It makes perfect sense why Mids still remains a standalone program instead of a web app. Because the developers are Windows programmers, not web programmers.

Any idea why damage procs wouldn't be figured in?
Lunar Ronin replied to Story Archer's topic in Tools, Utilities & Downloads
It's a known bug and will be fixed in the next release, whenever that may be. -
And then it can sit quietly with the half dozen other failed attempts over the past five years.
-
Yep. Waypoints in Mercy Island and Port Oakes have been screwy since City of Villains beta.

Your best bet with Mids Reborn is to not use the installer at all and just use the ZIP archive.

Are MM Thugs going to get an attack update?
Lunar Ronin replied to Jack Spanky's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Nope. They did the least damage of all primaries. Not just Masterminds, but all offensive primaries in the game, period. Even behind Mercenaries. It was just the regeneration debuff propping them up. -
How I can tell you play on Everlasting without you saying that you play on Everlasting. Yeah, those are things that go on on Everlasting raids. I've heard... stories over the years, including just recently. I'd suggest trying the smaller shards if you want to do those, they tend to be more friendly. If not, I don't blame you, but just FWIW: Not all shards are like that.

As long as you're soloing, whatever floats your boat. But if you want to team, I'd recommend a second build with the usual Force Field fixings. Or, perhaps a Dual Pistols or Beam Rifle/Energy Aura Sentinel.

Do You Prefer to Take it Slow? Introducing Steady Indom
Lunar Ronin replied to Lunar Ronin's topic in General Discussion
Right now, we're around level 43. Any level is welcome to join though. -
No one really seems to know, other than maybe a developer. One theory was that it's someone that teleported using the LFG turnstile which used to create an invisible league of one, but that's not the case anymore and it still occasionally happens.
-
Affirmative.
-
But... but... forming teams scary! After a session of AFK farming on Indomitable, it amazes me every time I scroll back through LFG chat and see multiple people repeatedly beg for teams, sometimes for hours. If just one of them actually tried forming a team, he or she would have had at least three others. But nope, they'd rather spam LFG for up to hours saying that they're looking for a team instead.

My Snarky PUG story - The Reddit Mothership Raid
Lunar Ronin replied to Neiska's topic in General Discussion
A lot of it is shard dependent, from my experience. I have heard... things... about mothership raids on Everlasting. -

As any Mastermind player knows, any new Mastermind character created automatically gets three essentially macro buttons. Attack Aggressive, Follow Aggressive, and Follow Passive. These are from the launch of City of Villains in Issue 6. Issue 7 added bodyguard mode. Unfortunately, the three default macros were never updated, and no new ones were added. A new player playing a Mastermind for his or her first character would not know anything at all about bodyguard mode unless he or she read up about Masterminds on the Homecoming Wiki or these forums (maybe), or if he or she was advised by a veteran player. As a result, said new Mastermind player will most likely play with henchmen in aggressive mode, and get lit up. My suggestion: Replace the Attack Aggressive and Follow Aggressive default macros with Attack Defensive and Follow Defensive, respectively. This will give the new Mastermind player a much better, smoother, and safer playing experience from the start. Then later as he or she is more experienced, the player can learn about other macros and binds, etc. Another suggestion: Add a /release_pets default macro. Sometimes henchmen get stuck due to bugs (infinite loop near elevators for example), or geometry, and the only fix is to release them. Not even dismissing them via the UI or via /petcom will work. This will give the player the nuclear option without having to look it up or petition a GM.

I played through it three times on the PlayStation 5 over the past year, and bought it on Steam the day it released there. It's a fun game, and it actually felt like Star Trek, unlike anything on Paramount+. Note that if you play it on PC, make sure to get and use this.

Do You Prefer to Take it Slow? Introducing Steady Indom
Lunar Ronin replied to Lunar Ronin's topic in General Discussion
Steady Indom now has a public hub supergroup base on the Indomitable shard! Feel free to check it out. /macro_image "Tyrant_Lightning" "Steady" "enterbasefrompasscode STEADYINDOM-11314" That will add a macro to your character that you can use when at a supergroup base portal to access the base. For more information about Steady Indom (including ways to join), see the original post. -
Avatar checks out.

If Pets are this bad, what is the point of Masterminds?
Lunar Ronin replied to Caios's topic in Mastermind
Henchmen often have better AI though. -
This is new, I think. Kallisti Wharf, location: 3092.9 94.5 2558.3 Indomitable shard There are two trucks that just keep looping in circles over, and over, and over again. It's reminiscent of the great traffic jam of 2019, except I don't remember it happening here before.

You're mostly a sidekick in the first three blue side zones, saving people from purse-snatching Hellions. What's the difference?

The post is six hours old, but to be fair it was only made public and announced in-game and on Discord at approximately 12:56 P.M. Eastern, a hour and ten minutes ago.

Interestingly, I just had a similar issue on the last mission of the Admiral Sutter TF. Level 50 Demon Summoning/Dark Miasma Mastermind. I used Assemble the Team to teleport everyone to the Col. Duray twins, and Dark Servant and all but one of my demon henchmen started falling through the map and began wandering around below the map aimlessly. I had to release_pets, resummon, re-equip, and re-upgrade them all while everyone else was fighting Primal Col. Duray.

It's Council vs. Masterminds. Nu-Council are very, very nasty when soloing as a Mastermind. That's the real issue of this thread, and it is a legitimate issue.
