  1. Is your Blaster optimized for single target damage though? Since it's fire it would make sense if the AoE attacks were given priority.
  2. I'll only invest if this is a ponzi scheme.
  3. I'm not opposed to that at all.
  4. Aahhahahahhahahahaha. You're adorable. ^_^ There was, we were, it was some of the most atrociously shitty behavior I've participated in online. From straight up market manipulation to going out and starting rumors related to fake market trends with gullible players, to private forums used to coordinate big pushes one way or another with as many participants as possible. There's a reason it took a coordinated effort by a bunch of rich players to try and push back. ^_^ All it took to beat anyone trying to manipulate the market was patience. Their ability to control or influence prices to any significant degree was 100% dependent on other people's impatience and/or ignorance. The people attempting such things were not nearly as smart as they thought they were.
  5. Same here.
  6. Players are good or bad regardless of level or powerleveled, IMO. The years long, constant calling out of powerleveling as the reason for bad players is, IMO, silly and false. Also, I think players expect too many other players to play just like they do and this clouds the lens and makes poeple judge others harshly for no good reason. This
  7. This is pretty much my experience as well.
  8. This. Also, SR is pretty great as a second choice.
  9. Thankfully that's more difficult now than it was back when CoH was created because software patents are not a thing that should exist at all.
  10. You can buy the enhancements directly off the auction house. Or you can buy the recipes off the auction house or crafting station and then buy salvage to craft them yourself. I think it's probably cheaper to craft them yourself, but I'm not positive about that. In Steel Canyon there is a University right by Wentworth's where you can do an easy and short arc taht will show you how to craft and you'll even got on out of it.
  11. Since you're level 22 I suggest gettins some generic IOs slotted or perhaps some SOs. Either would make an immediate and significant difference.
  12. Missed this initially, but I think seeing it as 50 is the wrong way to look at it. It's 20% more damage, which is significant. Depending on the power a second recharge could indeed have a dramatic impact on damage too, but will a second accuracy increase the powers overall damage by 20%? That is extremely unlikely.
  13. Not true from my experience and not from the power description Scrapper AAO +300% taunt on target Brute AAO +400% taunt on target Brute is stronger, but scrappers do have a taunt aura in AAO. I definitely notice it. I play a dark armor scrapper and things are running away from me all the time despite the damage aura. Very annoying. Playing a shield (or WP, scrapper WP also has one as well as a couple of other sets), and things rarely run away from my scrapper. Things aren't running away despite the damage aura, they are running away because of it.
  14. There is a lot of general statements being made here. Slotting three of one type of level 50 IOs absolutely makes sense if it helps you reach certain goals. If you are a Scrapper or Blaster and want to maximize your damage with generic IOs, then add that third damage. If you want Hasten up more often, slot that third recharge. edit: Works the other way too. If your particular character goal isn't focused or high damage, then perhaps that slot could be better used elsewhere.
  15. If I was running NCSoft and had no soul, this is exactly what I would do. It would be a dick move, but financially smart.
  16. I've been waiting on you to respond. Even considered making a comment about Cold being a lot better just to bait you.
  17. Welcome back! And yes that's it! Thank you for the correction, I knew I was close but something was off.
  18. Pretty sure at this point that I'm going to go with DM/SD and try to keep Recluse out of the way while jshmoe works on towers. Also, I will be "borrowing" heavily from Murcielago's thread and build. This will likely be done on the beta server, as I have no interest in leveling, buying sets, and acquiring Incarnate powers and accolades for a character I plan on using for one specific task. I love me some Dark Melee and Shield, but I've done them both multiple times so the next Scrapper I level will be sets I have little to no experience with. If I could do TW/SD, then I'd try this on normal servers.
  19. Fighting above level all the time and getting debuffed all the time so overcapping accuracy seems sensible but point taken. As far as squeezing dps, again you can do so better by lowering recharge and end cost than by adding a third damage IO. This is exactly what I'm talking about, more damage IOs =/= dps after 2 in many if not most cases. You're not wrong, but it's also highly dependent on powersets. Some have better accuracy or give more recharge or recovery, etc. Plus a specific attack may already have a short recharge and reducing it past one recharge enhancement may not be the most efficient. This is also dependent on the character level, generally the lower level the more I slot for accuracy and end redux since all the powerset's tools aren't available. If I six slot an attack while leveling, I'll usually put in 1-2 acc, 1 recharge and 1 end redux, and 2-3 damage.
  20. A person's goals heavily factor into this as well. An extra point or two in a power may not matter 99% of the time, but if the goal is to squeeze out every ounce of DPS or reach some goal like perma-hasten or soft capped defenses, then it starts to matter. Additionally one level 50 IO accuracy is more than sufficient for accuracy purposes assuming you're not debuffed or fighting stuff way above your level.
  21. That is the ideal attack chain. It's been a while, but I'm pretty sure it goes Smite > SL > Smite > MG, or some variation on that.
  22. Yeah I quickly started looking at other sites, and they are definitely cheaper other places than Amazon.

This does sound amazing! I love aggro regardless of the AT I play.
  24. I really need to pay more attention, that would have just saved me a lot of influence a couple weeks ago. Thanks for the info!
