  1. Just curious, but why not have Power Crash be a single target attack with 100% stun, that when used with Energy Focus, becomes a cone with more damage? Or is the idea to give Bone Smasher the 100% Stun with EF, to make people choose more?

  3. They don't get to make use of lots of things until level 35 or 38. No Crushing Uppercut until level 38. No Sweep Combo until level 38. Tankers having to wait long for things pertaining to melee, is basically what it means to be a Tanker.
  4. I believe Crushing Uppercut has been the highest I've seen in play.
  5. Why? The Double FC is a product of their inherent powers, not a product of the set. Not getting double damage, so tack on a double FC. If double FC is passed around, will full critical happen on TF for Scrappers and Stalkers? Do they get the Fury and punch voke?
  6. Just curious, wasn't the idea of Momentum, to get a speed boost on the attacks, but maintain the damage formula as if slow attacks? Not, get two different damage formula's for an attack, one when in momentum and one, when not in momentum?
  7. I love Barrage, all for seeing it get some love. Don't see the issue with TF being needed to be used first to get the AOE for PC. Target the toughest target first with TF, hit the two AOEs for everything else, instead of hitting the AOEs and finishing them off with the ST. EM's focus is and should stay ST.
  8. True. So, the question is, do you feel you need the 100% Stun over more damage? Do you want the 100% Stun with some -Special/-Regen (which I personally don't feel it needs).
  9. Got on just a bit and made a EM/Regen Scrapper ❤️ No real level up, as I didn't know of the freebie menu at the time, but so far, just having Energy Melee on Scrappers is love 🙂
  10. I get what you're saying. However, that's just called attacking. Want to 1 shot two minions in a row fast? TF > ET. Enemy won't go down in one hit? Faster to go TF > ET than ET > TF. And when I play EM and go after those single strong targets, I used both attacks. So, really, with that logic, you may as well be saying ET really equals TF > ET > BS > EP > Repeat or some such. Only now, you can go TF > PC > WH for those times you'd rather have more AOE. That's the only difference this "combo" system really seems to do. "Do you want fast ST or do want to have a bit more AOE?"
  11. When I lost ET fast attack on Live. Well, I shelved it because I just didn't like the new ET animation. Still not the biggest fan of it on HC, but I just love EM. So, tried to get my main back to EM. Having ET sped up only when used after TF, isn't bad and pretty much gives the speed up all the time, unless you do something wonky with your recharge times. And, while I wasn't one who thought EM needed more AOE (not if it stepped on the ST DPS toes), the changes give people that option too, which isn't bad. However, it just means, one sacrifices the ST DPS (fast ET) to go the AOE route (unless they crit). Not the way I'd have gone with it. I wouldn't really call EM a big combo set, as I play those. 😛 And really, even the sets that aren't combos, one tends to have an attack order for best damage and then throwing in the side attacks for whatever reason.
  12. Spinning Strike, in Street Justice, takes Targeted AOE IOs. If you need a target to use, I believe is when you use Targeted AOE IOs.
  13. I don't know. I'd say Dual Pistols wasn't pulling any power creep for the set. However, the numbers have me thinking a few things with the test down by Galaxy Brain. I do feel some sets should be ST King versus AOE kings and then those in the middle. However, should TW be that far ahead of Fire Melee, which maybe should be pretty solid in both areas, while not top, seeing as how TW has the nice KD going for it. 🙂
  14. My EM/Regen Brute won't be seeing a return, but, a reroll to a Scrapper ^_^
  15. I've never seen an EM player not take Total Focus and now it's sped up. I don't see the bad part there, truthfully. I did make the suggestion in the feedback thread of making Stun turn into a targeted aoe (around the target, not the caster, like spinning strike) when used with Energy Focus. So, without Energy Focus, same as it's always been. With Energy Focus, turns into Targeted AOE and gets more damage, while still stunning the primary target the same as before, but now with more damage (when Energy Focus is in use).
  16. Haven't gotten on test. So, looking at just what's given here... Which, EM on Scrappers, I'm going to play regardless. Let's be honest here. 😛 I've been wanting this since Power Proliferation on live after they ruined (to me anyways) my WP/EM Tank. I wasn't keen on the turning EM into a combo system, but some thoughts... Not sure Bone Smasher needs a -Regen/-Special. I'm not against it. However, high ST damage with Stuns was really, all I wanted. I do like the more chance to actually get stuns going though. Power Crash. Why not have it remain Stun, but if used with Energy Focus (since this seems to be the idea you're going with) it then delivers Targeted PBAOE (around target) and more damage? So, keeps the the ST Stun aspect it has now, but if used with Energy Focus it'll get AOE and Damage! Total Focus getting sped up, is what I said needed to be done 🙂 Looks like it's may be around where I thought it should be. I suggested 2.376 (arcana time), so a littler slower than my suggestion, but part of my suggestion was to also get some alternate animations going on. Can't say I like the idea of powers not Crit Striking for normal Crit Damage, but it's better than none at all *eyes Concentrated Strike* and if we're stuck with Energy Focus, at least we get two. Energy Transfer costing health instead of endurance. Love it. Not sure I care for the idea of making it momentum based. Couldn't just go 1.848 (arcana time) or some other time, for it all the time and Energy Focus will instead only take 5% of life (this'll give non critters less life lost) and critting can give the user no life lost and +10% Health back as well? Or just put it's damage at a level were it's okay to crit for normal? Of course, that may not be good for the Tanks/Brutes. Now to figure out how to make EM/Regen Scrapper work! Edit: As for the -Regen/-Special. If the idea is to have it, why not just put it in Barrage, since he does less damage than Energy Punch?
