    While true about the hardmode diff, that's a TINY percentage of content specifically designed to beat the hell out of those attempting to solo it. My eternal (and seemingly wrongheaded) hope is that we never have enough power creep where soloing the HM ITF is as easy as soloing the non-HM ITF is now but I won't be holding my breath on that hope.
  2. Quoting for truth as I'm a recent convert. See the end product first, then decide if it's worth grind X to build it on the regular servers. No muss, no fuss, no hassle.

But it just shows how obsolete everything is because power creep from the devs provided us a game where the max diff is obsolete and the playerbase demands no nerfs and only buffs so that it might as well be a fucking I Win button unless you're playing a petless merc/ta mastermind unless you choose to play the new ultra-diff level TFs of which there will eventually be two. And people never choose to play them. Edit: Damn, I sound jaded as all get out.
  4. I suspect that there's not a DPS listing that ignores outside powers. The vast majority of the best times for pylons or Trapdoor or whatever include crutching on Moonbeam/Gloom because they are ridiculously OP compared to everything else. Which is why I've tried to avoid them except on characters I willfully chose to go as OP as possible, my shield/nrg tank and my nrg/bio scrap, which are, indeed, both ludicrously OP. But thanks to math, you can use what's out there that includes those powers to get a good idea of what's what. Anything + Moonbeam will give a good idea of how things stack without Moonbeam. Same for Gloom. Hit the threads in question and extrapolate properly, you'll have your answer.
  5. But on a troller, Kin + Spirit Ward + Enflame make my earth pet a flaming bag of poop that kicks ass.
  6. Scrappers don't get the extra defense. For some stupid reason. Thirding on staff/bio. 3 forms and 3 adaptations or just go +body/offensive for max +damage.
  7. This. Controllers can often get triple damage out of arcane bolt.
  8. I was mostly joking. Everything following those rules is gonna be a drag on the way to 50. My fire/regen brute sucked taint on SOs.
  9. Pain has a very solid self-heal at lvl 1 and a ton of skippable powers for a soloist which allows more pool choices. Not sure that's the secondary I'd go for on the worst scale. And corruptor damage is high enough to make soloing pretty easy. So you want something that will dish out crap damage while lacking any useful self-buffs or enemy debuffs that will particularly suck while solo on SOs. That's a Peacebringer.

  11. Runnin Clobber, Jawbreaker, Shatter, repeat for my ST chain on a mace/bio scrap. It's up there on the DPS and crunches oh so satisfyingly. Then she switches to Clobber, Shatter, Crowd Control, repeat for AoE.

  13. Yup, it's almost like it's a completely unfair game design. Go melee, get everything you need easily solo, go squishy and be squishy. I have a lot of squishies. It's probably not coincidental that very few if any have all 4 passive accolades. Then again, maybe it is ok design. The squishies team more, don't need the accolades, and nothing in this game is as impressive to me as a full murderball of corruptors.
  14. Several days? Wut? Found some screenies of my nrg/sr brute, she soloed Numina in 1:10 with zero defeats. Manti in 1:30, zero defeats. Synapse 1:30, zero defeats. Yin 1:08 with 3 defeats but you can also take as long as you want, go on break whenever you want, go as fast or as slow as you please. Edit: Obviously, I zerged the hell out of these at base diff. Also, as an example, if a TF gives 100k xp, a soloist gets the full 100k. Each member on a team of 8 only gets 100k*2.5/8 = 31250 but you also have to deal with waiting for folks to join, people dropping, other people, and I've seen full teams stumble along to bad times.
  15. Skip it. Eviscerate is a garbage power and completely unnecessary when you get enough recharge to run followup, spin, shockwave, repeat.
  16. I'm not at all sure what you mean. I roll with Degen almost completely and it's always worked as expected.

  20. Back before the snap the expectation was "I'm doing this once and I hate this damn system." The expectation now is "If I must have them now, thanks for emp merit emails" or "I think it took a couple days farming Heather's arc for BZB scrapper." Took MUCH longer to farm DA repeatables for the 666 vet lvls screenshot.
  21. Side note when testing: Check Your Build First. Make sure you aren't running some ugly procmonster rework you did for a single test and completely forgot about.
  22. Incarnate tohit buffed monsters against a not quite incarnate softcapped scrapper did have some hurty spots.
  23. Thus the sadness. They had plenty of time to get the debuff resistance added. 🙂
