I love correcting you, but not in a mean or malicious way. Just in a 'hey look at that' I actually know something they don't or forgot... DOH! I didn't keep reading. I think you got the gist of what I was going for though: One hand palm up and forward in a stop gesture that turns into a thumbs up or with the other hand being a thumbs up.

Folks who don't care for PvP, no worries, it's just a discussion. If anyone is unaware, our characters can perform differently in PvP environments than they do normally. Maybe it's time that they should perform the same or at least be as close to the same as is reasonable. None of it has to be across the board. A) In zones B) In some zones C) As an option for arena Why? There are a lot of content assets in the PvP. Making that content more accessible might be good. (folks complain about things being 'gated' all the time) There is more to do in PvP zones than just PvP. Some of the best (opinion) mini games are in PvP zones. Some great earned buffs are available in PvP zones. I think @Darmian had once suggested making PvE copies of the zones so folks who don't want to PvP could enjoy them. Maybe that's the way to go.

It might be interesting if there was an alternate to laying on the ground until being transported to a hospital. Maybe my character could simply take a knee, put a hand up, palm facing the opponent which then changed into a thumbup 'you got me'... before being transported near the hospital. _____ ___ _____ It might be interesting if a player could 'tap out'. Option to give someone a 'win' and just move along without worry of being attacked further. _____ ___ _____ It might be interesting if hit points could only go so low. (like 5 or something) The illusion of never actually being killed. (semantics I know) _____ ___ _____ I guess that would be 1,182 1,183 and 1,184 (note: I am not claiming these are good ideas)

Totally unreasonable request 1,182 Make it so folks don't get killed.

I think this is super helpful information.

I can't argue with "the vast majority of the people returning to Homecoming were the PvE players" I can point out that there are more former PvP players playing than folks might think. There are definitely more former PvP players than current PvP players. I will continue to point to the divergent rule set as potential disincentive and why I don't participate more. Still, I have used the Homecoming PvP zones more than most (mainly soloing). {maybe I am veering too off topic}

Maybe you are looking at it out of context. In context - The impacts of changes can be felt differently by different level ranges, different build budgets, different build choices, and different skill levels. You can strongly disagree but I am going to double down. Yes, a player can absolutely "eventually unlock incarnates by just doing missions and leveling up". If someone has done enough missions to level up all the way through Incarnates, that is not average. Using just SOs, that is definitely not average. These can all be troo: I liked plant before and don't like it now. Plant used to feel stronger. Plant used to be more fun. Plant fit my play style before, now it doesn't. Plant is numerically overall better than is was. Plant works better now for my play style. Arguing against someone's experience and/or how they feel.. That doesn't make sense to me. I guess that would be some jedi shit. "I felt bad",. "No you didn't" I can agree to disagree with whatever your definition of average is. Mathematically, leveling through Incarnates is not average. Game experience, leveling up a character via missions and regular content through Incarnates is not average. Nope.

Howdy! Fiddlefarting around with a lower cost SS / SR Brute which also only uses KO Blow, Rage and Foot Stomp from the primary (wish I didn't have to waste a pick taking Punch). It looks similar to as follows: (though I'm at 47 in game) Even if it only hits one target Cross Punch is just better than Haymaker for me. If it hits 2 or more it is waaay better.
-
If you are comparing Incarnate builds, that is not the average player. I am glad you are enjoying your Plant Nature character. That is not everyone's experience. =========== === =========== Numerically a set as a whole could be better overall AND an existing character could be worse off. Both these states can be troo.
-
ehhh... Not necessarily for the average player which I think was @Tankshock's point. Yes the power set could be leveraged to be powerful with the required knowledge and funding.

Open world: We have PvP zones Duel: We have arena At one point we could watch arena matches as a spectator, can we not do that now? Rewards: Too easily exploitable. There is much that has been given to PvP and we can see the fruits of those efforts. For years in Siren's Call I have seen maybe 3 others. I do my event hunts in Warburg and it is even less used. I'm not saying all pvp ideas are bad. This one though.. how would the divergent PvP rules/settings be reconciled with PvE in non-PvP zones? Might we be better severed eliminating the special PvP rules/settings?

It sounds like you might be doing something fishy. Choices - Consequences.
-
Exactly. Leeching is wrong. Players policing players is worse. I have no problem with and support a team leader encouraging folks and/or running a team the way they have communicated. PUG events,.. it's gonna be a bit of a shit show.
-
Definitely. I have no problem with dropping and moving on. In this case; I'll also report, let folks in zone know what's happening, and that they too can report the offender if they wish. Let the mods sort it out.

Thats not what happens though. They just teleport individual players away from the motel over and over. (AFK or not) When they find ONE they justify what they are doing.

Crafted Enhancements - Black Market Grouping - Split Up
Troo replied to Troo's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I was thinking of just splitting them in two at lvl 35 or 40. -
To get best rewards, door knocking teams need at least 6 members, so I'm okay with leagues that aren't full having 'leeches' because it helps everyone else. The only time it is really any problem is when zones are full.
-
Maybe. I did play on a lowbie yesterday at the PI motel and kept getting TP'd away from the doors. I was busy clicking doors and slapping monsters. I was not AFK. The league was frequently teleporting as a group to the giant monsters and back to the motel but every once in a while I'd get teleported individually from the motel. It's graphically a pretty intense time. Monsters spawning, lots of powers and buffs being unleashed, chasing giant monsters, characters wearing costumes. After the third or fourth time of being teleported to the hospital across from the motel I noticed there was some random player with Recall Target teleporting other folks one at a time away from the motel. I figured that must be who teleported me. So I inquired "hey, whatcha doin?" and they replied "I'm checking people to see if they are AFK." I changed my settings. Options > General > Prompt Team Teleport Then I missed a league teleport to Jack in Irons. I had left the door clicking popup up while doing my door clicking circuit and couldn't see the teleport prompt. My bad. Six reward merits missed. When I got a chance, I looked and saw the player was still teleporting people. This time I saw more of what was going on. This player had another character on follow (multiboxing), both were members of the league, and ironically were not helping take down motel targets, just soaking up the exp. They were simply too busy playing judge & jury, teleporting characters one after another away from the motel, the vast majority of whom were innocent and would then scurry back to the group and the motel.. that's when I called them out in the league chat and reported them.
-
In regards to ToT leagues. Door knocking with at least 6 on a team should be most effective. F-*%ing with players trying to find who is AFK could be considered harassment. You wanna be the AFK police.. become a moderator. It's not your job otherwise.