  17. It does and I couldn't believe it was forgotten and Kinetic Melee was mentioned first. 😛
  18. And those enters only use 1 space.
  19. They have to be. I get comments on my max length bio all the time. 🙂 But I try to make it more than just a story and I'd like to add a few more lines for RP purposes.
  20. As someone who loves melee the most, I've made a lot of support builds and gotten them to 50... Heat Loss. Didn't find anything wrong with it on my 50 Cold Dom. Dark Servant. I'll be honest. Not my personal favorite power in the set, but thought it worked well. No issues. Maybe some options in looks? Amp Up. Can't speak for this one. Adrenalin Boost. Meh. What might make it interesting, is smaller numbers on it. Possibly not permable. Works on the caster in a PBAOE fashion. Gives Regeneration/Recovery/Status Resist/+ToHit/+Damage/+Slow Resist/+Recharge...basically what a lot of the powers already do, but now grouped together. Maybe on a 500 second. 60 Second duration. Possibly even 90 seconds, but the 60 makes it so it can likely be cast with the Regen/Recovery Auras, but not stay on as long. Force Bubble. Not a fan. If it was a smaller radius and added in some Defense/Resist...maybe. Never felt like it was a good fit on teams. Fulcrum Shift. Never got into Kin, so couldn't give my own first hand opinion on it, but plenty seem to like it and teams like it. 🙂 Overgrowth. Another I never got into, to give an opinion on. Painbringer. Never played it. I would likely think something akin to Adrenalin Boost most likely. Venomous Gas. Never played the set. EM Pulse. Seemed fine to me. Liquefy. I don't recall hating it, but I don't recall enjoying playing the set. Lightning Storm. I love my Elec/Storm Troller, with the only thing I recall wishing was more damage, but to be fair, who doesn't? 😛 Melt Armor. I liked it well enough. Chrono Shift. Love it. Still don't fell this set is as powerful as others seem to like to say it is, but it's good survival and a fun set. Time Bomb. Never got into this set. A shield that doesn't always stay up with you and laying out traps just never appealed to me. Though, maybe the Traps that one lays, maybe best for just the big targets and not worry about them on the lower ranks. Track Arrow. Never got it high enough to judge.
  21. ^I vote for this. On live, I made a Spines/Dark Armor who could attack with Spines best ST DPS and just group to group AOE, with Cloak of Fear, Death Shroad and Quills running, non-stop, all end issues taken care of and it was fun to use, so Staff/Dark should be able to do it as well. Takes some IO use to do of course, but if you're looking for something different, try Dark Armor.
  22. I just want more info on Regen and EM! Is that to much to ask?! 😞
  23. Telekinesis Epic Pool Power For Scrapper/Stalkers Tier 1 - Lift: Same as Gravity Control) as I would with all Epic Single Target Blasts (personally) I'd have the DPA of the attack be on the better end of Tier 1 and 2 attacks, so players can add or replace these attacks into their attack strings. Tier 2 - Telekinetic Hold: I'd make it like Soul Storm in terms of animations, possibly without the glow, but have the enemy in the air spinning or just lifted up into the air held). Tier 3 - Shield Ally/Allies: +5% Resist/Defense - Same as Deflection Shield and powers like it. The only question is, would it target the team or not. Tier 4 - Propel: I'd turn it into a targetted AOE attack. Edit: Tier 5 - Telekinetic Body Armor: Toggle (.33/s) +3% Resist/Defense Changed the tier 5 to a toggle from a passive, as it dawned on me, concept wise for such a power, as one gets tired down, one tends to lose the ability to keep shielding one self. People keep beating on the shield, you may just tired out and the shield go down for instance. Figure standard Leadership toggle End use.
  24. I meant in terms of the name and how the powers are used. WP concept wise can be used for anything Regen can be, but the idea of playstyle does come into play. But what I'm saying is, I wouldn't go by the name itself...though yes...we all tend to want to.
  25. I have to say, I do feel you're looking to much at the meta aspect of the powers. Name and how they're used doesn't have to be the name. Especially with customization. That doesn't mean however, we can't want the playstyle changed a bit. Claws/Regen was my first 50 on CoH and then they changed it and it hasn't felt right to me since and it hasn't felt equal to other sets in the late game at all to me. 😞 I hear it is with weapon sets that provide +Defense, but I don't want to use a set just for +Defense.
