As I said, it's not needed to cycle the powers the way I listed, but it's good to know it is there. In regular content I barely use Dull Pain. In that context it is on par or even better than some sets. In 4x8, gotta know your targets and need to have a plan for when we bite off more than we can chew. It is never gonna be Invulnerability. MoG is there for taking alphas and it recharges every minute or so. It does waste a good portion of its duration on the activation which is annoying.

Defensive primary sets can be a tough or disappointing paring with Regen. (no DDR) That said, Gloom is a nice attack and leads to Darkest Night which could pair well with Katana and the defense Infinitum was able to cobble together. Me, I chase Resistance over Defense on my high level Regeneration characters. I simply accept I'm gonna get hit. Resist & Regen work well together. I also would try to squeeze Rune of Protection in but that's a three power commitment. That gives MoG (15s), Instant Healing (90s), RoP (60s), an back to MoG (15s) for around 3 minutes of uberness when needed. (not needed 24/7 though). Tip: The accolade Demonic Aura is a good "aw crap" button that lasts 60s but is only available every 10 minutes. I monkeyed a little with #1 (which I liked best) adding some resist and the Accolades for HP an End Brute (Katana - Regen) 1 Rech Troo.mxd

be nice to @Bionic_Flea it could easily be flipped "Do we actually have any dev-provided data mined proof that "An overwhelming majority of game hours is NOT spent in AE farms"? they promised Dev Diaries, we may get a glimpse.

I agree door sitting is not fun. It is, for some folks, the prerequisite to fun. I get that, (I am not in anyway discounting the witty banter which may occur while waiting for a turn to play)

Yep, or if at all? This ties back into the question: Should this be something characters earn or buy? It is interesting to consider different ways to facilitate it. Should it be earned? If so, how should it be earned? Should is be purchased? If so, for how much and from where? Should it be character or account locked?

I'll try and actually answer your question. Powers and Exemplaring see: https://archive.paragonwiki.com/wiki/Sidekick#Exemplar.2FMalefactor "any character "exemplared" to the zone's maximum level still has use of powers up to five levels above the zone's level. For example, if a level 50 character enters Siren's Call (a level 30 zone), the character can use any powers it gained up to level 35." Enhancements, Bonuses and Globals see: https://archive.paragonwiki.com/wiki/Exemplar_Effects_on_Enhancements "Set Bonuses are always on, even if the power in which the Set is slotted isn't activated, and even if that power is greyed out due to exemplaring! However, you do start to lose the bonuses if you exemplar more than three levels under the level of the IOs in the Set." Note: You might also be interested in, Accolades are now replaced by fake-accolades which can be bought at an Arena vendor. These only work in arena and pvp zones.

similar to auto leveling SOs? ah, interesting. I only threw out 40 as a guess to were the expectation of a midpoint was related to time and effort. based on total exp the mid point is near level 45, which I think fails to account for the increased exp per foe as we level. thanks also to the others who also threw out a level that felt right.

See you got it. Now an extension of that is what is also happening over in PvP where they are considering bumping the levels of all PvP zones to 50. For PvE that would or could be changing open zones to be level-less similar to invasions or level 50. Task forces, trials, etc. could be the same. Story arcs could be level specific and lockout powers over certain thresholds. There could be a lot of ideas or ways to go about it.

Should we just bump all the zones, missions, and task forces to level 50+? Any concerns? What's the best way to implement? Do you have thoughts? Good point.

Thinking on it there could be additional versatility with tokens for a smaller range. Lets a player get to 20 or 30 for their reasons Could be one, five, ten, twenty or forty to use up to forty. What had you thinking 35?

I think I've said all I want in this thread. Thanks @Terius. I close with, if pvp zone levels were changed and there is no appreciable increase in pvp numbers (as has been the case with other changes), then it would have been for naught while continuing to degrade the PvE use of the zones. There should be an agreement with these type of changes that if they don't work out for increasing numbers then they'll be rolled back rather than piling on.- 110 replies

I wanna agree, but I thought level 40 was a better option. The more I have considered it smaller level up ranges might be more versatile.

@Luminara There's a lot to unpack in your reply. I'm gonna break it into two replies. In one quote you used I tried gentle terminology which it appears was interpreted differently than I intended. See if you feel your response is still applicable with the edits below. I didn't say that HC has been sitting on their hands doing nothing, did I? I am merely saying that even with all the changes, they have indicated they are not against players leveling up using AE. That said, if some zones are being changed to level 50 to match insta-50s; then maybe there is a conversation to be had to make all zones throughout the game level 50.

This is a good idea. It would allow time to polish up the new zones and address the many associated issues while retaining existing functions. We could even call the zones for the Temporal Warriors something interesting which could explain the break from normal play.. maybe Temporal Zones.- 110 replies
