Increasing Difficulty without Undoing Things

I've seen multiple people who complain about level shifts FAILING to mention this time and time again. Thanks for outright stating this again. Let's see how many people continue to ignore it this time. LOL -
Agreed. Thankfully there have been more useful suggestions over MANY months (and some even this week) than just make everything +5 as the new difficulty options. Also, I've seen many comments where people actually believe making encounters take long is some sort of + towards challenge. It's really not.

To be clear for the 1000th time, I'm fine with more OPTIONAL difficulty options that make the game harder for those who want to play that way. Add all the bells and whistles to those new difficulty options. Keep the base game as is for the rest of us. Also the devs should add in harder incarnate content and I'll even run with those that want that, when I'm in the mood for that. EDIT: I'm not fine with massive changes that could potentially drive off a large part of HC's pop and waste months of valuable volunteer dev time. This current thread for reference, is a great one of, what I'm referring to.

We have one. We've had one for over a decade. Hence why to this day the teaming aspect of this mmorpg is often lauded over most mmos to date. I'll take the teaming here over FFXIV, WoW or anything else, any time of the day. I can jump on at nearly any time of the day and get a quick team and go smash some heads, without worrying if me and my buddy are the same exact level or have the same exact missions. (And I'm referring to the failure aspect of the successor to this game, Champions Online, when I specifically call that out.) That's pretty much COH. EDIT: And has been shown in multiple threads over the last few days in Suggestions & Feedback AND General Discussions there are like minded people who you can team with if you choose to. Hell some of them have already started to form SGs.

More like the devs at the time didn't care . . . since they had a specific vision for the game. We can agree or disagree but it was their game, their vision. Not Arcanaville or any other players. That vision is "casual superhero game you can pick up and play with ease at any time." Not Demon Souls in a Super Hero skin.

Sure if these are in the new notoriety options I'd be fine with that. I've always advocated that while keeping the base game traditionally where it is. -

Some of those servers markets pretty much don't exist because the population is low, because more folks prefer the changes HC made. On those other servers You earn stuff form playing regularly via drops and merits. -

Yep. More difficulty options is always a good thing for folks who want that that challenge. I've been saying that on these forums for over a year. As long as team leaders who choose those (future) options SAY SO when putting out feelers on LFG, I have no issue. -

Yeah no. The old mission arcs also need to be cleaned up. With some gutted and new ones added. -
Those additions were useful when they were new. We're looong past that. I pretty much don't do anything in Atas or Kings Row now having done all of that content to death nearly 50+ times.

If team leaders are able to set this and as long as they ANNOUNCE IT when they are LFG that they have Set Bonuses turned off, I have no issue with this notoriety setting. -

There's a vast difference between Hasten and other pool powers that almost no one takes. I'm sure there is middle ground that can be found somewhere in there. -

I think this right here is the question: How much do want folks taking any pool power with or instead of a regular primary secondary power? For me I'll say that if a primary or secondary power is better overall than any pool power, there needs to be an extreme case where I would take the pool power. If the pool power is demonstrably worse and isn't worth another power pic I'm not taking them. I guess you can continue to make them as niche powers for the few folks that would take them for flavor, but then I guess that's a question if that's a good use of dev time. /shrug.
