And then we'll have people whining about how they clicked 'sell all' and it sold their orange salvage for 5000 inf, and insist on either having an option to to disable 'sell all' for salvage by class, or having separate buttons to sell each class of salvage, and want a button to put their orange salvage into the AH so it doesn't get accidentally sold on the cheap.

But by the time your mouth finishes moving, then the bad English dubbing follows, you've already thrown the punch, and your yelling after you swing doesn't help.

Or, given the destruction of Galaxy City, a series of missions that variously send you to rescue citizens, retrieve equipment or research, and defend facilities against an incursion of Shivans, both as a story arc and as 'filler' missions to fill out a contact's mission list. And it doesn't have to be exclusively against Shivans, either -- with all the destruction, there would be any number of groups looking to recover things from the ruins of Galaxy City, with a few missions that could turn things on their heads, like a mission to free captured Shivans from a covert Crey facility where Crey is looking to figure out how the Shivans work to either duplicate their powers, make their own, or just control them. And, of course, one or two TFs into the ruined zone -- strip down Agent G's arc about the PsychChronoMetron to its framework and rebuild it around Arachnos trying to retrieve something, with both Arachnos and Shivans as obstacles.

And an increasingly-rare example of using the term correctly, rather than the incorrect 'desserts'.

There is already a 'sell stack' function for the people who don't want to click once per item in a stack of fifteen or so, but I fail to see how multiple button clicks are so incredibly onerous to require a completely new functionality.

Dunbar's number, which is that a person can maintain stable social relationships with about 150 people. This was derived from an examination of the neocortex structure and group size in nonhuman primates. A study last year at Stockholm University using modern statistical methods and updated data on the structure of primate brains, though, calls this into question. The study found that the average max size is lower than 150, but has a large error bar -- the 95% confidence range for the actual number is 2 to 520.

Fish Slap. The tier 1 is a herring slap, there's a two-handed cone dual herring slap, trout slap for more damage, a PBAoE spin cod slap, and a T9 where you whip out a full-grown tuna and deliver an overwhelming slap that has a chance to be a cone.

QoL Request: tailor organization
srmalloy replied to Blood Speaker's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
The problem being, IIRC, that the order in which selections appear in a list of costume parts matches the order in which they appear in the database, and costume references internally through the game are just pointers into that database, rather than being labels that are indexed into the database (i.e., when you save a .costume file, and it writes your lower body texture as 'Hips_V_Overguard_01', what the game uses internally is, say, '53', because that texture is the 53rd record in the 'legs' texture database; this is one of the things that contributes to errors when you try to load old costume files), so that changing the order of items for a given body part means having to go through every single costume reference in the entire game to update the pointers. -
I don't think there was ever a problem with slotting an IO into a power where one aspect of the IO wasn't enhanceable in the power -- i.e., putting an Acc/Dam IO into a power that didn't take Acc enhancements. In fact, I recall that there was a bug where it turned out that you could slot IOs that, due to the "X equals minus Y" nature of some of the enhancements -- Damage and Resist Damage being the best-known example -- you could slot IOs or HOs that would enhance aspects of a power you were normally unable to enhance due to slotting restrictions.

EBs should not appear for solo ToTers.
srmalloy replied to TorontoSunshine's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Whether or not the HC staff can do anything to limit EB spawning for solo players, it's not going to happen fast enough to make any difference to the current Halloween event unless they choose to roll back everything, which is going to generate a lot of hate and discontent on its own, so I have grave doubts that we're going to see any effect until next year. -
I don't like the Elite Bosses added to trick-or-treating

From 'Lore Brand Comics': -
There are real-world examples of misleading doors. 145 Rue Lafayette is one such. From the image below, you would think it looks like the Gare de l'Est and Gare du Nord, the buildings on either side of it, but it has no interior, being a facade that conceals a ventilation shaft for the Paris Underground. So being taken to a map type at odds with the door type has precedent.

That's kind of a pity; I was curious, and took Лечение Шока (Elec/Elec Controller) out to Kallisti Wharf to do circuits of one of the office buildings, and the only thing I noticed was that the EBs took longer to grind down than the bosses. But, then, she was an experiment in the viability of "Drain them to zero End and keep them there" as a build goal; once the EB is at 0 end, they're mostly neutered, only using a low-damage base attack. Perhaps if the ToT spawn code was adjusted to check the existing option that downgrades high-rank mobs, so that it would convert EBs into regular bosses (it would be more complicated than a simple downgrade, because it should convert the EB into a corresponding boss, not just lower their rank -- i.e., Crone Matriarch to Crone -- to prevent using the option to make getting the badges for the EBs easier to farm solo). -

Christ, what'd they do to the Crystal Titan?

The 'untouchable' T4 Lore pets also melt disturbingly quickly during Hami raids, as if the 'untouchable' part only made them immune to typed damage, not the untyped damage Hami does. -
For myself, whenever I encounter a mission that is at the same door as a previous mission, I joke about the kurogo having to work especially hard to redress the map for the new mission before we go back into the door.
-
There are a few missions where you will, for example, click on a warehouse door and find the mission map is a Council underground base, and the 'on entry' pop-up window tells you that you found a hidden entrance to the Council base concealed in the warehouse. I just wish that you'd see more of these when you have disjoint door/map combinations. Although I'm not sure how the explanation would go for entering a mine tunnel door on Primeva at the north end of Nerva and find a bank map.

How dare you have fun in a manner that's not the dev-approved One True Way, in contravention of all the work put into altering improving the game to coerce encourage players to give up all the deviant play styles that they mistakenly think they enjoy? You, sir, are a bad, bad man; go to the corner and sit there until you realize the error of your ways. War Is Peace Freedom Is Slavery Ignorance Is Strength Shit Is Shinola

Before they add that function, they're going to have to fix the 'quirk' that causes the automatic 'next target' choice so that it doesn't pick a target that is between the camera and your character, but not visible on screen because of the camera angle. Defeating a mob in front of you, then hitting an attack power twice expecting to attack the mob next to the one you defeated, but instead you spin around and attack a mob behind you that wasn't visible is seriously annoying.

In a similar vein, I had taken my Peacebringer to the Shadow Shard, and was hitting the gravity geysers in Dwarf form, since I normally have both Energy Flight and Combat Flight on in human form, and got a laugh from the fact that, unlike normal heroes who flail around while being hurled around the zone, in Dwarf form, my Peacebringer kept running as long as I held down a movement key. Including the 'thud thud thud' footstep sound.

Excelsior -Peregrine Island shows Server maintenance

I have grave doubts that anything like that could be done fast enough to make it to production before the end of the Halloween event. Done in preparation for next year's event, perhaps, but not this year. -
Doesn't work well. The level-50 zones have one big advantage -- you don't move. Start in Steel Canyon; if you're running a murder motel, you'll be making good enough XP that you'll ding quickly, and once you hit 21, you have to move to Talos Island. If you hit 31 in Talos, you have to more to Founders Falls, Brickstown, or Crey's Folly. If you're in a ToT league in a level-50 zone, you're 50 or SK'd to 49, and that doesn't change; you can stay there forever.

All the people at the murder motel killed more than just the Halloween monsters... -
There aren't any good 'U' buildings in KW for that purpose, but for solo ToT, I like to use one of the rectangular office buildings there; working your way around the building expires the lockout on a door before you get back to it.
