So my first toon when I got back was a sm/bio scrapper..cause they were both new sets. I got him to 28 and sheleved him for a bit, only recently breaking him back out. Now I am 38 and just..curious what people think of the set. Savage Melee that is. Bio I am all good with, and any interactiosn between the two. I have also looked at Frosticus' savage guides and threads. My thoughts so far.. For a start..the Blood Frenzy mechanic. Its nice, and can certainly notice the end reduction and rech. What I dont like is the Exhaustion thing. Other 'gimmick' sets like StJ and Staff have similar stacking buffs, which then get used via your finisher type powers. Which is all good. But savage..you get penalised for waiting to use powers at the 'best' time? I guess Psi melee is the only set thats similar, and the Insight buff was just damage, so you dont notice a sudden lack of +rech and end red. Onto the attacks.. They all look really cool. The power info is utterly shite, as others have pointed out. The actual damage values NEED to be shown in the description and just in the enhancement slotting screen. Mostly, I like the attacks, the odd ones out are Hemorrhage and Savage Leap. Hem just feels...odd? I like it, but I feel if the damage was more front loaded it would be much more useful. Especially since the set does NOT have a 'proper' superior/extreme damage attack (and most other sets have at least 1, if not 1 of each)> I know SL IS superior but.. Savage Leap. Cool and all. But do I really have to be at max range (range indicator PLEASE) for it to actually DO anything? It just seems so weak unless I make sure I am at teh range limit, and even then..the up front damage just isnt there for a supposed superior attack. And the superior portion is meant to be the first whack, from the power info. Now I know other threads talk about making Hem and SavL proc monsters, and then they are super awesome sauce. But...if a power needs a load of procs to actuallly be decent (we are talking about the last 2 attacks in teh set..usually the best, or very good at least)..I think it is a bit of a fail. So basically..is it worth using both powers without a stack of procs? Is it worth taking Hem at all, or using it with less than 5 stacks?

Power customization: Arm Cannon(s)
Razor Cure replied to Alpha-One's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I think the wrist mounted type would work almost perfect for Dual Pistol. Aside from ExeSHoit and PiercingROunds. -
Really grippy tires. Tire.

Agreed! Also, may not be at ALL possible but.. I know we can get the power analyzer power, to view stats on baddies but that has a few let downs. First, I simply ALWAYS forget to grab one. Second, its useless in a team. Third, the baddies can still be attacking/hurting you. As an example, in Warframe, you can enter like a testing construct, and spawn whatever mob you want, and test stuff, while being Untouchable. Something like that would be awesome, especially given how often power info is inaccurate. That would let us test specific powers, damage, buffs, debuffs etc, on ANY mob we want, without needing to go find them, or deal with vanishing test dummies.

Also..new Blast and Armour sets..Unicycle Assault and Armour! Perk atop your very own, fully customizable unicycle, while engaging in heroic combat! Hurl insults, water baloons, plates, juggling balls and even CHAINSAWS at unruly villains! All while using your precise control of the unicycle to avoid damage. The Unicycle provides a movement and range boost, as you are faster than footsloggers, and can see over objects. Offensive capabilities have not been ignored either, as running into foes can knock them down, while knives can be bolted onto the pedals, allowing you to scythe through groups of villains!

Is UX suppose to mean something? An emote I guess? Regardless, it you find a huge portion of an AT to be 'shit'..WHY are you planning it? When you think its shit? Makes a lot of sense. And if you aren't playing it..why does it matter to you? I don't find playing my emp to be either a chore or shit. Or my kin corr (and that was fine back before aoe sb).

No warning is pretty crappy. Unless you(or whoever) was seriously going nuts on a hate diatribe or somethign, a warning should be the first thign. Otherwise you end up with stupidity like the Warframe (i think its somewhat fixed) chat, when people would ask questions, and the obvious and correct reply, would contain a would that the Bots didnt like, so you got chat banned, for trying to help.

