  1. I too would like to know more about AR/Regen ... we need people squeezing out the max out of these niche builds for those of us that like to play weird combos 😄
  2. I grabbed this build to try something different and perhaps not very team friendly, but serves as a good starting point ... thank you for sharing ...
  3. Guys I have this crazy idea for a rp character that I want to build and instead of going corruptor or controller , I want to play something like this build to have fun in groups, tfs , radio mishes and the occasional trial as an odd guy. I skipped the team buffs because I SUX ROYALLY at helping others but like the defender better siphon , which is honestly the only power I am taking from the set mostly + sonic dispersion for resists , skkiping even the boringly long liquefy that some people argue for and against. I know helping others will make killing faster and help tremendously versus AVs ... but again, after trying to keep people buffed in other builds I hate it and I mostly group with randos in radio mishes where everything just dies so fast I just want to do some damage here and there and then when trying to do fun stuff run solo or in small groups but people were telling me for that defenders higher -res in siphon alone is worth it plus it goes with my RP build idea. Dont plant to farm or go do insanse +4 x8 solo taskforces, not my jam, but just breeze thru mishes and help with GMs, and the occasional AV and just laze around when doing hami from afar. Suggestions are welcome This Hero build was built using Mids Reborn 3.1.0.10 https://github.com/LoadedCamel/MidsReborn Click this DataLink to open the build! I am using it as a blaster lite that debuffs single targets and has some lite control in the form of sleeps with a solid hastenless recharge of +270% So keeping that in mind , no buffing others, pumping my own damage and keeping ok resists what you guys would change?
  4. Yep that is the whole thing ... Pain is an amazing set but for corruptors, like someone else mentioned in another thread, if you want to simply help your team, go defender due to better stats out of the powerset, as of right now the whole endgame favors damage over everything else and Pain does not help much with it when mixed with Psy, as you end up having to buff individual team members while your own damage output remains on a constant except on the moments when a world of pain is up for clicking and the several minutes timer begins to recharge and by that moment your team is already either finishing the mission or so deep its just a small spike in the whole canvas. What I am getting out of this if that Psy either needs a rework or simply a better pairing than Pain. From my own little experience, if Psy had a "build up" type of power to slot with gaussians with a decent recharge it would make it more tolerable. I am still trying to figure out how to save my 50 levels of time invested in this guy, but as of this moment I think I am falling into the sunk cost fallacy problem, but it was a fun ride, made me know more about Pain overall, which personally I see as a great powerset, and wondering on using it on a MM, as the many single target buffs it dole out will work wonders on pets, specially the big ones. Psy I think I will have to create a new guy with another secondary
  5. Care to share? Right now on a quest to level another corruptor as I just simply love them ... they bring a bit of everything I like about characters in this game: damage, survival, aoe, team, solo and ranged attacks. If you could point out to your build would love to copy it right away 😄
  6. Ah ... figures. But no dont really need it. Been playing severely these past two days with this particular build and am already planning to take out some powers (as I rarely if ever use them in my rotations when grouping or doing tfs) There is also a great need to re structure the levels at which you get certain powers, specially if like me, you run a lot of low level content like posis, numina, manticore etc. and getting the rez at late 40s is bad for me for example. For regular mission running its something I find odd, you either support your team with buffs and heals or focus on doing damage and dont know yet what I like more. Personally Pain by itself is a great group support powerset but I dont really like it much, at least the way this build mixes it with Psy. Feels a bit to me like vinegar and water, but then again I know Psy seems to be problematic (the resists and damage output so far for me is quite noticeable) specially when comparing it to my Water/Storm corruptor. I would drop some of the group buffing powers like Painbringer and Enforced Morale (been on 4 tfs and a handful of radio mission groups and honestly not really needed at all) so they end up being placeholder powers for resists/defense/recharge sets ... which is perhaps their intended use, but this leaves me with the feeling of having a half corruptor as I like things more explody, debuffy, aoey haha. I think I am too used to fully damage debuffing corruptors and seeing this half damage/half support idea is something that I really want to like but fail still to appreciate. Again, I am not very good with some powers or power synergies, so perhaps I am missing something here. Its been a pain for me soloing content, and even currently having issues with mender ramiel arc once you hit 50, trapdoor literally blows me out all the time, something I never had trouble before with my barely enhanced corruptors in the past. Wonder if properly slotting my little guy with more enhancement sets would do the trick, but right now am on the verge of shelving this little guy. Was a fun experience tho ... but I really like the rp idea of psy/pain as a character concept, so will keep hitting myself against a wall and try to kit him better and see if there is any difference Not bashing the build, it is quite complete and has some good resists specially with a world of pain ... perhaps its not the build for my playstyle. Any ideas or refutals are welcome though! 🙂
  7. I want to thank the devs for everything to be honest 😄 This game has kept me going these past months during the hardest times, always great to be online, do mishes, tfs, trials , play with new builds and just have fun for free on the net ... a small isle of fun and stability!
  8. I have seen people farm tears from people that ragequit TFs for "not waiting for them" as everyone got inside (happened to me yesterday during an ITF , everyone was weirded out. So tears can be farmed by anyone not just corruptors. on the topic at hand I have this link from a forum poster that has a nice water/storm build here in the forums: I use it almost verbatim and its quite good!
