  1. Give them to your Alts and/or friends. Freely. Organize and run events, or donate to others' events. Make a new Alt who is an Elf or a Santa, and drop one Candy Cane in to the pocket of each random player-character you meet.
  2. I thought she only sold the Mega Inspirations?
  3. Indeed. Babbage is -literally- content in the Task Force. Completion of the Task Force is certainly a motivating factor for what is likely to be just about every player, but considering how many players make a POINT of waiting to fight Babbage . . . it's a pretty significant portion of the Synapse.
  4. A lot of these threads/discussions always talk about things "costing more." I do really wonder if players are just being facetious, or if they've forgetting that there are fixed-price items. That fixed-price items are the original "economy," and that there is still much fixed-price stuff to buy. Double Inf might negatively impact the player market with inflation, but it sure as shit helps players afford everything ELSE that exists in the game. I'd still like to see the Homecoming Team's analyses from the data-mining which lead to this decision. Did fixed-price purchasing even factor in to it at all?
  5. Different folks and different strokes. As an option? As discussed in the other thread, from a technical standpoint, periodic Confuse would be much easier to implement and get roughly the same outcome. But obviously it would NEED to be optional. I can scarcely imagine the backlash if it became the standard modus operandi.
  6. Friendly Fire was brought up in another thread, where we did a little digging in to it with some consideration there too. https://forums.homecomingservers.com/topic/14039-challenge-mode-any-ideas/?tab=comments#comment-147088 https://forums.homecomingservers.com/topic/14039-challenge-mode-any-ideas/page/2/?tab=comments#comment-218668 It may be worth consulting.
  7. There still seems to be some confusion as to what actually happened on the technical side: There were two changes, not one. A bug related to Veteran Level Experience and Patrol Experience was patched, and A specifically designed and long-standing feature was removed. The first is completely and totally understandable. It was an exploit. Patched. Done deal. The -issue- arises in that a feature was also removed. Specifically a PvE feature, designed to encourage play at all levels. And, to the best of my understanding, the Homecoming Team removed this long-standing PvE feature specifically at address issues with the player market. While I can't say if the original thread author here is even fully aware of the depth of what took place, I certainly have a bias to sympathize with their feelings because of how that change played out. I understand -why- it happened, and given different context and implementation, I probably would have even agreed with it. But as it stands . . . feels shitty. Real shitty. Feels like the Homecoming Team saw a threat to the market, and shot wildly at the first target they could spot.
  8. Thanks, @Redlynne! Let's SHARE, people! (and thanks to those users who already did) https://archive.paragonwiki.com/w/images//d/dc/PortOakes_FortBlood.ogg https://archive.paragonwiki.com/w/images//c/c0/J13_faded.ogg
  9. Of course, when Coyot's Mage was remarking on their "armour," they were really just using the term synonymously with "body."
  10. Bumping in to someone at random is not at all the same thing as the "nudgers" (as they've been dubbed in this thread). The nudgers are the ones who make a concentrated effort to continuously force another player-character to move by repeatably making contact. Hence the opinion that there's something wrong with these nudgers and/or they're assholes.
  11. You know . . . come to think of it . . . I've -never- been on a team where someone used a Team Inspiration before! What gives? Or rather, who doesn't gives?
  12. You won't get any argument from me on that one.
  13. I think the idea is a good one, though "relative ease" is a bit of a tricky thing to suggest. While we're seeing epic strides being made with many of these bootleg City of Heroes servers these days, there's still an investment of energy and effort being put in. So! Let's help lighten the workload, Wavicle! Should the Homecoming Team deploy your suggestion, it would probably be encouraging for them to see at least some of the work already done. Can you give a few specific examples of how you would like to see some of the Contacts' OOC info presented?
  14. From a technical standpoint, it would require at least a little effort. From a "convincing the Homecoming Team that it's worthwhile" standpoint, it remains to be seen. https://forums.homecomingservers.com/topic/5699-npc-costume-pieces/
  15. Good likeness, other than the Right Hand of Doom being technological. Wasn't there a bulky stone fist with the new Asymmetric option?
  16. City of Heroes (and City of Villains, and Going Rogue, et cetera) have some really iconic music! . . . and, well, while some (most) of them use open source sound fonts . . . that doesn't mean that they weren't composed well! Like, really well! Ever since City of Villains Beta, I've had a spot in my heart-shaped tentacle core for the Fort Blood track. But I also really, really enjoy J13_Loop/Faded! How's abouts yous?

  18. Now that Everlasting has its own board https://score.savecoh.com/index.php/board,33.0.html May we request a forum moderator please move this thread to that board? Thanks in advance!
  19. Here's some poetic irony, after a sort . . . I'm in the queue, around 1000 of 2000 right now . . . but I have to leave to go see Endgame shortly. Endgame is ending my gaming tonight before it even gets to begin. CURSE YOU MARVEL! /e shakefist
