  1. Those numbers for time spent playing 50s...with and without Fire Brutes. It jumps from like 2.5 mil to 14 with Fire included. Seriously. If that isnt a sad sad metric about how many of they are farming, I dont know what is.
  2. The DA arcs are all really cool. There is also a LOT redside I really like, some new, some old. The 20ish one where you become a prophet for the Luddites is great, so is Westin Phipps arc is GV, Worst..easily Unai Kemen. His missions are just a complete load of shite. No variation, just 'click 20 ruptures' again and again and again!
  3. The first Sig arc is the best I have found. Sure, you can only do it once a week (after doing it twice, back to back), but if you have a lot of alts (who doesnt?), it is a winner. Average about 6-8 mins, 20 merits. Even better for alts you dont play much, as a way to horde merits for other toons. I have 3 current 'sig arc' toons, and thats all they do. They dont even have any enhancements. ALl you need is SS (not even that really) and a tray with a few purps, a yellow, and lotsa reds.
  4. repeating what I just said in another thread..the chain powers, and the heal especially, NEEDING a target to work...is absolutely idiotic. Even in a set with a pet.
  5. As some people have said, Redside was always my fav too. I started there (when the games were still seperate) and much much prefer the content. But as others also say..it can be like pulling teeth finding a team, even for a Weekly SF. I think some of the 'blueside superioty' comes down too... It came first. An obvious one, but a big one. Before side switching, the Blue ATs work MUCH better as a team. Sure, red teams can kick ass too..but you only have to look at pre-IO RSF, and teams basically requiring a stone tank buffed by 5+ corrs....compared to preIO STF..which needed..well, ANY tank buffed by a single emp. Blueside content, especially lower (maybe not counting the hollows and newer stuff) is just a walk in the park, compared to red that gets Longbow and Archnos, ALL the way to 50. The utterly ridiculous prevalence of Farms blueside, especially in Unai 'pick any of my missions and farm it!' Kemen. Redisde, there was only TV farms vs Nemesis (much harder than council). The one midrange farm Redside ever had, the Cuda mission, got a big fat nerf. But those awesome devs didnt seem to care about an entire arc full of farm after farm. A point in the game (i forget the exact time, but it might have been between issues 12-16. Maybe) when Redisde suffered from utterly awful lag. Like..having to quit the game and relog in between paper missions lag. This went on for at least a good 3 months, and was never even acknowldged as an 'issue.' At that stage, I still only had CoV, but if I had both, sure as sure I would have been ditching redside for a long time. Patron vs Epic powers. Epics? Oh here, heroes, have them free. Its all good! Patrons? Oh no, you HAVE to do this arc, with some super hard elite boss fights (seraphina, back before IOs? not fun. Mako and his energy fonts? Not fun.). Sure, not we can at least just get the badge mission and unlock that, but come on. I would LOVE to see blueside suddenly get a mission arc for patron access (and seriously, it would make sense, performing some super special task to get new powers)..and even more for the bitching that would result. RSF vs STF. Even more so before IOs and side switching. Now, it is better, but rsf STILL requires a fuckhuge story arc to be completed, before being able to start it. Does it make sense? yes, it really does..you earn Recluse's respect, so he gives you an awesome mission! Blueside? Nah, screw that, they dont need to do anything to get trusted with saving the city.
  6. Super, super subjective. What is fun for others is totally awesome sauce for someone. That said, the bad sets, from a numbers point of view, are often the unfun ones..cause they just dont do enough. You forgot the biggest (to me) issue..all those cones having different ranges and arcs. ANd sure, Buckshot SHOULD technically have a shorter range than a bullet..but if logic comes into it, how it one gun firing bullets, buckshot, slugs, grenades AND a fkamethrower? Beanbag should get the Sentinel Tesla treatment, and be a decent attack. Every other set (bar elec) has a 3 power TS attack chain. Perhaps with a -end/revocery, since beanbags literally wing you so bad you cant move. Why does this NOT have a lethal Dot bleed effect? Same with Gash. More, in that case.
  7. An example to illustrate how utterly annoying Rejuv circuit is. I am level 14, doing the Kill Veles mission. I have my Galvanic pet out, standing at a corner. I Drop Faraday cage, then Empowering on GS, to buff myself, then pop some Lucks, and aggro Veles. He runs up to me (by himself), and I start attacking. After a few seconds, he summons his grave knight, and they both land a few hits, so i need to heal myself. But can I do that, without DROPPING my target on him? Of course not. That would make too much sense. Since Veles has ME targeted, and this 'well tested' heal cant target self..that does nothing. So I select GV, and heal myself. Then I try to keep attacking, figuring 'hey, Veles came into range all ALONE, so surely GS is debuffing him.' But oh no. Since I cant command GS, and the AI is retarded, he is attacking the grave knight pet, worthlessly. So I have to switch targets, back to Veles..and then BACK to GS, to buff and heal myself. All while solo. Now I have no doubt the power is less annoying in teams..but solo? And then buffs like Empowering and Energizing..have teh exact same stupid issue. If those powers were just ally (and never self buffs) buff, I wouldnt care. But since they can affect yourself, why make it so stupidly finnicky to USE them solo?
  8. Rejuv Circuit. Decent power, with some REALLY annoying mechanics. I was just doing DFB, and it works good when say..I have Tinder targeted (you know, so I can attack him too), and because Tinder is aggro'd to teh meat shield, the heal starts on him and chains around. But JUST as many times, when the boss/baddies attention is on someone else, meaning that I turn 180 degrees and start the heal from a flying blaster 25 foot behind us. I cant think of a heal that is this..annoying and clunky to use. AUra heals, just fire off whenever, with no target needed. Dark/Kin heals..fire off a Target (sure, you can have a team mate selected and THEY switch target just as you fire it, meaning the heal goes walkabouts, but the ability to fire it direct from a baddie means that basically never need happen) so you always KNOW where its starting. As others have said..the heal is tricksy solo too, with you needed to hit the pet (which is FORCING us to take the pet. Even if its a good pet, it should be optional), and even in a duo, I had issues with my team mate standing too far away. Can we PLEASE have this start from yourself, if you dont have a team mate selected?
  9. Again..Time, and in particular..Farsight..say hello. Long rech? Lol. Its perma 2 levels after you get the power! Maxed out? Maybe you are talking to the people who want FULL self buffing ally shields, but I did shall small amounts. Even best Case, sonic fender..with dispersion, epic shield, tough and the 2 +res IOs..you still only cap smash/lethal. Everything else is gonna be under. And wtf does having external holds have to do with self buffing shields? Unless, you know..they go roll a /Time corr. Or a sonic. Or traps. Or cold. Cause all those sets HAVE protection and damage. I also find it rather hilarious you talked about power creep above..and yet your MM Buffing thread goes and claims that the entire MM AT should get those super powerful ATOs folded into the inherent, just because you call using 4-6 slots on awesome buffs...a Tax. You didnt just ask for the ATos to be changed, or the sets altered to make slotting easier..you just flat out WANT extra resist/def (funny..which is what ally buffs doing self effects would be) for nothing. Yeah, you are so right, not power creep at all.
  10. I see what you are saying, Monos but..and a big but..Time/Nature both say a big, fat Hello. Both those sets dont have to play any different, just because they are solo. Therm/Cold/Sonic all have more than 3 powers they cant use at all when solo. Even Kin, with my fav buff ever (sb) at least has tools (siphon speed and transfernce) to provide somewhat similar buffs to themselves. Like..Nature and Time? Funny that. And sure, Sonic and FF get bubbles, but no other self buffs. Again, to me, a slight self buff to these sets should be more to encourage people to use the very powers that are meant to be supporting a team, than to make everyone tanks.

