  1. it’s a common meta in the HC era, people want every AT to be a scrapper and build every AT in the same way and then get disappointed they didn’t click “Scrapper” when they chose their AT when making the alt blasters have high damage and low defences, always been that way. the best defense is a great offense
  2. “why isn’t my blaster a scrapper?”
  3. aw man, what a good film! i watched it a few weeks ago. way better than i was expecting
  4. i’m sorry to say that i click them every time immediately, and if i was told not to it would encourage me even more i yearn for the chaos
  5. hope you feel better soon mate
  6. with a rad you’re not going to have the same tangible impact like you do with a set like kin, cold, thermal, nature etc where you can visually see the effects and see the numbers change debuffs are still worthwhile, and good for applying damage procs into your powers. personal buffs don’t change the damage of a proc, but a 30% debuff increases its damage by 30%! i have a rad/ice i play on test and really enjoy it. i’d say stick with it and enjoy the more relaxed pace on teams
  7. shhh, i need to hide my disdain for certain ATs under semi plausible excuses
  8. all the more reason to choose a scrapper then - i’ve never been a fan of brutes
  9. yeah - bigger mobs, more chaos. more often you’ll be hopping through sequentially large mobs near each other when solo encounters are often less frequent and don’t last as long
  10. if you play solo i’d go scrapper so you’re not constantly feeling the need to chase fury
  11. amazing, welcome back! everything’s going really well. people are having fun, there’s great balance in the game, we recently star.. oh, regen? yeah, uh he’s doing great too! lovely guy, always doing.. great.. can you see him? eerrmm, i think.. i er, he’s at his parents right now.. somewhere far i think a phone? no.. i don’t think he bought a phone with him.. you know regen haha, he likes to be disconnected from the world sometimes doesn’t he anyway lovely to see you! just don’t go in that barn that’s making weak dull pain sounds, it’s uh.. haunted or something
  12. some thoughts if helpful spoiler: cheap cheap cheap! i use mine for mostly posi 1 and 2’s thesedays if i was to re-roll my kin i’d likely go with /rad for the -def as i love my low lvl posi’s, helps with the CoT. /elec feels like an obvious pairing but kin is often so fast paced i don’t think the benefits of the end drain are able to shine
  13. sorry this is General Discussion not Fan Fiction 😛
  14. i confuse the titan on my mind dom, no ambrosia needed - handy the other approach as Veracor says is to have a few key people pop some ambrosia and thrash through it all - some heals for the titan are useful. can complete the trial in around 5 minutes with a good team
  15. perhaps but when i’m recruiting on a team and i see the person i’ve invited is a mastermind, it’s like asking a mate to come to the pub for a pint and he turns up with his wife and 4 children who are running all over the place
  16. it’s always been the policy, but jeez man at least try to do something original
  17. i’d still much rather play a /regen than any mastermind though
  18. each get the full damage
  19. i go with intuitive radial paragon on my mind/fire. 33% +dmg, 33% -slow and 20% range, quite handy given you’re ice/ice, musc or intuitive would be fine if you don’t have end problems
  20. got to be @Snarky, always love reading about his tragic PuG experiences
  21. PCGamer are also quite a well known publisher in the UK, they’ve been going for over 30 years - i used to buy their magazines all the time growing up, especially in 2005 when i was buying parts for my CoH machine
  22. i’ve played this combination for almost 5 years solidly, here’s some thoughts:
  23. It’s a damp but mild afternoon in winter, the rain is persistent but not heavy. The clouds above move slowly and show no signs if being in a hurry to go anywhere. The moisture has darkened everything around. It’s peaceful. Calm. Quiet. The only sound made is of rain drops falling from the trees and hitting an old stone path in the churchyard. @Sovera approaches the wall of the church grounds and opens the low, small gate. It makes a unconfident squeak as it opens, before gently swinging back to its original position with a muted clack, the wood sodden from several days of rain. He walks slowly up the path, past the large yew trees which have long called this place their home, and the many grave stones, several leaning gently backwards towards the sky as water makes its way down their mossy fronts. As Sovera approaches the church, the heavy cast iron handle on the door softly but meaningfully turns. The door opens outwards revealing an elderly priest who steps into the rain. The clergyman lifts his clean, cared-for black hat slightly, revealing his experienced but calm eyes. His unhurried stare catches Sovera’s vision as he waits for him to move closer. Sovera’s pace slows as he draws closer to the priest, he comes to a stop several yards from the man and continues to look straight ahead. The two men stand paused in silence as if they are both letting the sound of the dripping rain introduce themselves without words. ”Is it done?” Sovera asks the priest. ”Yes.” He replies, “It is done.” The men pause again, before the priest breaks his gaze with Sovera to look at the ground briefly before walking back into the church. The door closes with a thud as the handle announces its movement with a dull clank. ”Then it is so.” Proclaims Sovera, before he too turns and walks away.
