  1. Joke from when they were on live: Sooooo their dps is 0 most of the time. Gotcha. 😉
  2. *In Baby Huey Voice (when he's acting as an actual baby)* Blasters Go Boom
  3. The dev time issue is still an issue. We're still dealing with a volunteer team. They can't possibly do everything that everyone in the suggestions forums posts. I'd say a week there are at least 5 good ideas there with 15 which really aren't. Even to get those 5 (posted this week) done in any reasonable amount of time would be a challenge even if thing weren't the way they currently are. (i'm referring to covid here and the affect it has on folks real personal and work lives).
  4. Individual targeted buffs and nerfs should be what they continue (see Blaster changes, TW changes) to do. Wholesale rebalancing of large parts of the game would be pointless.
  5. Hmmm, this is true. I have seen a few teams now choosing to run at base difficulty. Similar to how speed run tfs don't go beyond the base.
  6. I think the issue was this was that they could not create enough incarnate content like Dark Astoria, to keep up with the demand. Hell the had trouble creating Incarnate TFs like Tin/Pex. Content creation isn't easy. So I think the opening of a true solo path by Score/HC (and a few other servers) was inevitable.
  7. It depends on how you intend to address it. I think the dev team has better things to spend their EXTREMELY limited time on. If were were getting content updates as we were on live I wouldn't keep bringing that limit on dev resources up. But we aren't. We have to be careful about what we ask them to spend time on, as there is an opportunity cost with that. I don't think wholesale rebalances are needed or necessary. Certainly not more than the other things folks have been asking for. Others will and have disagree/disagreed. /shrug
  8. Only 1 of the level shifts can be used out of iTrials. That's always been the case. Even on live.
  9. Pretty much this. Most players don't care how difficult the game isn't. They aren't here for difficult gameplay. That was really never the point of COH.
  10. I think that ship has unfortunately sailed.
  11. Pretty much this. I . . . don't care about the Monsters, for this reason.. Hamidon and MSR I will always show up for. EDIT: Bump each GM like Lusca to 20 merits then I'd show up.
  12. Even on live level 49s could drop purples.
  13. Based on my personal views, (and what you stated in this post) it would not.
  14. Nah that's okay, the 10-15 people who think wholesale balance changes to a game this old would still be around to play with another. /s EDIT: And before anyone gets offended, relax, it's a joke. lol But Mac's point still stands.
  15. This and the fact that the incarnate system doesn't touch the awful AH interface.
  16. Pretty much this. Also the AH is terrible. It and other parts of the Inventions system needs a revamp before we start talking about making assumptions about difficulty based on IOs. At the very list the persistent bugs should be quashed. I don't buy the idea that a terrible interface/experience is part of balance. If something isn't working it should be fixed.
  17. Pretty much. The AH also really doesn't have that great an interface. (and still has some VERY annoying bugs) Which is why I don't bother with inventions till 50. And crafting I also find annoying. I can't craft in the field unless I have the portable crafting table. I just stick to SOs or unslotted til 50. As I mentioned the critical systems involving IOs need be revamped (crafting, the Auction House, how we acquire them, etc) and actual GOOD tutorials created and integrated into the regular flow of storylines/play, before we talk about now making them somewhat required (which is what you would be doing if you changed balance to them, away from SOs)
  18. Or it's too annoying to deal with IOs in the lower levels. Or the IOs available post 50 are a magnitude better than anything you can get pre-50. Which they are.
  19. Many folks on these forums and in game have wildly different definitions of fun. It has nothing really to do with critical detachment and everything to do with WHY folks play this game to this day. I'll just say this and leave it at that. EDIT: With that said a lot of the choices made for COH probably would need to be different for COH2. I for one would like to see (in the mythical COH2) a system for building characters that's more akin to Champions Online, and not the AT system again.
  20. I was referring to a team of sappers as has been suggested. To me that seems like a lot of effort versus just inviting some folks who can put something like a cold or rad debuff on the AV and going to town, damage wise.
  21. The merit rewards would really need to be worth it after you do the zone events, for most to even consider it over some of the other activities that currently can award high amounts of merits.
  22. Too much work for just a badge. I'd rather they use level restricting tech like that for something more important than the sewers.
