Its a tier 3 blaster secondary, a level 4 power. How good is it really supposed to be? Its said to suck because 'i got it at lvl 45 in an epic pool'. Those powers are copies from where they are taken, they arent buffed because other ATs dont get access to them until late levels. It has a chance to confuse minions in melee range long enough to redirect 1 attack. If you want more then that you will need to consider some heavy slotting. Or go with a mind, ice, or plant dominator. Mind and plant have good AoE confuse that can be supplemented by world of confusion. Ice has a toggle confuse so you can run 2 toggle confuses. Grab cognitive core interface for even more confuse. Im just not seeing the need to buff a lvl 4 AoE confuse toggle.

I hit upon a strange occurrence when using using shield defense and doing the coin toss emote. Instead of doing nothing, like many emotes with shield defense, or doing the actual emote, my character did an animation similar to what you would see when using ice blast. So I went through the emote menu and found numerous issues so here they are. *** While using Shield Defense *** Interact > Decide > Coin Toss - does an ice bolt animation Interact > Environment > Dig - does Active Defense animation Actions > Tantrum - does a slightly shorter Howl animation but with an angry man voice As many players that use Shield Defense will already know, there are a good portion of emotes that do absolutely nothing while your shield is visible (shield toggles on). But I discovered that nearly every emote that does some sort of animation will then allow you to use any of the emotes that usually do nothing, and they work just fine. Some will clip with the shield but there are a ton of them that are absolutely perfect. I assume that with emotes that work, your character is placed into 'normal stance' instead of 'shield stance'. As long as you dont move or otherwise break 'normal stance' you can use another emote from the *forbidden for shield stance* list and it will animate as normal. Personally, I liked having the flashlight in my shield arm and almost every single other emote work even with the minor clipping. But as I imagine it is not intended, here we are. Going through the menu extensively revealed some other issues so here they are as well *** Issues Affecting all Characters *** Idle > Mix Formula - says MixForumula as an emote line in the chat box. The emote menu is pulling a misspelled command. Typing /em MixFormula uses the emote properly Idle > Vigilante Loyal - says VigilaneLoyal as an emote line in the chat box. The emote menu is pulling a misspelled command. Typing /em VigilanteLoyal uses the emote properly Idle > Magic > Card Trick - if you remain stationary after the trick is over and the explosion of cards falls to the ground, another explosion of cards will come from your hand even though you arent doing the emote again. This will continue forever until you move your character or otherwise have your idle animation broken after the trick ends. Actions > Steam Punk > Steam Whistle - at least I think it was called Steam Whistle, now its labeled Inspiration. Inspiration is the first emote under Steam Punk and works normally. The third emote is now also named Inspiration and correctly uses the Steam Whistle emote, it just has the wrong label.

Increase Merit Rewards for Arcs Impacted by Crey Buffs
TheZag replied to Katharos's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I would hope that times that are grossly inflated from the average werent included at all for the very reason u mention. It would be nice if the fastest runs werent included either if there were some significant amount of resources required to accomplish that time. Who cares if they can finish DiB in 2 minutes if it takes 2 ultimates and 3 huge reds per person per run. They arent farming anything, it cost them more then they got for the run. I dont know if there is a way to track that though. -
Increase Merit Rewards for Arcs Impacted by Crey Buffs
TheZag replied to Katharos's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
There u go guys. If you want more rewards, we all need to do 'clear all' TFs and not 'speed' or 'speedy' or 'messy speedy' ones. I think originally it was just the fastest speed run that determined the reward. And thats why places like cavern of transcendence had such a small reward. A normal team takes 30+ minutes but a speedrun team was under 2 minutes. -
Ah ok, you arent referring to a bug, just that you feel the power sucks. What power set gets this power normally? That may show how much performance the power is supposed to have. Ill admit ive been underwhelmed with its performance but ive never given it enough slots or the contagious confuse proc. My main issue with it as an ancillary pool pick is i usually dont need a damage/confuse toggle on my ranged characters. I assume with some proper slotting on a character that gets into the action that it performs well.

This suggestion is intended to open up some pvp for the casual pvper. I dont care for the hardcore pvp stuff. It occurs to me that if there were less system generated matches, that may help a match to start. If there were 1 high lvl match, 1 mid level match and 1 low level match then possibly a random battle might happen. And if there was a forum for suggestions that will likely be not the best use of dev time, i would have posted this there. Im very aware that they do so much with just volunteer time. But this is the only forum i got so here it is. Maybe if they have some plans for pvp anyway then this might be considered.

Require Two Level 50 Characters to Get XP in AE
TheZag replied to Apparition's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Ive teamed with app and he does help the players ingame. Its the times when you are starting a positron and a lvl 50 doesnt know how to get out of atlas park. Ill admit its rare, ive probably only seen it happen twice myself. But when it does happen it makes you wonder how someone can achieve the maximum level and not have the very basic ingame knowledge of how to change zones. -
It could be those areas dont have enough pathing beacons. Using the power manually should operate by line of sight and work fine. If the command causes the power to use pathing beacons to find the target it may 'think' the power has to travel way over there and then way back over here to hit and that distance is out of range. You can sometimes tell when an area is a little low on pathing beacons when the enemies try to chase you using a less then optimal route or when they take the long way when you make a small movement.