  12. GOD YES. ALl doors, especially subs and sewer doors, should still be clickable. Make the trams the same way?
  13. Is this new?! Or did he previously only sell 'normal' SO's? Also..is there gonna be a Redside version of this store too? Do 'normal' mission bosses have a chance too?
  14. This. I agree that letting cold toons buff themselves would be totally awesome, and possible overpowered (especially with patron shields + IO def builds). On the other hand, I dont think self buffing would make ALL support sets stupid awesome. Sure, a therm could get some nice resists with self shields + epic shield + tough/IOs...but the set has NOTHING else to stop incoming damage. Just one decent heal. Same with SOnic..but even worse, with no heal at all (but mez prot is nice). FF would get crazy levels of def...but thats basically all FF does anyway. And they can already get a lot of defence. The obvious comparisons are Nature and Time..that both have great ally buffs and all work on Self. I think most of the elec ones do too? Another thing self buffs would do is encourage people to actually take the shields. Make it so the self buff (small, as Wav suggested) only hits you when you buff others. Or perhaps..just taking the power gives a small bonus, but they you get a bit bigger one, as an incentive to actually use buffs on a team.

  16. The first arc from Shadowstar awarded xp and merits, but the 2nd one (that I got), Scary Monsters, only gave xp, no merits at all.
  17. Specifically for the Rikti and Nem invasions. I just did a Nem league with 12 people, and the GM spawned in about 5 mins. Then, a league of 17, fighting for 10 mins..and nothing. Totally annoying to have no way of knowing the player/time threshold to spawn him. Same for rikti and heavies. Can we get some (or is there?) info about this?

  19. Someone (I forget the thread name) tried swapping some animations to do this, and got some odd results. It might require tweaking the animations themselves.

  21. So I am trying a Nova/Dwarf 'Shade. With almosthing nothing slotted in human stuff, but things like gamblers and procs. Firstly. Stamina, and health. They provide NO benefit while in the forms, right? Do procs (miracle etc) in them also do nothing, or only for teh 120 secs after being human? Nova. Is it worth slotting that for End Mod? The shifter proc? Guassian proc? A new end mod +heal proc? Dwarf. Again, end mod, or no? Procs in other powers: Would the +resist uniques in CJ be always on, or again, only after being human?

  23. That isn't really a justification for MassC to pretty bad. Are we also gonna say SoC needs a nerf? Love this idea. Would be perfect for setting a mob up with the sleep, then using Terrify for some damage and debuffing, and leaving them still stunned for a bit.
  24. With all the Corona related drama going on, it can be a great time to log on, don your favourite tights, and run around as a super powered pixel. I was just reading in the Help chat, about some person who logged in for the first time in 2 weeks, being unable to find a team. They had been dealing with kids and isolation and stuff, and were a bit sad they could not get some team mates. Now I know we already have double xp, but I was thinking something a bit more..like 2.5 xp, of increased salvage/recipe drop rates, increased merits for Story Arcs, above and beyond what we have now. The highest bonus would be if you were solo (since a lot of people may be super busy in peak times, due to extra family demands from the crisis), decreasing up to say..4 people on a team. DFB would see no improvement (since its for big teams anyway), nor would 40+(maybe?) content, or AE. This would help people who just jump on for a few mins here and there.
