Until COH players learn the pattern again, and it's back to "muscle memory". But that's just the nature of adding anything new to mmos. Devs take months to add "it", players beat "it" within 7 hours. 😅 -

yeah I don't understand this idea that doing more difficulty content doesn't get you more reward. that's pretty much COH since beta. LOL. -

That would be a pretty good experiment. I suspect you would get some. But I suspect it would take far longer than forming a tf/sf with no such requirements . .. cause most people probably don't want to play that way. Which is fine. You form your own teams and just wait if you're asking for something special. Agreed on the last line especially. -

I would not mind if all fully crafted Set IOs dropped from killing mobs-- Bosses, AVs. Fully crafted COMMON IOs from minions, Lts. Exclude AE if you have to. If they did this I would be open to rebalancing large parts of the game around IOs. -

tfs and sfs every single time. Every time recently when I've asked after seeing a comment on LFG, the tf is filled if I wait more than 5 minutes to tell the leader. With itrials filling out over time but always filling. I say again me and some folks are playing a different game. EDiT: And to be fair depending on the time of day pugs may fill up faster. But that is to be expected. I don’t expect most folks to put in the time commitment for a tf if it’s 4 am in the morning. Those folks are gonna do one or two quick council missions and go to bed. LOL Time commitment is also another reason why it’s not a goood idea to compare council missions or PUG missh teams to sfs/tfs -

For the bolded: Hence why my position is always make changes that soloists, teams, team leaders can OPT INTO via difficulty options. Leave the main game currently as is. -

You had me up until the bolded. If folks want to see other content they can form teams for tfs. Folks will come. There really is no tf or sf that has an issue forming. Especially strike targets. If that's the concern just increase the number of weekly tfs/sfs that are strike targets. Also I don't think it really lines up to compare something that gives merit rewards (sfs and tfs) versus something that doesn't (Newspaper/radio missions of any type). -

I can't answer the questions. I can say though anyone who thinks we'll be seeing the Battalion anytime in the next 3 years (let alone 2021 LOL) . . . needs to pass whatever it is they are on.

Pretty much the bolded. Who cares if folks want to keep running Council paper missions all the time. No really, as the kids say "who asked?". if that's want folks want to do, let them. If you don't, don't. Simply run your own missions and ask for harder difficulty OPTIONS to be made. -

Or how about you don't, and put in the difficulty options to make certain mobs tougher. Leave the base game as is. If folks want tougher have them set it via difficulty options. -

I do. Up until my build hits 50. I don't bother with IOs until then. Rarely do I use common IOs while leveling. EDIT: Obviously for the ones that get PL'd right away (cause I found out they suck in lower level team play) they don't even bother getting SOs besides the few I slotted to try out the set to see if it's worth playing. -

To be honest this is PART of the reason I build most (if not all of my squishes) in a way that if they get mezzed it doesn't last that long . . . or they simply can't get hit most of the time. -

I think the Dev in question recently said they would need better testing next time around so that they can get the balance point better. Based on that I suspect that only a few of the "higher build" folks played the arcs in beta and then they called it a day. What should have happened (and what the dev suggested) was that they get folks of different ranges of difficulty and builds (including SOs) to test it out. Would that have resulted in the tuning down for those arcs? Who knows. -

Ehhhh I kinda see Bill's point. If I'm not able to solo at a steady pace with a given powerset setup I'm more than likely not to bother getting it to 50. Because I'm not guaranteed to always have teams available at some of the times I get to play during the week. /shrug. -

Oh I'm not saying ignore them. I'm saying what should be the BASE game be, and should that including having to interact with the inventions system at all? The "selling point" of COH was always that you didn't really have to craft gear or deal with an auction house. Is it high time that selling point goes away? Maybe. But maybe not if it means taking significant time of our limited volunteer team to have to rebalance large portions of the game. If it's easy let them have at it. But I bet it's not and I'd rather have them spend that time more wisely. Fix outliers (like they just did in the last deployment) sure, but spend large amounts of time rebalancing the game (and potentially introducing new bugs) along the way for something that may not have that much payoff compared to new costumes, low level story arcs, new at, new powersets etc? . . . no. -

Exactly, it's not really the GMs job to solve bugs, there is a dev and QA team for that. Their primary focus should be getting players back into the game and having fun. They can pass on what they learn to another team that can do that actual SQL or code research to track down the underlying issue. -

This . .. actually doesn't seem realistic for all the GMS to drop whatever they are doing and try this. It would be more useful for them to have their QA/BA team try this (do they even have one)? or the devs who could look at the underlying code while trying this. EDIT: Might be a good test case for the next large scale beta or closed beta test group, whenever the next Page is ready for testing. I say all this as someone who works in QA in IT for a living. -

Folks gave you plenty of reasons why in the other thread. Not going to rehash them all here. This is unreasonable request for the team we have now and not needed. And you have not given a clear definition of power gamer. This sounds like another absolutely useless rail against powerleveling in disguise As said absolutely unnecessary. -

You're asking them to devote resources to potentially two different code bases. That seems unrealistic with the VOLUNTEER team we currently. Also completely unnecessary. -
