My click mez prots are never doubled up. I leave hasten on auto and use it as my timer for firing off practiced brawler or the like since both have a 2 min duration. Interesting note... as it stands right now, my bio/claws has better times than the fire/claws. I'm going to rebuild the fire/claws for permahasten and the true followup, focus, slash chain that the bio is running and pull burn out of the mix because right now... it seems burn is actually decreasing my ST DPS.

This. My bio/claws tank was getting confused and terrorized left and right while running in DA the other day. My claws/sr and sr/claws users maybe get hit with it once a mission. There's probably a few autohit or nonpositional mezzes out there but they're rare. As per Mids, at least, looks like it's the same base values for protection be it from click or toggle protection.

I have to have permahasten for the followup-focus-slash-repeat attach chain which grants a triple stack of FU on to focus. Therefore, the max recharge is absolutely necessary for my build.

Nope. I use ragnarok - the chance for KB and the sudden acceleration KB-->KD Gots to have that +10% recharge and I hate KB. Knocks them out of burn/ damage auras/ melee/ etc.

If Ablative Carapace is always on, is there any point in taking Parasitic Aura? Am I going to notice a .9 second drop in hasten? I have the not ready sound already disabled, but am I gonna feel it on my followup, focus, slash, repeat attack chain? Here are the totals I'm seeing. I've got no accolades and no incarnate powers selected. Efficient Adaptation is selected. I'm not sure about having melee defense that damn low. Ran with my lvl 32 bio/claws last night. Now 35. About to log on for more. This is going to be an insane combo. Having trouble getting permahasten in the final build, though.

My vote is no. There's no reason to run stone armor. It's still top dog on indestructibility, but the costs are just too high for my tastes. That said, I still have one, an MA/Granite brute just because kicking people in the face with granite/rooted is funny.

Yup. Usually a purple set - the damage only enh + 1 other set proc. Sometimes a full AT set. On two of my FA tanks I've got the full tanker +absorption set in blazing aura.

I feel your pain, @Werner SR/Claws (Currently my favorite tank.) FA/Claws Bio/Claws (May give the SR/Claws a run for its money. FA/EM Rad/EM Bio/EM SR/EM FA/SM Ice/Spines (Soon to be nuked.) I don't like how many tanks I have. Pretty sure I'm missing a couple.

I like getting that baseline. In theory going BF-Attack Vitals Combo adds a good chunk of damage.

Initial pylon test on my brand new FA/Claws tank, lvl 50 and freshly built, no incarnate powers. 7 minutes. Only 150% global recharge with hasten up. Don't much like that. Attack chain is currently Followup, Focus, Slash, Burn, Followup, Focus, Slash, Pause, Repeat. Based on what I see now, I'll probably go Musc, Degen, Assault Core as usual but go with Ageless instead of Barrier. Or build both, of course.

Of course that's true. Some slows the cascading failure. None does not. The question is whether the other mitigation provided by Ice Armor is ENOUGH to counter the failures. My argument is that it absolutely does not and therefore Ice needs a buff to be remoteLY worthwhile outside of concept.

DDR is too low for the amount of mitigation that relies on the set's defense values. It too easily succumbs to defense debuffs and is arguably the weakest armor set because of it. Well, maybe not as bad as regen, but it's close.

Had a bunch of transcendents sitting on my 2nd acct, so turned my old villain main back to his original powersets but as a tank this time. FA/EM, fully T4ed, musc, degen, assault core. Has better pylon times than my claws/sr brute and damn near hits my claws/sr scrapper's times. Where Aeon in the MLTF slaughters my claws/sr scrapper every time, this fa/em tank slapped Aeon down without breaking a sweat. Max diff ITF? No issues at all. Tanks are so OP. 🙂