So..their Secondary? You know, the non primary? Let's just go ahead and make vbery buff/debuff an always on pbaoe, so ALL we have to do is attack! Wont that be fun. Oh and in those secondary armour sets, all those click powers (poor Regens, huh?) are such a drag. They stop me from attacking. Let's make them all endless too! Again, no. Things like this were something that could have been changed during Beta, way back when. Changing it NOW, just cause some people find buffing a chore (why are you playing support sets then?)?
-
Yes! I like this idea!
-
Time to react? Enter mission, throw anti mez on, reapply as 3rd/4th mob is dying. Repeat. It is only a reaction if you are to lazy to actually use the powers in teh first place. It's like waiting for something to get hit and take damage, then asking them..'oh that hurt, you want me to USE my def/res buffs on you?' Let's just make every buff an Aoe with no end cost because it is an effort to use powers!

Can We Talk About Accolade Click Powers?
Razor Cure replied to Derek Icelord's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Demonic/Magus takers all of..maybe 20 mins to get. And thats if you are hunting Hordlings from 0-100. Its even quicker if you are about lvl 20ish and have done Posi1 and 2. FoN (the +rech one, i forget what it is hero side) IS much more effort too get, but I never usually bother with that. And the shitty Crey one? May as well just have that as a P2W power! -
15 mins? No way. There are enough lazy ass emps/pain toons around. I know there are 'different' ways too play support, but to me, if you have a buff (like..took it as a power), then use the damn thing. I have seen so many slack support players, who just cant buff, ever. Like a fire/emp troller..who just took his Auras from empathy. Obviously that is an extreme example, as the guy is clearly just an idiot (i told him to just make a fire/rad instead) but others like.. An fire/emp corr. WHo during a MASTER itf, did not buff anyone. Ever. A something/cold corr, who didnt give out his shields (in spite of having them) fighting Bobcat and Neuron on TingMage..because..'i should just pop a few purples if i am worried about being hit.' I already sorta-kinda-not really dislike aoe buffs, like SB..because now I CANT without my buffs from fools who dont buff me. Maybe 2 mins, at most. That or give single target anti mez buffs SOME kinda self buff, to encourage twits to use them.

Incarnate Powers - Lore and Judgement rework
Razor Cure replied to krj12's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Agreed..bad, bad idea. Giving melees (who already have many ways to become more tanky via IOs), another way to be extra godlike (like a invul getting huge psi res/def) just sounds awful. Aggro cap? Tanks are already getting that in aoes. Increased range? Only the outdoor maps (mostly) would need that. Blindness? Most melees get +per. SO many other people have tactics. Few things in game have stealth or -per powers. -
Improving the Utility of Sleeps
Razor Cure replied to Blackfeather's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I was thinking about Sleeps the other day. Out of all AoE sleeps (single target ones are fine, being tied with damage in PsiBlast, or having a huge magnitude in mind control), I think Mind Control gets screwed the worst. The elec sleep, as mentioned, is totally awesome, and easily the best. The sonic blast one isnt great, but its still nice utility. The pant and eath control sleeps are also extra utility, and both sets have great and varied hard controls to back them up. Mind control..well, I think the whole set nets a tweak really. There is a lack of hard controls, with only the one AoE Hold, as TK is finnicky, Fear is nice but shares similar issues to teh sleep, and teh AoE confused gets royally shafted compared to SoC. I like the idea of a sleep lasting a certain amount of damage is done to the target, but no idea how hard that would be to do. What about a slow/-rech/chance to confusion, on targets that are woken. I mean, how many times do you wake up, totally alert and aware, full of energy? It would make aoe sleeps actually somewhat useful, and a chance for confusion would really help for Mind COntrol (since MC has such a long rech). -

