  1. A string walks into a bar and orders a beer... "Hey, read the sign, we don't serve strings beer in this bar," says the bartender, thumbing over his shoulder. "Aw, geez, be a pal and give me a beer, I've been walking all day and my threads are just beat!" The string replies, tired and increasingly agitated. "Beat it! We don't serve strings beer in this bar, I told you!" yells the bartender. At this the string is distraught and storms out. Outside, he stomps about, cursing and angry. Suddenly, a thought occurs to him! Spinning about and mussing his end, the intrepid string sways back into the bar, nonchalantly. "Barkeep, I'll have a beer," he smiles, sidelong. "Aren't you that string that was just in here?!" The bartender exclaims. "No sir, I'm afraid not."
  2. So. My main was an invuln tank, still is. First toon I remade when HC came back. Here's how he sits, Resists %'s S/L: 112 E/N: 67 F/C: 87 Toxic: 94 Psi: 71 Defense With saturated invinc: 50%+ to all types but psionic. 50% DDR. Cardiac alpha. No barrier. No maneuvers. No unstop. I've had no end issues since lvl 7. While attacking the proc from ATO is always at 1, if not 2, resist are always at 80-90% all in combat. I rarely use dull pain, rage crash is unnoticed, I never use rebirth and my health doesn't budge. Built to exemp, he maintains most of that down to 30, and at 15 still has 60%+ resist to most and defense in the high 30's. Exemp or maxed invuln is going to be the most survivable at all levels, even when both are built properly, and it does this with no maintenance needed from clickies. Don't get me wrong, Rad is an amazing set, but when it's time to ProperTank, invuln is the gold standard.
  3. Did someone say MATH?! Are you SURE you want maths?!
  4. All content is endgame content, one can exemplar to any team and run with them. If you want to mission at lvl 50, there are task forces, trials, sig arcs, tip missions, story arcs, radios and ouro.
  5. @Piecemeal I now formally request alternate graphics for energy blast: TROUSER TOSS Why energy blast?! TROUSER KNOCKBACK!
  6. I heard that hamis were convertible at band camp.
  7. Ready? Sun's out, guns out 💪 Done.
  8. Yomo has endorsed Rubber Chicken Axe. And 🥧
  9. Oh, uh, just for the record, no vote. Twice. Sorry, I know you like this idea, but it's cringe inducing. Just, no.
  10. Yomo has endorsed my desire to have a Rubber Chicken skin added for all weapons. I now require Rubber Chicken war mace.
  11. Heh, im sceptical. Perceptual bias is a fiendishly enigmatic little trickster. Please provide a sample data set that may be analyzed for information regarding drop rate, XP and inf gain.
  12. KB to KD in bonfire is amazing, true game changer. Much love for that enhance!
  13. Straight forward, really. Here's how I make toons, Concept first, always. Has to be awesome, unique and fun. Sometimes I have the concept before I even go to mids. Sometimes I'm wanting a new alt and I browse power sets and the magic moment.... Concept jumps to mind. Either way, now I know the AT and powers, as well as the name. Check the name, make sure it's available. I know you didn't ask for this info, but it's important. Why? Because next step is Mids. I explore the build. I plan powers and slots, walking it through. What will I have by 10? 20? 3? What io's and sets to make the play fun? I get a rough-cut build up to around 35 and I have a costume in mind also. Here's why I say all this: does the toon need incarnates at 50 to flesh it out? To fill gaps? Will I only play at 50, no exemping or will I want to exemp? This is crucial, for example my Kat/SR scrap does not exemp, so her alpha, cardiac, is integral, she needs it. On the other hand, my DB/EA stalker was running at +4 by lvl 29 and can exemp easily, so incarnates just came as I played for fun, no really urgency as she didn't need them. Each toon is different, some may need incarnates for build viability urgently. Do those first. Others? If they don't necessarily even need incarnates, then it happens when it happens.
  14. I posted, on live, the exact math and massive economic crash that would happen, it was exactly as hyper describes. I also posted very clearly how it would warp all other context and be abused, sucking in all new players and they would never see most of the game, which happened as well. From the outset I was very pointedly vocal and had much explicit and clear data that this would be the outcome.
