This would be my recommendation. Stalker if you want a different archetype. Insta-assassin strike and insta-hide put it above other choices for your stated use.

it's shield defense I believe with both 3% globals, maneuvers, combat jumping and 3 teammates (level 21 slotting but might take using level 25 single origin enhancements so level 22) note - a character would be fairly gimped. Also, no where near as effective as say a proper regen at the same level.

This is a special aspect of rare (but not hard to find) costume NPCs. Why not also ask for Null the Gull to be a base item? Here's one reason: If you have that capable of a base, both are already easily accessible without having to run across a zone.

Ice Storm is definitely equivalent to Rain of Fire. (Ice Storm has a little -rech while Rain of Fire does a smidge more damage) As an attack.. meh. Especially once recharge is high enough for better options more often. I actually use them more as shields than attacks. This may sound strange, but I place the center on my side of a big mob rather than trying for the middle to hit as many as possible. The result is they don't run at me. If they do, they stop and run away and are limited to ranged attacks for a bit. Especially big groups that exceed an aggro cap.

I know this much. Ice = fast fast fun. Skipped Frost Breath and Bitter freeze ray mostly due to animation times. Aim + Build Up + Guas chance for + Blizzard is omg Lots of options / proc potential when you start dialing it in.

ack *cough* ack.. it's hard to get this out.. I agree with @Shred Monkey's post above. 😉 To the original post, @Gulbasaur we do have a lot more flexibility in this version of the game. We really can can set it up to fit our play-style. I do appreciate that about the current effort. If you are trooly seeking out a specific experience it should be available and there are likely some other folks of a similar mind. If the player base continues to grow it will be easier to find those folks.

Not really. The game is currently very villain side friendly. AE in Pocket D for heroes and villains. Coop zones for mixed teaming and task forces. Null the Gull to switch as needed.

Okay if we are pie in the sky dreaming. I always imagined a Propel / Trash Can inspired ranged set. Fruit, vegtables, garbage, small animals. Something like: The fruit attack could randomize type of fruit. Tomatoes could have a secondary -tohit.

Many have likely been considering the size of the game, the current player base size and the vast swaths of relatively empty zones. (I think there are 60ish zones) Potentially we could cycle whats available. If there was no red or blue option, folks would play yellow content and exploring it's 9 zones. We sorta do this already for event based activities. Would I still play if it was a private server. Yes. If it was a private server that had an underground way to share player created content, Oh Yes! Minimum playable game? Redside, costume generator, solo with 3 ATs. Brutes & blasters or corruptors & controllers (I don't use controllers). Minimum long term re-playable game? Above plus create-able content via AE in Pocket D. Ouro = luxury, AE = luxury, multiple city zones = luxury, server events = luxury, so many ATs = luxury, etc

Even as a brand new character? I bought some, I remember thinking it might be foolish to have an open slot if I had enough to get something. It took a lot of snakes to level up then and we were in a hurry to get to level 14. I think folks can forget what it was like to be brand new.

It has a lot of control can be built around but the T8 & T9 primaries are throwaways for anything but finishing moves when solo. In a team setting, they are a waste of endurance as the targets are almost always defeated by the time these hit. Is it the top dog? Nope. Maybe middle of the pack with some outliers if they really know what they are doing. Maybe give the old ET just to tanks. No brutes, no scrappers, no stalkers. Given your criteria 1. Stone Melee.. do stone mallets count as weapons? I don't use the mallets (same reason). Air Superiority, Cross Punch, Spring Attack, Ancillary/Epics can make up for them as needed. 2. Energy Melee - maybe you feel lucky and think they are gonna roll back the animation time for Energy Transfer. (everyday I hope for this) 3. Electrical Melee - Fun. Maybe not the best with Invulnerability. Can have 2 teleport attacks with Spring Attack. Kinda swiss army-ish but not like Dark. Radiation might be as good as Stone but I have a feeling it's more like Electrical. Fire and Ice are out due to swords. Savage has a weird (to me) mechanic.
