  1. I would STRONGLY DISAGREE.
  2. Actually I do prefer fire, dark, etc over mind. 🙂
  3. I actually find Mass Confusion boring as hell. I skip it every single time. There are better powers for my dom to take. And no lowering the recharge would not make me take it ever. If there was an option for a pet for mind, I'd take that over Mass Confusion. Not every thing is about most optimal. To each their own. If there was a choice to get rid of Mass Confusion and give Mind an actual pet, I'd agree with the devs making that choice.
  4. I've actually tried those too besides the stalker ones. I didn't feel much difference in the incarnate trials. /shrug.
  5. Nerf regen you say, okay how about . . . oh wait wrong thread. Sorry. 😛
  6. I've. . . . never had an issue building on maintaining fury even on fast teams. But I can see how this and the others stated would be helpful.
  7. I don't know, of the list the only one that I was aware of how game changing it was, was the stalker one. The rest in your list seem meh at best.
  8. I've heard the game can also run on a potato . . . sorry, I'll see myself out. 😛
  9. You mean you should do this on TEST right? Cause other than asking folks to pool their resources or farm, that's the only way you could get folks to get the exact builds you need if you're looking for exact set bonuses.
  10. Don't get me started on my altitis. 😛
  11. This is a good idea and good setup. Though I'm sure others can see some tweaks. With that said if there ever a large change that would require testing like this, you would need a whole lot more testers focused on this to test all those parameters. I can't see this being accomplished easily (when I say easy, I mean in time that shorter than the heat death of the sun) in a closed beta, since folks (both testers and our volunteer dev team) have actual lives and jobs. 😛 In an Open beta . . .maybe. As to my joke above, two months of testing like this for a said change that would cause it to be necessary is reasonable. 6 months to a year isn't. This is part of my concern why I think large balance changes are not a good idea. Targeted changes (which HC has been focused on) are better.
  12. Honestly are loft of these discussions are just fun to haves without more data mining info shared by the Devs (but like you say if they are willing)
  13. We'll have to agree to disagree. I think the impact of IOs is much higher. So there we are. There are some assumptions you state which are just that . . . assumptions.
  14. This, so very much this!!!!
  15. Working as intended. LOL 😛 Yeah if you're not paying attention certain DA mobs can flatten you. I think that's a good thing.
  16. Give folks the options for tf requirements and regular content difficulty so that they can make the content as hard (or even easier if they choose to go the opposite direction) as they want. This would include an option to remove the aggro cap from a mission.
  17. Good lord this pet is incredible! never knew it was that good. The puffy glow ball has now replaced imps as my favorite pet. LOL
  18. Judgement IS restricted. Incarnates cannot be used below 45. All the other things that come from set IOs in many instances aren't, especially when we are referring to balance. Just responding to what was posted in the thread. ------------ From Oedipus_rex: I don't want to get into a fight with anyone about the Incarnate system, but other than the Alpha slot I find it same-y and less exciting. It's not just about power inflation, for me it's about the fact that I spent all this energy picking out a build and crafting it just for every character to end up with same-y temp powers. Judgment recharges in 90 seconds so on a team of 8 it fires every 12 seconds. It just holds no more attraction for me. I've become a soloist and since I can solo more to my taste on a private server where I make the rules, I spend a lot more time there than in public servers. None of this is the Homecoming team's fault, it's what the were left with. I wish the OG dev team had been less inclined to burn down old content to build their newest adventures.
  19. And one of the reasons I don't see myself playing long term on some of those servers.
  20. The point is the game was already unbalanced by things like crashless T9s long before judgement came around. Plus perma-hasten, etc etc. Incarnates are the least of the games issues, if you're talking about teams being able to steam roll content. Steam rolling content was where COH was looooong before incarnates. Hell we just had an entire 50+ page thread about IOs.
  21. Crashless nukes were doing that long before Judgement came into existence.
  22. There is nothing on the market to convert. And on some servers, no converters avaible. I should have clarified, you CAN do it, but just that the lack of anything to convert with, it will take you an insane amount of time on some servers.
  23. For the number of times I've stated this to folks in and out of game when someone says "making inf is too hard", I'd have a billion inf myself by now.
  24. . . . From spending a month playing on various other servers / flavors of COH. 1. Veteran Rewards and the way they were setup pre-shutdown were . . . NOT that great. 2. HC COH is not as easy as COH can be. Other servers allow you to do crazy things like getting FS, Transference at level 6. Mog / Elude at level 14, Nova at level 18. 3. Without an actual population getting IOs is a grind of unbelievable length. No pop, no AH. You will never get any useful set bonuses relying on drops and reward merits alone. An Active AH is pretty much Integral to the COH experience now. 4. The game is just fine played on SOs, just like it always was. 5. Incarnate abilities without IOs are meh as f. If the IO system didn't exist (and on some servers it pretty much doesn't because of number 3) I don't think Incarnates would be as unbalancing as some folks say it is. They would just be nice to have boosts. 6. Homecoming devs are doing stuff right taking the slow and steady path. Characters can pretty easily and readily break on some of the other servers. Having to reroll an entire character (no matter their level) is sure has hell not fun! Maps and parts of the game simply don't work on other servers because of some of the wacky changes made. On one server the PI indoor Police station pretty much bugs out your game every time, forcing you to re-validate EVERY. TIME. 7. The devs and community and HC are the friendliest of all the servers. Full stop. EDIT: I'll continue to spend some MINOR time on the other flavors of COH, but this is my home. 🙂 If other folks like the other servers better, more power to them, gl hf.
  25. Ehhhhh, for experienced players sure. But based on everything already discussed, for new players or endgame. No, just no. Great on sents though. EDIT: What's ya'll opinion on MOG? 😄