  15. AE was, on launch, leveraged as a zerging platform for xp and inf. It was implemented terribly and never fixed. Everyone who is against making it what it should be, are using it for these purposes and screams loudly to let it stay the way it is, i.e. rushing platform. AE should have more features added to allow more creative mission construction. AE should never give higher rewards than normal content. Farm away, but a lvl 50 PI mission and AE should be no different in terms of XP and inf. AE should not be the first thing new players see when the log into Atlas. Once they have exposure to normal game mechanics and content, sure, let people PL and farm, but from day one of finding the game? This just sets a poor standard. So, improve AE tools, pin AE rewards to regular lvl 50 missions from other zones and remove AE from atlas and KR. Why? Experienced players can still walk over to any other zone and dual-box afkfarm Zerg to their heart's content, but newbies get the real show. Do that and AE would truly be about fun, real, diverse player created content. Do that and new players will get to experience the core game AND farmers can still farm.
  16. This. AE porting is not easy. They must be be rebuilt in normal content.
  17. Perhaps @Captain Powerhouse could confirm that the proc and hidden having a cool down are working as intended? I can see the logic for it, after all, stalkers are just fine as is and if we could proc chain assassin's strike from hide over and over, that's a bit too over the top. If there is a period of 8 seconds where one cannot rehide that seems as though it's not only intended but a good rule.
  18. Exactly. My extremely twinked out stalker that can solo Lusca with no temps, no lore and no envenomed daggers was 750mill, not even 1billion. She solos AV s and other GM's too 😁
  19. Just a bit of helpful info for people who waste merits on ATO and recipe buys. While you can do this, it's extremely inefficient. 1 ATO = 100 merits 100 merits = 300 converters 300 converters x 75,000 sell on AH each = 22.5m And that's low. Considering you can get 1 ATO for 8-12 mill usually, wasting 100 merits for 1 ATO when you could buy 2-3 ATO, by converter and sell? Questionable practice to spend 100 merits on 1 ATO. Further, considering I can use those 300 converters to make 180million, with only 30 minutes of time invested to do it? Yeah. Others who are more careful can turn 300 converters into 300million.
  20. Spot on. Really, the most expensive builds are dominators and tanks. I have 1 tank and 2 Dominators that were 1 billion or so each. Tanks is debatable, but I spent countless hours on mids making him extremely undeathable. All my other twinked out build were around 600-750.
  21. First chance to test... Dummies didn't spawn. Sheesh. Ok, went to a pylon instead... Assy blades only - recharge is sub 6 seconds - fire AB, back into hide - Follow up AB is from hide - Third AB is always quick - I can see the combat log says I re enter hide sometimes, but "hidden" does not show below health/end bar and AB is quick animation, no crit Assy blades>ablating - recharge on AB is sub 6 seconds - fire AB, back into hide - Ablating follows, hits from hide for crit - fire AB again, under 10 from original AB - I can see the combat log says I re enter hide sometimes, but "hidden" does not show below health/end bar, no crit I will test again on a dummy when they spawn, but 3 things are clear: 1. Combat log says hidden state, no hidden word under health bar 2. Character does not go transparent like it should when re-entering hidden. 3. Even though combat log says hidden, no crit. Perhaps we can get confirmation from a Dev or GM? Not sure who to tag, but there appears to be a a window where, hidden or not, you cannot crit again from hidden, and often combat log says hidden when one is not hidden. I think it may be more like 8 seconds from animation end, or 10 from animation begin of original Assy strike.
  22. So, just a follow up... I struggled this up to the late 30's and compared to storm/water, Kin/rad and a few others, time is just missing too much. The detoggle was the tipping point, but overall, Time felt very 1 dimensional. Sure, there's defense, but that was really the stand out. Conversely, storm has defense, damage, mitigation, control... Kin adds recharge, damage, endurance... Sigh. Well, maybe I'll circle back to it, but for now I just feel let down every time I play it. Ah well.
  23. Sea and Sor were old friends. Sea owned a saw and Sor owned a seesaw. Now... Sea's saw sawed Sor's seesaw, sefore Sor saw Sea's saw, which made Sor sore. Now, if Sor had seen Sea's saw before Sea's saw sawed Sor's seesaw, then Sea's saw wouldn't have sawed Sor's seesaw and no sore Sor. Do you see? That is all.
  24. A maid with a duster, Made a furious bluster, Dusting a Bust in the hall. When the Bust it was dusted, The dust it was busted, And the Bust had no dust, That is all.
