totally phrased my question poorly. >_< I appreciate your clarification. ❤️
  23. Okay perfect, if I can get her leveled up, I will be there on Fortune's Told - Fortunata
  24. When you say Widow, does that mean fortunatas too? Or just the blood widow tree or whatever it's called?
