  1. The 'untouchable' T4 Lore pets also melt disturbingly quickly during Hami raids, as if the 'untouchable' part only made them immune to typed damage, not the untyped damage Hami does.
  2. For myself, whenever I encounter a mission that is at the same door as a previous mission, I joke about the kurogo having to work especially hard to redress the map for the new mission before we go back into the door.
  3. There are a few missions where you will, for example, click on a warehouse door and find the mission map is a Council underground base, and the 'on entry' pop-up window tells you that you found a hidden entrance to the Council base concealed in the warehouse. I just wish that you'd see more of these when you have disjoint door/map combinations. Although I'm not sure how the explanation would go for entering a mine tunnel door on Primeva at the north end of Nerva and find a bank map.
  4. How dare you have fun in a manner that's not the dev-approved One True Way, in contravention of all the work put into altering improving the game to coerce encourage players to give up all the deviant play styles that they mistakenly think they enjoy? You, sir, are a bad, bad man; go to the corner and sit there until you realize the error of your ways. War Is Peace Freedom Is Slavery Ignorance Is Strength Shit Is Shinola
  5. Before they add that function, they're going to have to fix the 'quirk' that causes the automatic 'next target' choice so that it doesn't pick a target that is between the camera and your character, but not visible on screen because of the camera angle. Defeating a mob in front of you, then hitting an attack power twice expecting to attack the mob next to the one you defeated, but instead you spin around and attack a mob behind you that wasn't visible is seriously annoying.
  6. In a similar vein, I had taken my Peacebringer to the Shadow Shard, and was hitting the gravity geysers in Dwarf form, since I normally have both Energy Flight and Combat Flight on in human form, and got a laugh from the fact that, unlike normal heroes who flail around while being hurled around the zone, in Dwarf form, my Peacebringer kept running as long as I held down a movement key. Including the 'thud thud thud' footstep sound.
  7. I have grave doubts that anything like that could be done fast enough to make it to production before the end of the Halloween event. Done in preparation for next year's event, perhaps, but not this year.
  8. Doesn't work well. The level-50 zones have one big advantage -- you don't move. Start in Steel Canyon; if you're running a murder motel, you'll be making good enough XP that you'll ding quickly, and once you hit 21, you have to move to Talos Island. If you hit 31 in Talos, you have to more to Founders Falls, Brickstown, or Crey's Folly. If you're in a ToT league in a level-50 zone, you're 50 or SK'd to 49, and that doesn't change; you can stay there forever.
  9. All the people at the murder motel killed more than just the Halloween monsters...
  10. There aren't any good 'U' buildings in KW for that purpose, but for solo ToT, I like to use one of the rectangular office buildings there; working your way around the building expires the lockout on a door before you get back to it.
  11. Copy Back Alley Brawler and put him back on his pedestal in Echo: Galaxy City as a trainer there. Miss Liberty is on her pedestal in Echo: Atlas Park, and is an active trainer, so there is precedent for there being a trainer in Echo:GC.
  12. Not only that, but instead of trading off healing for damage when slotting your Protector Bots, now enhancing their repair ability is pulled out into a separate power, where slotting healing does absolutely nothing for the Battle Drones or Assault Bot, squeezing the slotting more. Yes, you can argue that you're just moving the slots you would have put Healing in from Protector Bots to Upgrade Robot, but it makes using the Accurate Healing sets useless -- slotting an Acc/Heal would make your Protector Bots' attacks more accurate, letting you shade the damage loss from slotting heals, but with this change the healing enhancements go in a separate power where they can't contribute Acc back to the bots.
  13. "And the beast shall come forth surrounded by a roiling cloud of vengeance. The house of the unbelievers shall be razed and they shall be scorched to the earth. Their tags shall blink until the end of days." --- from the Book of Mozilla, 12:10
  14. Unless someone comes up with a way to jump through the gap, I don't see that it's going to make a bit of difference, but there is a structural misalignment on the front of all the hospital buildings in Paragon City. There are three-sided extensions on the left and right sides of the front of the building, and the right one (as you're looking at the building) is misaligned, being shifted downward slightly. You can see the texture offset below, where the two planes join toward the right of the image: By itself, this is just a curiosity, except that this greebly is just the three sides; it has no back. As a result, it leaves a gap on the underside of the overhang where it is shifted down: Because this is a tiny enough gap, and far enough away from spawns that, even should someone find a way to get inside that part of the building geometry, being able to shoot out through its surface wouldn't get them anything, I don't think that anything needs to be done to correct this error.
  15. Just to insert a little sarcasm here, what does it say about the player if their ability to enjoy playing a new character is predicated on giving it a name that a dozen or more others have already taken with only the minimum variation necessary to make it unique, becoming the superhero equivalent of "Dread Pirate Roberts #18359 (ask me about franchise opportunities in your area)"? That the whole character is utterly ruined if they can't have this one specific name, or they are unable to conceive of a differently-named character with the same powersets?
  16. Character names are constrained to be unique because that's necessary to uniquely identify them in the database of heroes/villains registered with Paragon City/Arachnos. But while Ajax is registered as a hero, there's nothing preventing some street thug from calling himself Ajax as well. Or we could do it the other way, and because there's been a camelid called a vicuna for hundreds of thousands of years, they have priority, so your forum account is going to be changed to "genericwanker34592", since there can only be one use of the name in the entire world.
  17. And in counterpoint, Zect, I'm disappointed to see that, between the changes that have been made with new TF contact and the people who are fixated on running it at max difficulty who grab onto one way to succeed as if it's the only way to succeed, it's resurrecting the "r u healzorz?" by organizers demanding specific mixes of ATs, powersets, and even individual powers, locking out people who don't min-max their characters to fit the holy meta. One of the things that made CoH so much fun, even back when it had just released, was that you could make team with virtually anything and have it work, and I'm seeing that get ground down to turn CoH into an MMO distinguished from the others only by having an awesome costume editor that doesn't depend on the gear you have. It's not WoW, and getting bigger and bigger sledgehammers to try to pound it into the same hole is a disservice to the game.
  18. And a regular guitar, for all the people wanting to create El Kabong homage characters...
  19. That would, if I remember Positron's description of the way "add on" costume parts like the chest detail, head detail 1 and 2, and back worked, require creating a new anchor point on the character model, then change all the logos to use this new anchor, and then recode the costume editor UI in a manner similar to what they did for asymmetrical gloves and boots, so that the logos had their own category.
  20. I remember when I had a dialup connection, and the ballpark figure I used was ten minutes per megabyte for download times... and now it's "20Mb file? I've got a minute; sure, I'll take a look"...
  21. They've already got rooster tails, but only for the Rumpless breed of chicken...
  22. And I'm getting some giggles thinking about a 'combat aura' peacock tail, with teammates complaining about your blocking vision...
  23. I generally assume that it's a piece of sloppy code in the rendering engine.
  24. There are a few examples -- one is in the grassy area east of the wall separating the rest of AP from the Argosy Industrial section -- where the 'instanced outdoor mission' functionality causes issues. In that location, you see a spawn of Clockwork under a tree that will disappear if you move closer, and reappear if you back away. I don't think this is the cause of the issue Rudra is describing, though, because the instanced outdoor functionality isn't widely used;the Paragon devs, IIRC, reported that they had problems with making it work right, so it was pretty much limited to Matthew Habashy's and Aaron Thierry's arcs in AP, outside of Praetoria where it was first used.
  25. I've had occasions -- always out in a zone -- where I will find mobs that are invisible, with only their shadows rendered (which implies that it's a bug, because characters with a stealth power active don't have shadows), but are nonetheless targetable, and if I move around, I can get them to render.
