Some of us have been doing this in game for a long time. FYI Yomo, folks receiving 2 million seem to be more appreciative than those wanting lots more. We've also seen numerous players turn down free start up capital wanting to earn it themselves.

Is there a chance you are not using it as intended? "You can summon a Gun Drone. The Drone has an extremely fast firing rate and is equipped with a customized tracking system. Once locked on, the Drone will continue to unload a volley of lead into the target until it is destroyed. The Drone is armored, but can be destroyed. " It is a set from the beginning of the game and if you are playing level 50 content at +4/8 without a team.. well pets aren't gonna last long in that situation without buffs.

They are working as intended.

@killigraphy I hear what you are saying. Though referencing WoW and FFXIV provides me zero context. If Energy Melee is to be a superior single target set. Is it worth chasing AoE at the expense of that single target focus? If Energy Transfer was reverted first and completely, that may open up the opportunity for other discussion. BUT if the AoE discussion is going to be at the cost of the single target focus it is a non starter for a bunch of folks.

Someone said there are plenty of players out there who are happy with and want to play sets that are single target focused. Likely it is a users connection or setup. To test, lower all settings all the way down and see how it goes.

I like it. Maybe narrow caves clogged with huge Shivan.. (less stab worthy) Knives of Artemis caltrops everywhere (2x stab worthy) Hordes of level one Infected, because that would just be silly..

Devil's advocate could be reducing dependency on those picks.

I have two reactions to this: YES! As a character gets to higher levels maybe they don't need the lower primary and secondary powers preferring to respec out of those and into something more useful. 'god-like'.. it is City of Heroes not City of Gods

With what you wrote, doesn't the math work out to Power Blast individually being less than each Boxing and Kick even without the +fighting synergy? You posted damage and recharge. Power Blast 59.28/8s = 7.41 which is less than Boxing 23.25/2.5s = 9.3 Math.. Some ArcanaTime DPA / DPS / attack chain numbers would likely be more relevant to your point. While Boxing, Kick and Brawl may not be as relevant to this incarnation of the game. There was a time when they were useful.. but I digress. I understand wanting M0R3! I just disagree that pool powers should exceed primary, secondary or epic powers. There is a lot of nuance built into the game with implicit trade offs.

@ChefJackButler Thank you for saying something. The described behavior is not tolerated. A quick note to a GM at the time would result in action. To reach GMs use Menu > Support IP addresses aren't difficult to track.

Rubbish Other items: Aid self is really sloooow. I totally use stealth pre 50. I don't love having to take another power to get phase shift but it is what it is. I'm not in favor of giving access to an additional pool in a build. Trade offs are part of the game. New pools would be interesting. Should we be able to create builds that rely heavily of the pool powers?

The pool powers provide a lot of flexibility and flavor. It's tough to say "just ignore the min/maxers" they may have some good points but their use of the pool powers may be different from the average player or the role playing folks.

I talked myself into rolling a dual blades.. and then deleted it. Couldn't do staff fighting even though I'd like to. I am not in favor of any more combo system type mechanics.