Proposed Unstoppable Changes
Razor Cure replied to Call Me Awesome's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I cant remember where I read it, maybe on the Live forums, but someone suggested giving Unstoppable a sorta repel/kb effect, to show that you are in fact..Unstoppable, and pushing mobs out of the way (picture the Juggernaught stomping through a crowd). I think something like that would be a fitting and unique mechanic. -
The Mastermind Wishlist: Completed, Uncut, and En Masse
Razor Cure replied to Monos King's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Ok, reading that reply Minos. Again, that is an issue WITH the pets, not Masterminds as a whole. ANd..I (and you) already covered this, in saying some of the pet sets need to be brought in line with the others. That has nothing to do with the ATOs..with or without them, those sets need some tweaking. Again..in almost all cases that is cause by the worse-of pets. ALso, every single At has combos that are good, middling and bad. Its like saying that cause an Emp/Arc fender has crappy damage, the 2 ATOs should be folded into the AT. Please explain (try to..I feel I am missing something here) what I am not getting..but SOME of the MM Primaries being lacking doesnt make the whole AT borderline bad, or justify just taking on huge buffs to the inherent..for free. They come at a cost in SLots, like everything else. An EM brute (if they still exist) is gonna want oodles of + rech from gamblers and other sets, but just because EM is basically shite without good rech, it doesnt mean brutes all suddenly should get +rech thrown into their inherents. Just to state it again..the poor performing sets SHOULD get tweaked, to bring them in line with the better ones. If this (crazy) idea of combining the auras into the AT went ahead..that would just push the good sets even more ahead, as those already have the base stats present.- 152 replies

The Mastermind Wishlist: Completed, Uncut, and En Masse
Razor Cure replied to Monos King's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Basically just tweaks for every primary, like the ones you talk about in the OP. I still dont think MMs are held back. Aside from the pets in incarnate content (which has already been fixed right, so they are all your level?). What? How? Tweaking ONE power in each set, so that it takes Pet Rech IO sets? That is hardly difficult or controversial. A bit better now you can get the Rech sets in 'normal' pets, but still should be done. So you arent counting the other uniques..meaning MMs have this totally AWFUL tax of..TWo whole slots. In order to beef up pets. Wow, 2 slots, that is a harsh tax allright... Sorry for the sarcasm but..seriously? May as well bitch about how the 'tax' for a miracle and numi unique is so bad (two slots and all). Also..not sure why the MM ato's would be anything like the scrapper/stalker one, especially considering those two are the flat out best (especially the stalker one) in the game. But even then, do you NEED those ATOs? Sure dont. No AT does. Are they great to have? Totally. Again..setting aside 2 slots from a entire build, to get some amazing stat boosts you cant get anywhere else, calling it a tax, and claiming they need to be folded into the AT itself? Come on.- 152 replies

How can we buff poison? (Discussion/Suggestions)
Razor Cure replied to Bartacus's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Maybe NB could be a PBaoe? Or rename it too, like you are more releasing poison, rather than breathing it out. I know other threads have talking about ally buffs on the caster, but Poison's would make more sense than most. An antidote, I CANT use on myself? Wtf is that about? Also, the 2 debuffs..the splash is nice (way better than nothing) but the radius is stupid small, and as other said, the values just arent enough on non fenders. Discounting 'proper' single target debuffs (sonic siphon etc), every other aoe debuff has a much bigger radius. What about Weaken/Envenom have increased splash effect/radius/chaining (infection spread chance) WHEN said target is under the effect of Noxious Gas? That would encourage being in melee to poison as many people as possible. I also like the 'exploding' corpse idea. Perhaps a low chance to explode, with some toxic dot and the explosion itself is an aoe debuff? That would really highlight pilling the toxins on a mob, till they cant handle anymore. ParaPoison..at LEAST give it a high damage dot (like abyssal gaze), perhaps with another slow/-rech hammered in (since you know, they cant move). -
The Mastermind Wishlist: Completed, Uncut, and En Masse
Razor Cure replied to Monos King's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
It is? So how did my MMs function at high levels before ATOs came along? Granted, they werent as tough, but I still got along fine. ANd yes, pets being at lower levels in incarnate trials can be painful, but since those are never solo, there is almost always gonna be external buffs/heals around. Does that mean all ATOs are a tax? Cause they all (most) have awesome buffs. Like the stalker is paying a 'tax' for BU to recharge, a scrapper pays a tax to increase their crit chance, etc etc. EVERY enhancement slotted, that is not doing +dam/acc/end/rech/etc is a tax..you a getting something else out of it as a trade off. Trading 6 (i think? 2 atos, 2 pet, 2 pet rech set) slots to make my pets WAY tougher (no other power set can get such a boost for just 6 slots)..sign me up. If that is a tax, I don't mind paying it at all. Not fair to those MMs, yes. To Mms in general? Less so. As I said, I'd rather pets improved, which includes all sets having teh ability to use every Pet unique.- 152 replies
