  1. Maybe not SS itself, but increased speed would be great. Make it out of combat speed, or only when they are in passive/follow mode.
  2. Just dipped into this thread and saw this. As a comparison..Borderlands 2. Totally LOVE that game and played it to death multiple times. But I only ever took ONE character beyond the 2nd Difficulty Tier (for those who dont know, the 'normal' diff game ends at about lvl 30ish, then you restart the game, but with baddies getting more hp, armour and shields. Then once Tier2 is finished, it restarts, again, with even TOUGHER baddies). The game in the hardest mode just was not fun at all for me, as the level of the 'challenge' just becomes totally stupid. The AI doesnt improve, theres no new tactics and powers...just EVERY single guy, boss to teh weakest minion, now becomes an utter bad of hp and armour and shields. In that regard, it is one thing that CoX does really (well mostly) well with increasing difficulty. The DA arcs, and newer mob types (I-tsoo, knives, BP, cot, even Cim;s) all feel, at least to me, much tougher than standard mob types, and do NOT just have more hp or damage.
  3. Which is a valid point. I agree. But.. WP, rad, bio, fire, regen and to an extent, elec, energy and ice ALL ask just what this 'need to turn off some toggles' idea is. Even shield, sr and nin have nothing like the amount of toggles, just to reach optimum performance for the set. To bring it up again, why else would the Senty version of Dark regen give +recovery? And that remix of the set has one less toggle (equal 1st for the most costly).
  4. I didnt mean concerning as in 30m was/wasnt enough. It does sound right. I meant 30 mil in a 'lifetime' of playing..vs 30mins farming. For a similar amount of money.
  5. Why are you ALWAYS training up in PD? I am pretty sure I have trained up there twice, EVER.
  6. I'd love the option to have Ninja Run's stance going for SS. With my HUGE titan weapons scrapper, ninja run looks awesome, with teh way teh sword is help and sorta dragged. Looks much more realistic and cool than the simple 'weapon held out' animation that plays with SS.
  7. Maybe teh option to sell merits would be a good thing. I wonder what the percentage of people who buy converters is, who actually only then go onto use said converters to craft whatever IO is selling well, in order to flog a bunch to people who DONT think 30m is nothing. Personally, I dont sell converters at all, I use them to build MY IOs, so I dont have to deal with the marketeers who enjoy shafting others and getting hordes of virtual money. 30m will get a heap of level 50 SOs, or some decent sets, but I think it is more concerning that 30m was your sg mates 'lifetime' savings, but a AE farmer could make that amount in like 30 mins (or whatever the average fire farm is).
  8. Does anyone know if the bonus xp amount is meant to be similar, for ALL the weeklies? Like teh same rough %, appropriate to your level? I cant quote any exact values, but it seems like teh Cap SF gives a much much small bonus, compared to others. Mr lvl 46ish blaster did Cap, will a 1mil xp bonus. My lvl 45 dom did SIlver Mantis..3 mil bonus! Now that could be because it is a higher level thing, but consider cap is max 20, and mantis is max 25...getting 3times the bonus seems excessive. Well, no, getting 1/3 for Cap seems a rip. Again, going more but remembered amounts than actual values, but I am almost sure Posi1 and 2 still give about 3 mil bonus xp at 45ish.
  9. I really like this idea. It would make SR different from other defence sets, and from just 'defence' itself. Might even make Elude worth taking, if it gave an increase chance of Critical Misses.
  10. The in game map is pretty good, and even better with Vidiot maps (for Zone maps), but for some missions (big cot caves, newer warehouse maps with multiple loops) can get painful, even if you pretty much know all the layouts. In those kinda situations, I often have my map up, as I play, to avoid backtracking. The trouble is, the map sits on a totally opaque black background, and needs to be a decent size to show most of the map. Even with a high resolution, that is a bit of screen real estate that is lost to teh void. A transparent map for InMission, just showing the floorplans, would still be easier to follow, but not take up 'more' of teh UI than it has too.
  11. I agree that mobs standing around ignoring someone that has just ran through said mob with a taunt aura going, is silly (due to already being at the aggro cap) but..no one is forcing anyone to Herd maps/mobs. No doubt it WAS epic to be able to herd up a full Dreck map, but it also would have been really really boring for everyone who wasn't the tank (even the tank actually, knowing there is literally no way to die would get old). Most maps (barring some outdoor ones) rarely have sections with more than 2-3 mobs in a small area anyway. Also, in those kinda areas, if a team really wants to herd them all, its a pretty simple matter of getting different team members to aggro different mobs, then all rushing back to the same corner or whatever. The above idea of 3times the aggro cap is not too much of a stretch (given most map layouts) but would fall down with Target Caps on powers. AS mentioned, only Judgements hit more than 16/20? anyway, and I think a full x8 mob is about 16 baddies. A level 50 team with multiple judgements would wipe a herd of 3 mobs in 3 seconds, but a sub 40 team would stuggle, with aoes only hitting 1/3 or less of baddies.
