Not a ton of recharge but after all you're a kin and you can pretty much stand in the center of the storm with the tanks and scrappers and brutes and not die. Fun build, and a /fire defender does pretty good damage. ^_^ Probably the Kismet: Accuracy IO can be gotten rid of with the modern snipe mechanics that are about to be implemented.

  3. Also I heard you didn't need to talk to an NPC, you can just select your notoriety by clicking on the little button icon to the right of your chat bubble window. [/Gilligan] :P
  4. You: You know what I like? Controllers. Me: Dude, you gotta give me time to guess.
  5. There needs to be an FAQ for these forums, because this question comes up at least once a week. :P Edit to add: more than one GM has posted that these other pool powers are near the top of the list of things people in charge want to see finished. I think some require new animations, and that's something they weren't able to do until maybe recently. So... maybe soon? Eventually? Who knows? Only the Shadow Leandro knows....
  6. I would say no, because Scrapper used to be my favorite AT but now I enjoy playing a wide variety of Blasters, Brutes, Defenders, Corruptors, even Stalkers and Widows on occasion. I've tried everything but the other ATs I didn't enjoy quite as much. On the other hand, I've been reading the Scrapper AT sub forum and pretty much ignoring all of the other AT-specific forums, so maybe I still have Scrappers on the brain....

    Shields...

Stalkers get shield. On the one hand, I really like shield on a stalker, because they benefit a lot from an extra AoE. On the other hand, shield is really best on a scrapper as has been pointed out. (But nothing's stopping you from doing both!) I don't have a strong preference on a primary. I have an elec/shield and I like it a lot, but I also like other */shield combos such as fire/shield, MA/shield, etc. Thematically broad sword/shield and mace/shield work very well of course.
  8. I could tell you, but I'd have to kill you. :o Basically, it was a SCORE thing that was never finished, and won't be I think.
  9. In the end I did not quite hit 500 million influence in a week, and I have 22 IOs still waiting to sell. Looking over what hasn't sold, I can say that most of this will probably sell at some point. I've obviously priced my Numina's too high, although they were selling at those prices last weekend. I did sell a few Miracles for over 5 million, probably thanks to that glitch, but that could take a very long time to move. But the only thing here that I suspect may never sell for my listed price is the Theft of Essence, it probably is in too little demand and there are always people who have listed for less than mine is listed. I'm also not sure why I have an Aegis: Resistance listed for over 5 million, it must have had few for sale when I listed it. Oh well!
  10. Can you elaborate on this please? I think Bio Armor is superior to Willpower if you fully IO it out. Otherwise, Willpower works well even on SO's.
  11. So if you hit, you have to wait 10 seconds or whatever until momentum is gone? Why don't we just say pick any primary you want and never attack? :o Although this does make me wonder if you could do the old Healzor "I don't take any attacks" approach one better and apply it to a melee character like a Scrapper? Take only one attack from your primary, tale all your defensive powers, and load up on support-style pool powers... :P I wonder how gimped you could become?
  12. I think people tend to agree that electric/shield works best on a scrapper, although I do like shield stalkers because any additional AoE on a stalker is nice. Kinetic Melee is a set that really works best on a stalker, because of the addition of a quick-strike AS attack.
  13. If you know what you're doing, you can run a 1 hour or less ITF at +4/8 starting with 2 or 3 Incarnate Death Gods (you know what I mean -- well-built, well-incarnated characters) and it absolutely doesn't matter who the other 5-6 people on the team are or what they contribute. Most of the game doesn't require Incarnate Death Gods, just smart players. People who demand that you have X build or that they need X AT or that you can not bring X AT to the party reveal to me that they don't know what they're doing, they aren't smart players, and I do not want to team with such people if I can avoid it. If you're trying to complete a Master Of TF, then okay, I can understand being picky. But I'd hope you have friends who you play with that you can trust in those situations. :P
  14. I've gotten pretty bad about documenting my progress the last couple of days, but I've continued to craft and list 20 IOs every morning and evening. This morning I was at about 440 million influence, and I listed 20 new IOs which took care of the last 20 recipes that I'd bought. I began this project last Tuesday evening, so tonight we'll see how close to 500 million I am, and I think it would be interesting to see what hasn't sold in the past week. I really haven't played the character much. I'm still at level 24. But I guess it was a marketing project all along. 8) Next step would be to set up a build and purchase it, I like to have a build in place from 27 on when I can slot level 30 IOs.
  15. I'm sure a few of my builds are in there. :P
  16. I have recently seen a really good player-made Rorschach so I know it can be done.
  17. https://forums.homecomingservers.com/index.php/topic,4554.0.html I posted about this in relation to the Rainbow Comicon S/L farm, and got absolutely no response from anyone. I decided that maybe I shouldn't be trying to run a defense-primary scrapper (mine was shield, but a really well built one) at +4/8 with bosses in an AE farm, because even when I switched to a farm without Savage Melee bosses in it, I could only survive for a few minutes before finally succumbing (but at least that wasn't the insta-death that these other farms serve up). It definitely is Savage Leap that is the main culprit. I've been working on an MA/Invul brute in part just because I was curious how well a really good resist-based brute would do in these kind of farms with these nasty Savage Melee bosses, but I'm only about level 42 for now. I suspect without a fast-recharging heal, even my brute is going to have problems.
  18. If you're willing to spend lots of money, Bio. If you're on a budget, Willpower.
  19. It IS true, and I have no idea how you're just hearing about it now.
  20. 300 converters will allow me to convert 40-60 IOs, from which I can make well over 100 million influence, with which I can buy 10 superpacks, from which I can get, on average, more than 10 ATOs. Just saying. ^_^ But don't let me stop you from convincing people to sell me their converters, because I'm making a lot of money from buying them.
  21. I had more than one Titan Weapons character at 50 on live. In fact, I might have had three. It was definitely released before the game shut down, and not one of the last sets released either -- from what I remember water blast and nature were the last two sets that went live before the game shut down.
  22. I'm going to assume you figured this out long ago, but for anyone who doesn't know, you go around the building in Ouroboros to the back side and there's a second Ouro portal there that will take you to all of the Echo zones.
  23. What I remember is that run speed doesn't really help, but jump speed does (I think because it's a controlled fall rather than you just moving forward) and jump control helps a lot, so using ninja run or combat jumping works well. The fastest speed badge was just a matter of doing it over and over until I got the best route down and didn't make any mistakes.
  24. Yeah I like to run that one once in a while, 20 merits in about 10 minutes of work is very good. My favorite Ouro arc is Freakshow Wars. It has 8 missions, 3 of which are kill all. The others you can stealth to objectives and move pretty fast, and the last mission you have to kind of know what to look for, but the room with just 2 Lts fighting each other by themselves is the boss room you have to clear. The whole arc is 55 merits and I can do it in less than an hour usually. For the Dreck map mission, you just need to fly or superspeed around until you find the two negotiators. I usually use a keybind to target "negotiator", such as /bind X "targetcustomnext enemy negotiator" They seem to spawn at some point after you've entered the mission, so they may appear in a spot after you've gone past it once. But they talk when they appear or you're near them, so that's a clue.
