Farming will always be around, and AE can still be useful pre-50, but this is gonna put a real crimp in some folks’ styles (*cough @Ukase)…
-
Keep in mind that DA is +melee defense and +lethal defense. In my mind it will work better with a positional defensive system (like SR or ninjitsu) than with a typed defense (like Willpower's defensive powers) since it only covers one of the lethal/smashing duo.

The one that hits me is: Architect Entertainment [Focused Feedback: Architect Entertainment] Characters at Level 50 can no longer earn experience towards the Veteran Level rewards (Veteran Badges, Incarnate Threads, and Empyrean Merits) from Architect Entertainment content; this does not apply to Incarnate Slot Experience which can still be earned in AE. This change does not apply to Developer's Choice arcs, which have always gives full rewards and will continue to do so. Fixed a bug with Experience Boosters granting too much experience in non-Dev Choice AE missions. 1.5XP was giving double XP and 2XP was giving triple XP. These have been corrected to the intended 1.5x and 2x, respectively. Is this the end of Zombie Shakespeare AE farming?

I rarely play tankers for a couple of reasons, but the main one is that I never feel I'm at risk unless I made a particularly crappy build. And if I'm not at risk, I might as well be playing solitaire (and cheating at it!).

Pronoun trouble!

I guess I owe you a better answer than that. I'm generally not going to toss 100s of an item on the /AH unless I feel pretty good that I can sell it by the next time I log in. Specifically, my Achilles Heel alt gets logged in about once a week! I do ask myself how many players are making alts, and occasionally I will lock down a market to get an idea as to how many I can expect to move in a day. I'm happy to say that it feels like there is more demand nowadays than there was a few months ago. But the real issue is going to be supply, since there is an infinite amount of it. Let's look at LotG, which I have to accept some blame for. Now for a long time, I have been heavily involved in what I call the defense complex. I generally have the lowest cost to create just about anything through recipes like Karma or Serendipity or whatever. Yet I cannot stop anyone from making profitable LotG recharges from any random lvl 25 recipe in bulk. That's random, and I tip my hat to those people because it's frankly mind numbing work that gets them what they want -- inf! The macro event that is causing me the most grief, however, is the hang up on opening super packs and claiming items from Character Items.

Considering you can buy three converters for 1mm inf (via merits), you're in the black!

Of course.

My Forever Scrapper Contest (part 1b of 4, Scrapper Secondaries)!
Yomo Kimyata replied to Yomo Kimyata's topic in Scrapper
I'm rather surprised that Dark Armor is so low on the survey, which is wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong as a ping pong ball. I'm also considering doing a 4-scrapper bracket of the "worst" choices. -
crafting Craft & Convert: Detailed Step-by-Step Guide

That's one way to go, and I've done that before. If you check back to see which bids fill the quickest, you have a better target of things that no one else wants. -
The Bestest Bruter - Regenners please help fix
Yomo Kimyata replied to Bill Z Bubba's topic in Brute
It being the 4th of July, I pulled out one of my MERICA! alts, a broadsword/regen brute who I had dinged 50 with a while back. I ran the Mender arc to get my alpha and it was a slog. So I spent a little time actually working on the build. And I discovered something that I am embarrassed that I haven't exploited before: Darkest Night is monstrously overowered. I play almost all scrappers nowadays, so I wasn't familiar with it. But sure as Shipoopi, I'm walking through +4/x8 missions and neither my blue bars or green bars are moving one bit. -
The Bestest Bruter - Regenners please help fix
Yomo Kimyata replied to Bill Z Bubba's topic in Brute
I just put this together quickly for a scrapper. No idea how it would play because *I HATE ELEMENTAL SWORDS!!!* -
If I were running a GM GM conspiracy, that's exactly what I would say... It's 8 missions via Ouro, then a 9th to finish and exit from. I cannot imagine it would take more than a half hour to run through the first eight on a character who knew what was happening. Maybe I'll set up my idle 50s with this queued up.

I do not know to what you refer, I am sure! The other day I saw someone in ?General? post a reference to that thread. It made my jar-shaking heart grow three sizes.

Interestingly enough, I find this only happens when a spawn has three or more illusionists. Never with Master illusionists. And it usually happens right away, certainly before any of the illusionists can attack more than once (or so it seems). Both Flash and Blind have a chance for higher mag hold, but the odds of three of them hitting me at once at all should be slim, and that only gets them to mag 9 hold. Not worth parsing through combat logs for though; that's what break frees are for.

This is the interesting part!

My supergroup used to do this on Live all the time. I don't think we ever did more than four at a time, but two was pretty standard. It just takes some preparation.
-
That's almost certainly other players spawning Kronos. You can spawn it in many (but not all!) zones by doing the Crimson arc in Ouro (or through Crimson directly). When you finish the mission that leads up to the ambush, don't hit the exit button but use one of your many teleportation powers to exit into a different zone (Ouro portal works).

I'd say farming, either regular or AE tickets. Just like the good old days when I used to go street sweeping in Dark Astoria to get alchemical silver!

I wanted to resurrect this thread because it seems to be getting worse. Fewer people are producing supply, and more people are blaming fictitious causes. If you are bummed out there isn't enough supply, do something about it! I'll help you if I can. But I, personally, have little to gain at this point from spitting out thousands of IOs for a 2mm+ profit each. And furthermore, you're probably better off not instadumping your holdings. But to each their own!
-
Clearly you just need to level up to 52. Geesh! All this whining!

Deep exhale. There are always arguments about how to best monetize merits. They are a gift from above that rewards you for playing the game. There seems to be a number of approaches. 1. (and vastly popular) Spend merits on an item. Instasell item (offer at 1 inf or 5 inf or whatever). Move on with your life. It's not that difficult to figure out what items are seemingly the most profitable. Converters are a popular choice, since you will generally be able to sell them in mass quantities (frequently to me!). 2. Spend merits on an item. Offer item at a price that does not sell instantly but will sell soon(tm). 3. Spend merits on an item. Transform said item into another more profitable item and sell it, either instantly or soon(tm). 4. Spend merits on an item and *gasp* use it! Then there is the question of how much you want to sell and how quickly. I wouldn't want to dump 10,000 merits worth of unslotters in a day, for example. Personally, my merits go to converters for personal use.
