  4. I agree. Player would have to figure out how to stem the merit flow or wait out the glut of merits. Not an enviable task. A coordinated team would have any easier time. I am often pleasantly surprised by COX. Simple layered aspects of the game combine for a richness that has shown to be hard to duplicate.
  5. Good stuff. To be super clear for anyone following. I am seeing similar behavior that @Solarverse listed. The exception being I've never had a long animation Assassins Strike with the current Placate without waiting 3+ seconds.

  8. Trying to now figure out how long until we're hidden after using Placate. I only know its a pause, more than 2ish seconds. It is not instant or close to instant.** ** IF SOMEONE THINKS THIS IS BEHAVING INCORRECTLY, I'M ONBOARD WITH ADDRESSING IT!!
  9. Placate has an activation of 0.8 seconds Hide has an activation of 0.73 seconds with a recharge of 2 seconds Placate can be used without hide or stealth. If the placate effect is at 0.25 of it's 0.80 activation (as @Bopper said), and then the Hide activation. It could be a minimum of almost a full second before Hide kicks in. But it feels a bit longer than that. If Hide can't start it's clock until Placates full activation is complete it would be closer to 1.53 seconds before being hidden. Worst case could be the Placate + Hide recharge + Hide Activation. Edit: This is seen when trying to Placate then Assassin Strike. Too fast and you get the fast AS rather than the long AS. A bit of a pause in order to get the long AS.

  11. @Croax's Stalker thread was an amazing effort and fairly exhaustive. There's been nothing close for Broots. 22 Primaries and 13 Secondaries = nearly 300 combinations Sprinkle in 8 Patron/Ancillary Power, improved pool powers, plus Incarnates and we're talking thousands of combinations. Keeping it Simple Brute intended weakness = endurance Brute strength = damage cap/boost Notable = taking hits increases Fury (counter to def cap meta? includes misses) Play Style For Brutes, play style preference has a huge influence on any list. Does the player like combination mechanics in attacks or hate them? HATE, this shrinks down the list Does the player like AoE, ST, or both? Does the player prioritize utility over specialization? Does the player prefer weapons or not? Surprisingly, Stone Melee / Fiery Aura (non fire farming) might actually be one the best all-round Brute combinations. Notables: Damage toggles in Primaries = Radiation Melee, Ice Melee, Spines Dark Melee having a heal and +endurance can be very synergistic.
  12. Wasn't the first rule of MTTH.. oh well. A three pronged attack targeting the current meta would likely cause the most chaos. Prong One Buying specific enhancements LOTG+7.5, LOTG Def, LOTG Def/End AND/OR the +3% Def resist enhancements Nearly every high end build is using these and these have been known to quickly skyrocket in price. Prong Two Buying convertors Block converting into the above. Prong Three Corner Essence of the Earth market. Slow down Hami merit farming, impacting merit to convertor efforts. Result: Internet uber builds costs go up. Frustration in three areas of the game. Alternately, to open up the purple market in a good way. Buy everything in the popular purple sets and sell for 1/2 price. This could be done almost 5,000 times before running out of funds. Guessing this would take some time it would be a bit more than a short term impact.

  14. Yeah, that's not it then. There are a slew of things it could be. You may want to reduce graphics just to see if you can get the FPS up and then add one setting in at a time to figure out the offender.

  18. At this point.. if you wanna primarily AoE vs max targets while teaming we could/should lean Tank. However there are power set considerations depending on that first attack selection and target cap exception. But if you are soloing, Broot. It is, in my opinion, still worth trading that overall number of targets and some of the survive-ability for general effectiveness. Others will rightfully disagree.

  23. What the hell was that?!! oh my goodness. Japanese pop death metal? I feel happy and scared.

Are people using the attack in their attack chain? maybe opportunistically. example: all other attacks are recharging so why not throw in a kick with a small chance to get the proc to fire.Does it have a chance to Proc if I don't click on Kick? nope, have to click the power it is slotted in for that one..I can't imagine many folks are using the power unslotted for Damage, Accuracy or without additional slots for any set bonuses. What am I missing? likely purely for the tiny chance to +recharge if you find yourself hitting brawl from time to time, or punch, why not switch to kick?.. what could it hurt. folks could throw out the formula for proc activation, but in kick, it wouldn't be very often and a such not dependable.
