Beam is good for sents, but everyone gets -regen on dis. Fenders get better -regen values(if it’s affected by mods, don’t recall), but sents do get a nifty chain aoe thing

The issue is this isn’t true at all anymore, in HC. I didn’t get to play for 6 months, came back. In two weeks with NO market manipulation got 2bil. Takes 2 wks(of 1hr-4 at most gameplay), no market needed. The idea of haves and have nots is objectively not a thing in CoH. Simply play the game and do TFs and you’ll be a have.

I love it for a number of toons. Playing around with it I’ve created a number of visually satisfying fireballs

I wouldnt even look at a vanilla server. I think a lot of people get wrapped in nostalgia, and as such misremeber the grind and overpriced shit that was the AH as “Good old days”. Also, there IS NO POWERCREEP IN A PVE GAME. Let me say that one more time: THERE. IS. NO. POWERCREEP. IN. A. PVE. GAME! wish that BS would die in a fire, but to continue on, I enjoy the SG im in on Excel so im staying with HC for now. Plus, I don’t always have time to waste on CoH grind, so HC is nice to have for a more streamlined experience. At least for me.

Honestly though, what makes me do the Jonah laugh at this is: There are people doing lots for their volunteer projects, yet it comes off to me almost like there’s a creepy sycophantic devotion to these devs from folks here because “they gave us our game back(they didnt. That was Score or whatever, and THEY didnt want to but it got leaked, so…). Look, there’s liking the game and that’s awesome! But saying, “they do it for free” and expecting folks to not vent their frustrations, then when a dissenting opinion is given, being lambasted and given this “they do it for free” excuse( to those being mature about it) is laughable. Hence why people well…laughed. Also! They are not glass, they will not break bc some people on the internet said a mean word. They don’t need a cult at their beck ‘n call. Not saying everyone who likes them is apart of said cult, that’s directed to the fervent defender-types(and im not talkin the AT :P) Edit: I appreciate the good but I do not give a pass on the bad. No touchy/ruiny of redside. Keep your blueside to yourselves :P. But honestly, redside ATs are the ONLY cool sounding ATs in CoH. Please don't make them generic and bland on the nose crap like most of blueside

Oh I agree. But the issue being more hoarse to water imo. We’ve got em at the lake but the bugger won’t drink. Outside of spending a lot of time for ultimately no gain(considering this is a no consequence activity really) I Just get through the content ASAP. I don’t like it, but given the playerbase is semi in flux, with skill level also being in flux, to keep myself from getting irritated, I just…stopped trying with em.

Much appreciate the clarity. I mean, I still am right, but now I gotta explain it from a different angle to explain to you why. If it's not in their playstyle(hang with me here I agree why wouldn't they use their tools but...well just hang with me.) They won't use it. Period. Playstyle IS NOT JUST POWER SELECTION. I didn't think I'd need to specify that but I guess I do. Anyway! Yeah, people's playstyle really boils down to a bit of nuance that for the sake of time is summed up to be the ACTUAL powers you use consistently in any given combat situation. Think of playstyle like a macro, a set of instructions you follow in any given situation (mostly). May not always be good, or I guess what you think of good. It's not that they're forgetting to use it, they just...don't have it built into their playstyle(see the def of playstyle I used, yours may vary but not to be rude I don't really care.)

I tend to err on the side of not giving unsolicited advice. The folks who do are among the worst players in all of CoH. There is a low floor but high ceiling to CoH, and honestly? Part of being at that ceiling is understanding that you DON’T have all the answers and you sure as hell aren’t good enough to fully optimize someone else’s toon because of this thing called: Different Playstyles. Because of the fact that each of us has a unique style, it’s true mastery to assume unless asked that whatever they have is suited to their particular playstlye. And unless asked, they don’t want anyone’s advice.

I almost never agree with UA. But sadly, this time I break that rule. Unfortunately, this is technically true. Good thing is though I HIGHLY doubt people like UA have the INF to corner a market niche of any major significance, so this type of practice doesn't lead to long-term hyper inflation like preshutdown days. Now if I ever see prices like 20m for [insert ATIO here] persist for more than a few hours, I'll be a bit scared about where the AH is going. But yeah, it's just basic business to sell at a maximum price for minimum cost. May not be a liked principle, but it's still true. Good thing is in CoH, you can be filthy rich in mere hours of inconsistent play. I'm literal proof of this. Well, 2019 me was. I've been coasting for years >.> <.<

Uhhh I think I have 75 or so 50’s. All are fully IO’ed(or were, rather. A few got salvaged) and most have at least T4 alpha. Some get the full suite of T4’s though. As far as what keeps me playing the alt? Usually their ability to solo. If they can’t? They get shelved early.

My foolproof method: 1.) Make build in Mids 2.) Take literally any device that can get a screenshot.(I’ve used my iPad once) 3.) Take screenshot(s) as needed 4.) That’s it. That’s the process Then delete after all is done 😁

You know I never thought to use purps. My thing was boosters. It's like gold in the RL stock market; usually safe, not too terribly wild swings, so profits aren't always insane, but I've made 800mil-1.5 bil off of doing this in several instances. It does require you to play the new 50 for a considerable amount of time to get the RM necessary(not play religiously, just over say...a month or 2? leisurely, ofc.), which, speaking as someone with chronic altitis, can be VERY difficult to do 😅 And then I coast off the billions until I eventually need to do it again after bankrupting my account due to excessively expensive builds >.>

The hilarious thing about this statement is that people for some odd reason think those leveling know how to play the game. If anything, they're worse. Y'all just get more time to reinforce bad habits/misuse powers. It's the same thing as PL'ing, but actually 10x worse because it's harder to fix than a more malleable/green AE 50 player. I've teamed with countless regular levelers who ruin Mo runs, or don't know how this or that works in a TF that they should have played leveling at one point or another, which is very perplexing.

2 bils not a lot. I had 5 and within 4 50s am now down to 1.5ish. If someone makes alts then yeah it’ll go quick. But if they’re just flipping the market to make even MORE then yeah that’s a jerk move. I don’t see too much of a solution though, given that the caps already 2bil, and im not exactly going to give up -my- inf for a lower community cap because some dude sat on CoH all day and rigged the market(if that’s happening, ofc)

I don't personally care what YOU do in any capacity. I was simply piggybacking off of what you posted(which was a conspiratorial level rant, btw) to try and prompt kito into elaborating THEIR(not yours) point of view on WHY they consider themselves a have-not, and (admittedly in a not so concise manner) tried to give a scenario that could alleviate the have-not status of generating inf. I don't care what you think about inf or the people who generate it for this or that reason. I care to understand, from kito's PoV and those who identify as Have-nots I am also not asking for a discount. I have several billion across my toons. I don't need a thing from the devs, other than buffs to MA and other underperforming sets, dangit! 😛