  9. Ah ah ... I get it ... there is still a lot I need to learn about MMs! I knew about bodyguard mode but never realized this mechanic could be used like this hmm ... Wow ... Thanks for the explanation! 😄
  10. I am currently trying this build you proposed with tweaks of my own like swapping CK and SJ for Hover and Fly (I dislike CJ) and so far has been quite interesting. What I liked about your build is the extreme accuracy/to hit with mid tier resists +generous damage bonus that intrigued me in Mids enough to try to make one. Currently just using regular enhancements as inf is scarce but I can see the potential. If you have upgraded your build since last time, please share it, I really like the roleplay aspect of Psy/Pain and would love to see more ideas for builds for this particular combo
  11. I managed to grab this build, tweak it a bit to my own playstyle and have a corruptor that can do energy farms +4 x8 (with some difficulty, its no true farmer) but I am quite pleased with it to be honest. What an awesome combo for corruptors, totally in love with this little guy.
  12. I have a Water/Storm corruptor build that I got from an earlier post and this guy can do +4x8 Energy Farms with some difficulty if I pay attention to inspiration gobbling and proper chain rotations + works wonders in TFs, mishes and regular pve content. Overall I believe Water Storm is a beast of a build combo and can shine in any content you set it up against. Amazing interaction
  13. I found this looking for most of your posts ... wow! I really like the builds you use and create for the community! Even if its two years later, I find them super fun! 🙂 Thanks for sharing them!
  14. Annnd today I discovered how SoA costume options work ... I was under the impression the "huntsman" option was the backpackless one. Well, live and learn. Amazing guide!
  15. Bah ... I found this out today so close to 2022 ... 😞 Wish I had known this earlier ... I dislike that backpack so much I am even wondering on rerolling but I am 45 ugh ...
  16. I been leveling with your build ... so far its been good! I have one question though, as I have never used it before and am pretty much a newbie with taunts ... but what is the use for provoke in the build?
  17. Could you kindly please repost the hunstman 24-50 one? seems to be missing from the thread, and I am very interested in it! Cheers!
  18. Was looking for a Huntsman no backpack build, but despite the thread saying there is one for huntsman only, all I can see hereis the two crab variants and the bane one ... Anyone knows where the huntsman build is? :D
  19. Any newbie sentinel like me should read this post fully ... Mind boggling information to astound the senses! 😄
  20. This build is the basis of my current Sentinel Build. With the power of mids , some tweaking here and there for my own playstyle ... I think it really performs incredibly well and is a solid sentinel choice. It is a blast to play in Groups and grateful for the analysis! Sentinels are very strange to me but I have grown fond of them thanks to this build. Thanks for sharing!
  21. I have spent several hours scouring the forums for data on masterminds, and this is a top notch post! It has served me well even today in 2021 so close to 2022! These posts are amazing and should be stickies!
  22. I know this might be a bit old, but wow, what an amazing deep look into masterminds! Sadly I am the guy that loves to play mercs and I am saddened to see them being so bad compared to others in terms of sheer power. Now all we need is for devs to launch new mm sets, like rikti handler (Energy,Psi Damage) , Insane Killer Klowns (Toxic, Smashing) and a new Vampire Possé mm (Dark, Lethal) Great Job!
  23. WHat happened to this build? was it rebuilt without the extra two slots? Anyone used it ? Kinda curious on trying a beast/nature combo
  24. Hi guys! I was scouring the forums for a sentinel build, having seen people hating on them and wanting to try them firsthand. I found a nice beam/elec build which I suited a bit to my own tastes in transport, play style and general shenanigans. Made it to 50, bought almost all but the most expensive sets scrapping what I would off my other level 50s and well ... So far it is an amazing PI Radio Mission group destroyer, event runner and general hami blasting Sentinel. I cant solo farm stuff on AE unless its some specific missions at mostly +2 x2 or x3 but then again I did not make it with farming in mind, mostly to fool around , do a bit of everything and try something new. Any critiques are welcome ... its not permahasted but honestly I dont mind the 30ish second gap between haste refresh as I group mostly and when I solo its even less noticeable. It does have capped resists which is a boon on groups for most of the common enemies, and it has pretty decent resists even on the weirder psi. I find it versatile and fun, specially as my usual combo is to target a member in the middle of a big group, self buff with Aim , proceed right away to drop the electric chain fence power from electric mastery, drop nuke (overcharge) , shower them with Refractor Beam and finally spread the front line with Cutting Beam ... it is extremely satisfying! I then pick the stragglers with my other powers no problem. It is a bit endurance heavy pre 50 when incarnates take the burden off end, but pre 50 when doing task forces or low level missions you dont need many toggles and endurance is manageable. I have done several DFBs, some taskforces, missions from 1 to 50 and it is really an all around workhorse. It is a weird mix of resilience with ok damage, but when disintegrate begins to hit and you see the disintegrate spam spreading all over, thats when it gets fun ... with you spamming aim (personally I leave it on auto push) it becomes super fun. I placed hasten at 50 because I have enough passive recharge to see considerable refresh without it and am even trying to wonder if hasten at all is worth it, considering I have over 80% passive and might consider switching hasten for an extra dummy power to hold another Luck of the Gambler for a close to passive 90% recharge .. I believe there are a lot of ways to make this better, but would love some input. I must confess I am not very good at building, so perhaps some of you might propose different things 🙂 Cheers! happy holidays to all! So any ideas on how to make this build even better , please comment.
