  1. And risk being in the same hell as @PeregrineFalcon? No thanks.
  2. Oh, that was you? We were on a radio team the other night. My Ice/Sav Tank is pretty fun. I don't think I've ever had End issues on that toon. And since Ice/ is pretty self sufficient, you get a lot of room for creativity while slotting. Just mulling over some other ideas, Shield/Sav sounds pretty cool for the double TP nuke. SR/Sav would excel also, but that's true for SR/anything.
  3. Well I'd be a little sour about that. I use that map for a particularly challenging encounter in one of my arcs.
  4. I didn't even know they weren't available to all body types. But I have the attention span of a medium-sized boulder, so that's not a huge shock.
  5. The Ghostflame Steeple, Fire Armor/Ice Melee Tanker First time I've ever used the CoT back on a toon. Woo!
  6. Extra post. My bad.
  7. I wanted to show my work, whether it measures up to what others posted or not. Please disregard if it's not your cup of tea. I didn't come here to debate or offend anyone. I like to go hog-wild for damage. That translates into quite a few of my builds becoming s***-cannons. Hence why, at least in my experience, Ageless looks pretty tasty for something like this.
  8. I was skimming the thread on mobile when I commented. My experience with both SS and SD is that they can be taxing on the end bar in long fights. Now that I've looked at your build, it's very safe. The resistance numbers are particularly impressive. I feel like having Fire Ball is a little redundant, but I would be putting Hand Clap there to push FF procs. There's a bit of recharge being left on the table, but that in turn would translate to a more End hungry toon. Personally I would be reaching for double stacked Rage and enough defense to compensate for that, somewhere in the mid-60s (Edit: which, after looking a bit more into it, is a pipedream). Just my opinions. Everyone has different build philosophies which is what makes sharing so great.
  9. Nothing wrong with liking Dr Q. I was more commentating on the absurd notion that AE Farming doesn't deserve to be scrutinized just a little bit because "things like Dr Q exist". The amount of investment vs reward isn't comparable.
  10. Exactly. They never even stood a chance to come close to the mightiness of the Dr Q Farmer. Mostly because they were AFK.
  11. It is completely possible for your DEF to be fine during Rage Crash. You might not even have to worry about taking too many stray shots because of how well Shield can build RES. That End bar, though? Yikes. I'm not a huge fan of builds that require Ageless.
  12. How about no, but I'm not against the idea of having subsections of "scaled content" in zones that everyone can participate in.
  13. Nope, I think 40 is still too high. I'd be more on board with a lvl 30 token. Just high enough to have most of your keystone powers and a nice handful of slots.
  14. Nah, team buffs are stronger than any IO build. However, as you gain experience with the IOs, building becomes a lot more fun for huge nerds. It's like Tetris with math.
  15. I'd have to go with a Rad/Dark Tank as a good all-rounder. Shadow Maul puts in a lot of work in those low levels, and Radiation Therapy is a fantastic heal with minimal slotting. Beta Decay and punches give you enough layered mitigation that much isn't giving you any trouble.
  16. Sorry, I'm misremembering then. There was a similar issue with Fury closer to the launch of CoV. I wasn't sure when it got fixed. That was a long ass time ago. I don't disagree. I just find my Ice/SS to be very enjoyable.
  17. It gives a tiny boost to the regeneration you get from Health. With softcap and scaling resists, you don't need much else to keep yourself upright, so little boosts like that can go a long way.
  18. Howdy. I looked over your build. Just wanna offer a couple of my own opinions. That's some pretty impressive s/l resistance, but if you're making this toon for general purpose, I would recommend sacrificing some of that to invest into nrg/neg resistance. It'll help with stuff like ITF where the Nictus Essence will autohit you. The 3 passives also offer massive scaling resistance, so as you lose HP you essentially become more invincible. I have a couple of proc chasing toons, but my personal experience with MA is that because the powers recharge so fast, you start to see diminishing returns on your procs in long fights. This is mostly just personal feel. I've never done real testing on that. Anyways, I do have an example of what I would do for your perusal. I did keep in mind you want to use Fold Space but I almost forgot, so I built with that in mind. Incarnates are turned off, but I'd go with Musculature Core if I were using this. Maybe Vigor if you're against using insps. And all of my SR characters have Barrier, because sometimes stuff just gets through.
  19. I'm pretty sure those Fury issues were fixed closer to CoV's launch. Your brute will generate Fury just fine. It's not really bad on any AT. Scrappers and Stalker benefit from getting Icy Bastion as a T9 instead of Hibernate. Using Ice Armor on a Tank is pretty easy mode for most game content. Tanks can softcap on SOs thanks to Energy Absorption. And you'll never have End problems again thanks to the same power. I love it the most on Tanks, but that's mostly personal preference. It will pair great with anything. Pair it with your favorite melee. You have unlimited Taunt, great End recovery, and a dumptruck full of HP. Carnies hurt, though. For what it's worth, one of my fave Tanks, and well toons actually, is Ice/SS.
  20. Ok, it was a pretty quick runover, but I moved a few slots around and managed to barely softcap s/l/nrg DEF with Agility Core. Throwing 2 pieces of Rectified Reticle blew my mind, so I had to steal that. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with it on paper. 4.4 end/sec for recovery is still overkill, but it's mostly because of Agility, and I want that to inch out the couple of DEF points I get from it. I'll definitely grab Musculature as a pocket for when I'm on 50+ teams.
