Metallica - One

Wait, so IOs are easily attainable and hard to get at the same? 😏

@Carandiru Check out this post: Here are the basics from the post, but is contains a lot of answers to your question. But there's a whole lot more to base building than there used to be. Welcome back! How do I rotate items? Alt; spin an item on primary axis Ctrl + Alt; rotate item on secondary axis Shift + Alt; rotate item on tertiary axis How do I stack items on top of each other? Use F5 to change the items attachment mode to "surface". Use F1 to disable the grid for precision placement. What does room clipping do? Room clipping (F3) allows you to sink items into the walls and place items in doorways. However, items must always be connected to a room. No matter how much you clip or float them, they must still be within or touching a rooms boundaries. What does angle snap do? Angle snap cycles through angles that an item will snap to when rotating. You can also set a custom angle with the slash command /anglesnap #degrees.

It's no longer needed. New controls were added to the game before shutdown (thank you Dark Watcher!) that allows the use of Ctrl, Shift, and Alt to raise/lower, slide, and rotate items.

My very first character on Legacy, I went straight to Atlas Park. Looked around and saw all the people, saw all the tool bars with only the barest idea of what they were for. I immediately logged back to the character select screen, deleted and recreated the character (fortunately I had saved her costume when I had made her) and selected 'Outbreak' to run through the tutorial. For a first-timer I found it helpful, as well as the original contacts in AP that sent you on gopher missions that introduced you to things like Wentworth's and vendors and such.
-
This makes no sense to me. You have to actually go to a vendor to sell your drops. Wentworth's is literally three characters away. You type /ah and drop your loot set it to sell for 10 inf if you like, and go. Next time you log on type /ah and collect. It takes less time to sell at the AH than it does to go seek a vendor.

This would be an opportune time to educate said players. If they are on your team, provide a little constructive commentary regarding their power's KB and affect on team dynamics. Positional use of their powers, blasting runners, etc. You are not telling them how to play, just giving them advice. They may be new players or maybe they don't normally play powersets that have KB components, hell they could just get a kick out of watching mobs go flying. I know I thought it was hilarious as all get out when I mez'd Scirocco and he clocked Ghost Widow during an STF even though it nearly caused a team wipe. I can see one of four outcomes: They may thank you for the tips and modify their plan-of-attack They say nothing and modify their plan-of-attack They say "Piss off, I'll play my character how I want" and continue blasting gathered mobs They say nothing and and continue blasting gathered mobs At which point the team lead can decide to keep said player on their team, finish out the mission and kick them from the team, or kick them from the team immediately and likley place them on their block list with a 'Not a team player' note. Am I thrilled over KB? Not really, but I regularly team with friends who play Khelds or powersets that KB. I don't gripe at them about it so why would I gripe at someone that's not my friend. And I have to say that in my time of playing on Legacy and here on Homecoming, I've not met a player that intentionally griefs the team they are on with KB. -
Go onto Beta and create a character then you can level them up to 50 and see all the animations.

The thing is, is that you don't even have to "work the market". Sell your drops, make inf. No real marketeering involved. You can already trade or barter 1:1, I know there's a Market thread in the forums that people post trades, there are likely channels out there for direct trading as well.

@Frostweaver You've provided a lot of good information here on StJ, I've been trying to flesh out a build with Bio, Jumping, and Leadership but I am horrible at build planning in Mids. 😕 Do you happen to have a build already available?
-
Pretty much this. 👆 I recall in another similar thread that one of the posters that, 'not everyone plays the market' or repeatedly runs DFB, or does X, or does Y. I had to wonder what they did do in-game? Street sweep and sell their stuff to vendors? If you do not avail yourself of all the tools available, you cannot then ask for compensation for the features of the game that you choose not to use.

And one of my favourites...

This is the Common Room from my base on Legacy. It'll be interesting to see how it'll look now with all the features the Homecoming gurus have added. 🙂

Or you can post them here: 😄

MM Bots stomping around was the very first sfx I ever silenced in the game, both in Legacy and here. The second was Demon Lt rawrs. Sown and dirty, you need to create a /data folder in your CoH install folder (if it's not already there). Within the /data folder, create a /sound folder and within the /sound folder create an /ogg sub-folder, and within the /ogg folder create a /feet folder. You should now have a directory like this: /YourCoH/data/sound/ogg/feet The two files you need to place in there are: VFoot1.ogg VFoot2.ogg These sounds can be anything you want or just silence. You don't need a zero byte files, just a 1 sec file. I replaced mine with rubber duckie squeaks that are about half the volume of the stomps. You can create your own silence file or grab it from my thread. Feet.7z

Wow, I found that omnibus book in my high school library around 1980 and loved it. The Hollywood "adaptation" seemed to have been done by someone who never even read the thing. Well, you have to take into consideration when that was filmed (1951) vs the radical ideas in the books (common goal for mankind since there were multiple ships not just one, multiple spouses for both women and men, etc.). Considering the book was originally published in 1933, the ideas within it were very forward thinking.

That's pretty much how it works. Changes you make only affect client-side and only you will see them on the machine you made changes on. That's why for me, all Bots squeek like rubber ducks when they walk and glowies sound like a pack of hyenas. You would have to share the changes with others for them to see/hear the same thing. Also, if you change the .pigg files, any time a client update is pushed out that updates that particular file. All your work will have to be redone, while the /data folder/subfolders and files are not affected.

❓ What movie would you like to see a remake of? Personally, I'd love to see 'When Worlds Collide' remade and closer to the book. I'd also like to see 'After Worlds Collide' made for a sequel, which was never done with the original movie.