Increasing the player pool by having all servers with the same arena should help. Back when i played warcraft and there were 3 pvp maps to que for, only 1 of them ever started because a single server didnt have the population to field all 3 battles at once. The result was nobody even qued for the other 2 maps anymore. When cross server pvp was introduced, there were enough people to get all of the maps going. In turn, more players qued for pvp because it was possible to play the map that you wanted and not just the single map that didnt die out.
-
Its common knowledge that pvp is barely played on these servers. This is partly due to the population of pvp'ers being spread out over multiple servers. There is a higher concentration on the unofficial pvp server, but overall not many arena matches have enough people qued to ever start. I will generally see around 10 people qued across 3 or 4 matches so none of them ever reach the minimum player requirement. If the arena system were cross server then the combined player pool would potentially be 50 players or more at a given time. It could be even higher because many players dont bother to even que up since a match rarely starts. Arena accessibility would help as well. I dont mean being able to run over to an arena, I mean getting the arena interface open. If there were a counter that showed how many were in que and in battle, players could be encouraged to que knowing a match may actually start. Being able to que for 'first available' or 'any' or 'any heavyweight' could help as well since enough people to start a match que up but not for the same match. An arena notification channel and featured matches could also help. A featured match could be randomly selected and for those that have the notification channel enabled would see a message for how long till the match starts and how many players are qued. This could help focus players into joining the same match. Maybe a featured battle could offer some reward merits to all participants and a few extra to the winner. My hope is that the barren wastelands known as pvp zones could receive the cross server treatment as well. We already have cross server friends list, chat channels, and auction house so data transfer between servers already exists. I know this is a big ask and the game code may not even be capable but if i never suggest it then nobody will ever see it.

Can We Have a Default Zone 1 or 2 Option?
TheZag replied to Zeraphia's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I believe this is one reason why the instanced version of the MSR was added. Took me 5 months of advocating the instanced MSR before my server switched to it. Actually if @Apparition didnt hop server and run 1 on torch, i dont think they would have started using it. Your suggestion would be fine if the devs choose to implement it. But i suspect a fix for a problem that is only on some servers some of the time for some of the people would be a low priority fix. I dont say that to discourage your suggestion, but to let u know getting your server to use the instance MSR would probably be the faster solution. -
Kheldians: Why not make Cosmic Balance a Team Buff?
TheZag replied to Bill Z Bubba's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
A death every 38 seconds for over an hour. Thats my kind of run. My most epic run was on an ice/storm corruptor. With 2 emp defenders and an emp controller i still died 12 times. Didnt help that i kept dropping all my rain powers on myself and then hit fold space. I started a warshade build that looked promising but im not familiar with all of the powers so i think i need to just make one and wing it to 50 so i can actually figure out what powers i want. -
If you arents mids-ing, you arents trying. Several good options that people use in the previous posts. Use what you like. I prefer mids. Edit : guess i need to try harder to convey sarcasm through text next time. Back to the drawing board.

Kheldians: Why not make Cosmic Balance a Team Buff?
TheZag replied to Bill Z Bubba's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Wouldnt it mean that kheldians will fall further behind if their buff goes to the whole group? Im not against it, but its buffing everyone else, not the kheldian. -
I started reading your post and was saying to myself 'we could exemp down instead'. And then you said that too 😛 and even with exemp for contacts, there are technical hurdles to overcome. And since ouro covers this functionality it could make a good portion of ouro's functionality obsolete. If i could invite people to in progress non-taskforce ouro arcs, that would really open up ouro for me. I dont want to start a long arc in ouro and have friends want to join a few missions in. Even if it meant no merits for joining an in progress arc, i would be fine with it.

Here is the post about an echo plaza large scale memorial. I still suck at base building so i havent made a mock up.
-
I got u guys. 👍 all around. I had been wondering where Heraclea was for a few weeks and got the news around 5 days after he died. He will be missed. I had a suggestion for a hall of heroes structure to be added to echo plaza for all the fallen heroes that were placed ingame. If that were added it would be a perfect place as well with the greek/roman feel of the zone.

What is the dumbest way the game has confused you?
TheZag replied to ninja surprise's topic in General Discussion
I was doing some redside missions on a new character and all the missions were in mercy island, the same zone as the contact. Then i go to port oakes and it was the same, all the missions were in port oakes. Then i go back to mercy for dr graves second arc and there is no mission pointer for the door. Im clicking all around, opening and closing windows, talking to the contact again, running around the zone. I finally notice the mission was in port oakes, not mercy island. I spent 5 minutes trying to find a door on the wrong map. -
Set that gives AoE Immobs -Knock Back
TheZag replied to Solarverse's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I cant get behind an enhancement meant to stop other players knockback. Either the power should have KB protection or it shouldnt. I dont need people telling me my grav controller is wrong for not using it. -
Stalker Hide Power - Bug with the decimal point for the "AOE Defense"
TheZag replied to Lt Kira's topic in Bug Reports
U mean you dont want to cap AoE defense with 1 enhancement in hide? -
Set that gives AoE Immobs -Knock Back
TheZag replied to Solarverse's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
My bad on the wording there, i meant the existing kb>kd should just be put in knockback powers. It would probably be better to advocate for KB protection to be added to immobilize powers where it makes sense instead of a KB protection enhancement. There are a few other enhancements that dont make sense either. Like the stun one that has chance for -to hit, why do i need them to be less accurate while they arent able to do anything. And then why do i need KB protection added to a power that already has KB protection. So i think the route to go is ask for KB protection just be added to the power. And it makes more sense that gravity is able to hold you to the ground then fire. -
Set that gives AoE Immobs -Knock Back
TheZag replied to Solarverse's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Wouldnt KB>KD in your knockback powers accomplish the same thing as an enhancement that grants knock protection to an immobilize power? It would be especially strange for an immobilize enhancement to be virtually useless in some immobilize powers.