  12. Agreed. Having your 2nd major defence at 28 is just stupid. No other set gets screwed that way. Adding a lil end drain res would also fit the theme of the set.
  13. Just as it says. My Rogue was offered Unai and Crimson by Scratch. Low lvl vill was offered ones in Skyway etc. Not sure if teh blueside contact does the same.
  14. No thanks to the removal of ED from me. I didn't play back then, but as others here have said..it was basically super easy mode, all the time, for everyone. Perma hasten, double Stamina, attacks doing 200% damage.. I kinda compare that (roughly) to playing Warframe, where most 'enhancements' can go way way over 100% boosting, and the enemies can just scale up and up. Which really (in the context of WF) makes zero sense, since you are meant to be a super awesome space ninja, and yet are Maxed out at level 30 (sorta, since theres other stuff giving you more slots etc etc, so its more like a cap of 60+) while baddies can get to level 500! Same thing with CoX difficulty posts..we are, at 50, meant to be a super rare (sorta rare) Incarnate..and yet people are wanting +8 baddies..who would just BE the normal level 50 guys, but a higher level than we, as Incarnates, can actual;ly get too. So how do they get to 58?
  15. Maybe bots dont have the best DPS, BUT they are also one of teh best for taking down AVs solo. All those lasers just pile on the -regen like mad. But yes, Repair sucks.
  16. Cant we do this already? Pretty sure it works that way, just that after an Oro arc 'ends' you go back to your actual level. Then its just a matter of heading back to Oro and picking the next arc.
  17. I always thought COnfront needed an extra effect. It is basically never taken, and a single target taunt is not that useful. Red's above suggestions are pretty cool, maybe even a small self +damage, as you taunt a target and psyche yourself up for a fight.
  18. The AS on Fiery Melee is also a big load of crap, at least to me. It is the animation for Blazing Bolt, and, fittingly, actually LOOKS like your toon is trying to take a crap.
  19. I am not sure about this. Is there really any advantage to these powers not needing a target selected? They are all combat openers, as I see it, and as such, your just need to hit Tab once on approach, and bam. A much much better addition would be a cone range marker of some kind. Also.. I MUCH prefer cones with a target. Any power that needs a target, as soon as you are in range, you hit the power, and it will go off, hitting that target 100% of the time (unless you miss, naturally). On teh other hand, the nature heal, I find it quite easy to 'miss' healing a team mate with, because they may move, I may move, lag, etc etc. As you sat Oed, all these cones have huge radii...so is it really that much of a hassle to target one guy and hit the entire mob, WITHOUT having to worry about lag or toon facing?
  20. Kinda agree. I had a NB Stalker waaay back when I started playing on CoX (I had vills, and not CoH, back when they were seperate purchases). Granted, that was a long time ago, before the ATOs and stalker buffs, but I did IO my stalker (not with super max purp sets or procs, more mid rangeish), but from what I remember..NB was not really good damage at all. Granted, this is playing redside (longbow, archnos) but it really felt weak, even more so when compared to my Kat scrapper (also before ATOs, but he had normal IOs too). Obviously all teh new stuff will help there, especially the stalker changes. Would it be possible to make GD 100%crit on the FIRST target hit, and less on any others? In a similar way to how some toggles get the big % from target one, and then less?
  21. I assume he means like Loot Boxes in a heap of other games. Paying (usually real money) for a random chance (like 0.00001%) at some super awesome amazing bit of kit. Which technically we already kinda have in SUper Packs.
  22. I think both sides (for and against new IOs) have valid points. Sure, 'no' IOs are expensive..if you play a lot/farm. For a more casual player, 500mil is still a lot. Not to mention how desirable certain ones could be, like a status prot IO. Obviously we already have Incarnate powers, which are awesome but also functionally identical to another players incarnate powers (besides the color). Instead of simply more enhancments with flat bonus effects (a 10% acc legenendary, when SO many normal sets give acc?) I reckon ones that give special powers could be more fun. Like signature attacks (state's lightning etc), nothing super crazy like Judgement, just decent, flashy, special melee or ranged attacks, that are more fancy than the patron/epic ones.
  23. Actually I prefer the displayed Tics. The sentinel fire armour, has a power with NO tic (even though the power info literally says..a tick of xx heal per 5 secs or whatever), and I find that really annoying, because the power becomes basically just +regen instead (you cant actually see teh health bar move up in strict increaments).
  24. I'd like teh search function to have a button, clickable even if you are NOT the team leader.
  25. A giant Nerf Bat staff!
