Focused Feedback: Energy Melee Revamp
BrandX replied to Jimmy's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
That wasn't what the reply was about. The reply was to the fact that the poster thought Tankers should have a way to heal back the damage, because Scrappers and Stalkers have the ability. However, the ability to heal it back, is due to not having full crit. Me personally, I'm fine were EM is. Though, I still don't see why a high damage attack has to stop being a high damage attack, because of Criticals. Crushing Uppercut does it's full crit. -

Oh, I promise you, Scrappers and Stalkers would gladly give up the heal for crits doing the damage they are supposed to be doing and not just the 28% 😛 -

Well, I was specifically looking at the rings during my testing, as I was trying to determine if Barrage was giving the -Regen/-Special, since I was using EF on ET. However, perhaps I should put Critical Strikes to an attack before TF, but then I wouldn't get the increased chance on ET. -

Not likely, as Stun is being replaced by Power Crash and Power Crash is the EF Spender, not Whirling Hands. -
Mind is Telekinesis and Telepathy powers, and Fire is just Pyrokinesis, which can be a subset of telekinesis (telekinetically agitating the molecules in the air to create fire or some such), so I'd say they link thematically quite well. Go for a Cold Epic for it all!

Have you thought of using Cold Domination but color it a non ice color?

Time/Elec/Mu Defender or Elec/Time/Mu Corruptor and be sure to grab the Epic Hold. There's also Grav/Time/Any Epic You're Happy With

Okay. Got it to happen. Is TF just not critting as often? I know it's less damage, but is it's chance to crit lower too? -

Does the ring around the icons disappear off of both or stay around one or the other? -

Running some pylons. I never saw Barrage or ET stay lit up for the second EF. Now maybe I just never got a critical on TF (I did see Critical Strike go off) in the 5 minute plus run, but as soon as I used ET (always after a TF) the ring around Barrage disappeared. I would think, if double EF rings would stay. Maybe I just never crit on TF. -
Did another run, this time with TF > ET > Barrage > BS > *slight delay after first* MB > Repeat Got 5m25s and I could only bump up the +RCH on MB with one more booster, I was lacking, so it likely wouldn't have made to much of a difference. Again, no incarnates. Edit: Ran with Musculature Radial (what I'm more than likely to go with on live), Assault Hybrid (not clicked) and Degenerative Core and got 3:37 for 304.5 Personally, the 245 was likely enough for me to live with, just because that means I should be soloing all/most AVs with just that, which is what gets me feeling super 🙂 So the rest is just gravy for harder team content. Also, I did mistime one Build Up, so it could've been a little better.

I don't know. I don't think I have to test Ninjitsu losing it's ability to use it's Shinobi-Iri +Run Spd with Ninja Run is just bad. I currently main it on live, so I'm pretty sure, I will miss the +SPD of it if the change goes through. Not to mention I use it on non Ninjitsu users as well (love the run animation, what can I say...I use it and fly, both, on a multiple characters) so I know the difference in how the speed feels. Can I live without it? Of course. Done it on multiple non Ninjitsu users. Do I like the idea of getting rid of one bonus of Ninjitsu? No. Do I need to test it to know it? I don't think so. The change is bad. As for EM. Been testing that. So yay! 🙂

Wasn't even going for an optimal build...EM/Regen Scrapper TF>ET>EP>BS>Moonbeam>EP>BS>Repeat that at somepoint I started going TF>ET>EP>BS>MB>EP>Repeat as I didn't think there was that much of a delay. Then started replacing the second EP with BU when it recharged. No Incarnates and I got 245.45 DPS at 5m26s I do think I could eke out a little more damage on ET, as I realized, with it's no end cost, I could replace the DMG/End IO with DMG IO. No idea how Barrage would effect it, as I was basically wasting any secondary EF I may have gotten from TF (slotted with Superior Critical Strikes)
-
Well, now I would guess your chain would have gaps, due to BS, ET and TF being sped up.
-
Why disable the accolades in PvP zones? That seems like something that anyone could get really. Not a big thing for me, but baffling. I can understand the Incarnate aspects staying out of Recluse.

If it had been my main, I probably would've loved it more. Had my build for sustained ST DPS (as good as Spines could get) with no end issues, and attacking all the time with the AOEs for general stuff. Was great! I now wonder if I can remember that build.

I can say, with my first round of testing with EM on Beta. I lacked Tactics and noticed the difference. OMG! Back to putting Tactics into my build. 🙂 Less missing! -

True. However, to even get a second fast ET, you'll have to assume every TF gets a critical. We know that's not going to happen. So, you'll either be stuck with a slow ET or have to plan around never having one. -

Nah. You're just assuming you're going to be able to fit 2 ETs into every application of TF. Which, for the non Scrappers/Stalkers, they may just avoid that, and for the Scrappers/Stalkers, I'm guessing they can do some serious damage without two in a TF cycle. -
Focused Feedback: Titan Weapons Revamp
BrandX replied to Jimmy's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
I see in the popularity thread, TW was up there enough, but I do have to wonder if the players who had them, kept on playing them, as I don't see them that often in PuG. Not to the point I would think they were that popular. So, is the idea to nerf or to make it so people want to keep playing them at high level? I don't even recall if I got mine to 50. I know I didn't keep playing it, and I've made more than one. Not that I had a problem with it being some top tier, OMG, if you really go all in on making one, this is the set. Though, wasn't the point of the set, to have high end and long animations, to justify the high damage, and then have it's gimmick to be, keeping that damage formula, but with faster animation time? -

If you miss with ET, it doesn't mean you get a slow ET. Avoiding slow ET is easy to do with what they're giving us. TF > ET > Whatever needed to get back to TF > ET -

Well, you will be able to avoid the slow animation, if you always maintain TF > ET. -

As a scrapper player, I don't mind it going back to BS myself. However, I do like the idea of giving Barrage something for people to go "Oooooo" about, as I think all tier 1/2 powers should be a hard choice to pick from 🙂 -
Focused Feedback: Other Powers Changes

Ninja and the Blaster Archery Secondary. This is a change that just needs to go. It's not needed. It's not overpowered. It's a tiny plus to the sets, that's all. -
Focused Feedback: Energy Melee Revamp
BrandX replied to Jimmy's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
It seems the only reason people care about where the -Regen/-Special/More Stun is located, is because they believe they're going to get double ET in that Double Energy Focus all the time. I'd call the double EF a bonus, not worry about spending it on Barrage or Bone Smasher (if it even goes back to BS). As for the other ATs that don't get double EF, I'd imagine under most circumstances, the idea will be to use the EF for fast ET, not worrying about a boosted Stun. Now, there may be a reason for a melee to want to use that boosted BS, but it'd like be rare and easily able to sacrifice a fast ET to get it.
